I liked the price.

I did't like the location (in front of the train station), and the cleaning ( blankets were dirty and stained) and I didn't like the carpet too .

We needed an overnight stay close to the station in Nice before continuing to Menton. This was convenient for us.

I would not want to stay here for more than one night, just becuase the location is quite seedy near the station and I am sure there are far more pleasant parts of Nice to stay. However it was very cheap so served our purpose for one night.

The location is neary by train station, very convenient

The location in relation to the train station was the one positive of Hotel Choiseul.

The photos of this hotel online are very deceptive to say the least!! It's a hostel with doors, and not clean at all! Very dated rooms and furniture,, bedding did not look clean enough to sleep on! There were no towels, and desk staff seemed irritated when we asked about them. After checking into the hotel and being completely underwhelmed my boyfriend and I went to explore the City and the entire time we talked about the room and how awful it was! On our reluctant way back at the end of the evening we stopped by a few other hotels looking for vacancies and found one for around the same rate at a place closer to the water and much much nicer, practically brand new! We got a room there and went back to Hotel Choisel to get our stuff. The only thing the staff at Hotel Choisel was concerned with was making sure we understood we wouldnt get a refund?! $100 bucks lost, but better than having to stay there for even 1 night!!

Staff helpful, especially with my limited French!

Single room poor value for money. Thursday charged €55, Friday charged €130. Shower had a mind of it's own, mopped up after every shower.

I strongly recommend this hotel for several reasons. First, location is a choice, because it is very close to Nice train station( gare de train) as well as central zone. Second, a combination of a good price and comfort is also a choice. It's a 3rd star good quality(a clean and bright room, a comfortable bed, a equipped toilet with hot water and a blower, even a safe deposit box and a suitable size, hotel , but price is not so expensive. Third, you can surf on the internet in the hall for free charge. Finally , its staff is very friendly and beautiful.

A bed of single rooms should be enlarged a little bit. Sofa could be added in single romms, because old people may stay in the hotel.

Good location, the hotel situated right outside the trainstation with a velobleu spot（CITY BIKE）and supermarket within 5 mins walk, 10 mins from tram station. Friendly staff.

There were only wifi in the lobby.

It was close to transport. Quite, pleasant staff, sheet changes every day good location for shopping or the beach Beds very comfortable a good basic hotel

The tiles in the shower needed a good cleaning. Shelf in bathroom held together with selotape

It was easy to find the main road to the beaches from the hotel and the staff was great.

Right next to prostitutes and drug users. The side streets were not safe.

Most of the staff was helpful, location was good, comfortable bed.

Water pressure in shower was very weak. Check in was a little difficult, we were told we were moved to a nearby hotel, we went there and had to come back later to check in, then we were moved back to Choiseul.

The location... Housekeeping gave us beach towels. Easy access to airport bus (300 m)

We booked the room from the airport, and when we came to the hote, the clerk told us "you are at the wrong hotel" and an old man walked us to a different hotel managed by the same owners. This hotel was named Hotel Medicis. No ac, No elevator after midnight for some reason. Rude staff at night time, polite during day time. The have a restaurant, not that we wanted to try it, but we noticed that during 5 days, they held open 1....

Being that I arrived in Nice by train I loved the proximity to the station. In your material you should indicate that fact. I was lucky that I speak French and learned it from the locals, otherwise a taxi ride would have been totally unecessary.

I stayed one day fewer than booked and informed the reception in good time. I hope I will receive credit for the last night I did not stay. The night receptionist told me he did not have authority to change my payment. I hope I will see the refund reflected in my American Express charges. I will return to Nice next year for business and will stay at Choiseul again if they are fair.

Smelly noisy room

The room was small but the building was renewted,. The room was clean, only has not the minibar. The staffs, specially the old man staff at the night sift, were kindly and good with smile all of the time. The man who was the manager of the hotel, was a real manager and managed of our problem in early check out with booking.com. I am thanks to his.

Very good hotel in perfect location - next to train station. Free wifi available downstairs.

Our room was in the sixth floor and we had little french balcony in the bedroom and also in the bathroom. The view was towards the railway station, so not anything particularly breathtaking :) but it was lovely to have the cooler evening air come in to the room from the open balconies and it made the room feel more fresh and spacious. Room was very clean and everything functioned very well. Staff during daytime was great, we actually received service in Finnish as the cheery receptionist was Finnish as well :) that was a nice bonus. She was very kind and professional and gave us good recommendations for dinner.

The night manager at reception was pretty rude as my boyfriend went to by some fanta during the night, but anyway we got served. The bed could be more comfortable. Also the decor of the room starts to be a bit outdated :)

No far from railway station.

There is Wi-fi bu in you room you cannot use it because of a low signal. I was charged 2 times. I learnt it only when I came home. They tested my credit card and charged me and than I payed in cash. Be aware!

The receptionists were friendly and the bus to Nice airport stops across the road.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! Check-in was supposed to be at 2pm but the room wasn't ready until 3.30pm. The room smelt like sewerage, so after waiting another 20 minutes we were assigned a new room. My partner took a shower, and cut his foot open on the edge of the shower door which was broken and had a sharp edge. The wireless Internet wasn't working for 80% of the time. Do NOT get the breakfast 'buffet' -it looked nasty, and consisted only of processed ham and cheese slices. AVOID!
