We found bed bugs and when we told the staff member he did nothing and did not care about it. He blamed us for them then when we asked him if he was blaming us he denied this and then blamed some ethnic groups for bringing them in. Would not stay here because the bed bugs will still be there because they don't care about the situation. Our bathroom door also had a hole in it from being punched. Not very nice at all. Especially for a hotel that is pretty expensive for what it is.
There wasn't any air conditioning in the room but the guy at the reception was willing to give me a broken fan from the kitchen.
In Nice +30 degrees in a room without air conditioning was unfair. In the internet the hotel was classify as 2 star hotel but when I checked from Nice tourism office, the hotel was classified as 'no class' . When I needed to brush my teeth I had to get a plastic cup from the reception and after shower the bathroom didn't drain water. For me, it was a bad experience!!
Although the majority of the reviews for this hotel are negative i must say that we had an enjoyable stay. I admit, in any case, that probably we' ve been only very lucky to have a good room (108 - 3 ppl room) with an up to date design, flat screen tv, and a nice shower. In the bathroom there were a few signs of dirt, not a wonderful advertising for the hotel but to be honest i must say that i've seen by far worst things. The entire structure is probably under renovation....or at least i hope so as stairs and corridors are not so nice...when we opened the window in the morning a dead rat was there waiting for us. in conclusion our experience has been good but probably the opinion of the other reviewers better reflects the general standard of this place..try to ask for our room...otherwise...cross your fingers...
The hotel is in the center and near the railway station, it's very good. The wi-fi was fast, but some times it doens't work well.
The shower was awful, it was very dirty and the water didn't go out:(((((( the service was very poor the real amount to pay was higher than it was on booking confirmation.
everything ( only the location is okey )
unhelpful staff. when I was leaving I saw the maid had propped the door open to my floor with the fire extinguisher hose
This hotel is a disaster. The smell in the building is disgusting. It is impossible to sleep well in the rooms that smell like this. The employees are rouges. After we check out and went away from the city I was charged 350 euros. So we had to come back to solve this problem. At the reception we found out that they charged us 350 for the broken table. However , we did not break anything in the room and when there we no claims about anything when we were checking out. After that they refused to show us the room and said that they do not have any keys from the room and that we can not contact their manager by phone. Only by email and threatened us to call the police if we do not leave the hotel immediately. All in all I would defenetely not reccomend anyone to stay in this hotel.
Nothing only staff
The staff was wonderful!
+ Good location, close to the tram station
- Not issue a receipt
On a cycling tour my wife had her bike and baggage stolen in seconds from outside hotel. Staff couldn't care less. Next morning met an American guest who had credit cards and phone stolen from room and staff didn't want to know. AVOID
The inside of the rooms were clean and updated.
The halls and lobby were shabby, the hotel and the breakfast wasn't very good.
Lesson learnt: once bitten twice shy.
Traumatic experience: bitten by bed bugs, lices, and mosquitoes. Still bear the bites and itch all over my body after departed for a week. Bugs-infested situation is true. I regretted giving the benefit of doubt to the hotel owners and staff. No medical compensation.
The location was decent and very close to the Nice Ville train station
This place is really not good, yes it is very cheap but we were backpacking for 6 weeks and were used to cheap accomodation. I wont say u get what u pay for because even if something does not have the best facilities etc it should still be clean and this place wasn't, there was mould all in the shower screen, no button in the flush of the toilet, a weird smell and the list goes on. My husband used the toilet in reception and it was blocked with the last persons visit and the staff did not care upon telling them. I dont enjoy writing a bad review but this was truely the worst accomodation if our trip
Olia mal los toilettes.
The staff were pleasant, the bed was comfortable enough and there were plenty of towels provided in the room. The location was close to the train station but this area is also very dangerous at night with lots of drunk men hanging around outside.
I got bitten by bed bugs, the bathroom had a dirty appearance and the window would not close and kept swinging open all night. But you get what you pay for in Nice and at 45 pounds for the night I did not expect much else. This hotel is ok for one night.
I wanted something close to the train station, so that was good. The lobby looked nice. And the wifi was quite good.
It was way overpriced for what you got. The room was hot and when I went downstairs to ask for a fan I was told to open the window (and listen to the noisy traffic). The room was very small. It would have been fine for $40, but they charged me $95!!
The Hotel was close to the station
did not get twin room as requested when changed, room was very small, could not even turn round in toilet, drains smelly.breakfast poor
On my arrival I realized that the was significant leakage from toilet's drainage. That resulted in flooding bathroom's floor with dirty drainage water from stool and urine. This fact was well known to the Hotel personnel before renting the room as they had placed a rolled towel on the floor around toilet's base at the site of leakage. However they decided to rent the room in that condition. I informed the receptionist at 23:00hrs the same night (17th June) who said that would come into my room to look at the problem. However he did not turn up so I had to go to the reception again at 00:45hrs (18th June) where I found the receptionist watching TV. I asked him to come to my room which he kindly did. He identified the problem and considered the situation unacceptable. I asked to move to another room but he said there were no vacancies. I asked him when the problem will be fixed and he told me that would be difficult to be fixed during the day. However he would inform the manager/owner of the hotel. I asked him to inform the manager immediately but he refused because of the late time. In the morning. On my return to the Hotel at 17:00hrs the problem had not been fixed. Discussing with a lady manager at the reception I was reassured that the problem will be fixed in 15 minutes. However after 45 minutes the problem still existed and the man who was working in the toilet had gone. I informed the manager that the problem has not been solved and she said that all had been sorted. I asked her to come to the room and have a look herself but she denied. Instead, she asked the receptionist to come who verified that the problem was still existing. Then the manager said that they will call the technician to look into the matter again. At that time (18:30hrs) I had no option but to find another accommodation as further delay would make reservation in Nice very difficult based on high percentage of fullness (rooms were 95% full).
No thing really
V poor hotel, very low standard and if I chose again, will never ever stay in this place. I'm sorry to be harsh, but it's shocking standard to find in Nice with broken toilet, no towels change, no basics stuff in toilets, v v poor English communication.
After reading bad reviews, we though that surely it couldn't be that bad. When we arrived the staff weren't friendly. When we got into our room, the shower didn't work properly, the plugs were all broken other than one which was up high on the wall and hardly reachable. But the main issue was the entire room was riddled with bedbugs. My friend and I didn't not sleep at all on the beds. Visibly it saw about 50 bedbugs in that room, even the bathroom had them. It was unhygienic and the worst place I have ever stayed in. Do not stay here. It should even be advertised on booking.com!
Tatty, squalid, smelly, extremely poor state of decoration. Very poor value for money as it wasn't cheap. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in
only the position was good!
Not recommended at all!!!! The single room was very hot, without air condition and a lot of mosquitoes. It was also not clean, incredibly noisy and I couldn’t sleep even by using the earplugs. The second day, after the room cleaning, I found the door of my room open! I couldn’t eat the breakfast because at 8:40 the service was already ended! Finally, the staff was not kind with me and they did not speak in an understandable english. Indeed, after 2 or 3 phrases in 'english' they continued the conversation in french.
The most awful hotel a have ever seen
