Great location in Lille historic centre. Very pleasant staff.

Room is quite small.

The internet connection was not stable. Wi-fi at rooms no good.

The ladies on reception were exceptionally helpful. Breakfasts wee good. The ability to get a free coffee/tea in reception at any time was a fantastic boon!!!

The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The hotel itself is a little tired and needs refurbishing. The staff were all excellent, very friendly, courteous and efficient. We always received a smile when arriving back at the hotel. The position of the hotel in Lille is superb, just two minutes from the Grand Place. Overall excellent and we will stay there again when we next visit Lille.

Rooms were very small. One couple in our group did not have a curtain to their room and after several enquiries were told that none could be provided. After some insistence and initially being told that the hotel was full, they were moved to a marginally better room. However, the bathroom was the smallest they had ever seen, with a tiny shower you couldn't turn round in. Having stayed in Comfort hotels elsewhere, group members were unhappily surprised to find the name being used for a hotel at least 2 levels down from other Comfort hotels. The "bar" described on the website was a minute area next to reception. There was nowhere for our group of 10 to sit and have a drink together. The website describes " indoor, private parking facing the hotel available for guest use by reservation" We chose the hotel for this reason as we were visiting the wine fair and wanted somewhere to store wine in our car boot. I emailed before our stay to check that we could reserve a place and was assured that we would be able to access the car park. I also telephoned the day before our visit and was told the same. However when we arrived there were no spaces available, no apology, and we were directed to another hotel's car park "5 minutes walk away"- it turned out to be much further. This was extremely inconvenient. When we paid the bill we were charged 24 euros for 2 days parking; this was reduced by half when I complained about the parking, but did not compensate for our difficulty. The hotel as a whole had a tired look and badly needed an upgrade.

Neighbourhood not great; elevator is very, very small

Ideal location for us, 5 minutes walk from the Eurostar station and the same to the centre of the town. Loads of bars & restaurants within easy reach. Staff were mostly very friendly and the breakfast was good & plentiful. It's also on a fairly quiet street so not too much traffic noise which is always good.

Nothing really drastic but there are areas which could use a lick of paint here & there. For the price we paid we have no complaints.

Very good location for exploring old Lille

The shower head and TV didn't work; both were reported to staff (they even provide a form for doing this!) but nothing was done to rectify the faults. You could hear people talking in other rooms and plumbing noises. Breakfast was poor and eaten in a windowless room at the back.

I liked the Comfort Hotel because it is centralised close to the rail stations and very close to the town centre. Aloo the Hotel is ok for a stop over with friendly staff.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were adequate. Room was clean,tidy and quiet. Obviously,this was no Fairmont or Marriott,but good quality for the price. A central location.

no beer, no wine at the bar. Room was disgusting. Bathroom, the shower rail fell off every time I showered. There were hairs in the bath. Not nice!!!!!

No air conditioning no ventilation could not open windows because of insects. Insects squashed all over cieling. Terrable kitchen smell every morning from nearby kitchen. Could hear everything that went on in neighbouring rooms. Animal fur in stairwell and hallway no cleaning done in our 4 day stay.

Well located being an easy walk to train stations and town centre. Plenty of restaurants nearby around central squares which are just around the corner. Good breakfast. Comfortable common seating area adjoining reception area. We based ourselves here for two nights as part of a visit to northern France.

The elevator was not working on our first night but our luggage was carried upstairs for us. No internet available on the first night. Dead insects stuck on ceiling. Very compact room although bathroom includes a smallish bath tub. Don't expect an outlook from window.

You can walk from the Eurostar station to the hotel with luggage. The hotel is right in the old part of Lille so it's easy to stroll through the streets. The hotel has a lift (the smallest one in the world I think).

The walls are very thin - you had better have quiet neighbours or you won't be sleeping. No tea / coffee in the room. I thought it was a bit expensive for what you get but the location is great. Check out alternatives.

Not easy to get WI-FI in the room.

The hotel room was in line with the description on Booking.com. Nothing special, but more or less what we expected. The location of the hotel was just perfect: Close the Opera in the city centre of Lille and with the possibility to park your car (for 12 euro a night).

The hotel is very basic. For example, a painting on the wall would have made the room a bit more cozy. Breakfast was ok, but the room was way too small for the total number of tables/chairs that were in there. It would have been better if they had used the lobby instead. Final grade: 7,5.
