In a great location, we loved it. Double glazing plus an extra window so no street noise. We are planning another visit already.
Plumbing was a bit noisy and the car park was hairy.
Cecile who greeted us with such warmth, courtesy, professionalism and friendliness when we arrived. Full explaination of all facilities Kitchen in unit, communal breakfast and garden areas spotless and a pleasure to use. Free use of umbrellas and shopping trolley. Close to everything. Rooftop area just amazing!!!
spacious apartment clean equipment all in working order lovely balcony supermarket nearby
frontbed room was quite noisey
GREAT STAFF. Location and the view from sun terrace. Garden side apartments (studios) are very quiet - so it gives a good night sleep. Fridge, Micro-oven, Kettle and hot plates all worked well.
Sorry to say the wall-to.wall carpets were too old and in bad condition. They should change them into nice floor tiles. Please do it.
Beds were very clean and comfortable. Staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Let down by the negatives
Decor was very tired and grubby, in dire need of refurbishment. Woodchip wallpaper badly needed coat of paint and sheer curtains were positively grey. Door to balcony did not close properly. If bEds had not been clean we would have been looking for other accommodation.
Bit of a poke whole. Unless you stay for a week they will not service your room unless you pay extra. It was not very clean and the room was very small. Kitchen was badly equipped. Dirty carpet.
great location great staff
- very good location-3 minutes by walk to beach, 5 minutes to main streets and restaurants, close to shops - very well euqiped kitchen - nice view - nice sun terrace - very good WiFi - comfortable bad - Generally you should not expect more for this price in this hotel, which is almost in the city centre
- room was quite dirty - especially bathroom and toilet fan, the couch, towels were not ideal as well - separate toilet without the sink - one lift - sometimes need to wait 5 minutes - room is rather small and is connected with the next room by door, so you can hear the neighbours - you need to ask about toilet papers in the reception desk...
Terrific location. Close to beach, central Nice and SCNF train station (Nice-Ville). Good to have cooking facilities. Beds comfy.
1 euro per person per day added to final bill. Something about a 'tax'. Not fully explained. Not much - just annoying.
Well - actually nothing at all.
The whole place smelt of stale food and was damp. All the fitments were the cheapest and poorest quality imaginable. It felt unsafe. There were were no smoke alarms or sprinklers anywhere visible in or near the accomodation. The apartment was probably the tiniest I have ever seen in my life. The bathroom was unsafe. The shower fitment was right opposite the light switch, so that after showering, because the glass shower door was so small, and the room was so small, water had sprayed onto the light switch. I noticed this on getting out of the bath/shower, and wiped the switch with a towel. If I hadnt noticed it, I could have got an electric shock. The car park was again, the smallest I have ever seen, and almost impossible to manouvre the car around, even though the car wasnt particularly big. When we arrived, had parked, and got out of the car, the car park was extremely dimly lit, so that it was really hard to orientate ourselves in getting the luggage out, and finding the right exit to get up to the accomodation. The whole experience of this place was awful, and I couldnt wait to get out in the morning. The only decent thing was the guy at reception seemed quite friendly, but he didnt really have to do alot except book people in and say bonjour and au reviour. A computer could have done it. Also, the sofa was itchy and obviously very cheap, and smelt bad like everything else, and I actually refused to even sit on it. If Nice doesnt offer much better than this, then steer clear of Nice. I was only there for a night after coming back from the southern French Alps before flying home, and one night was too many!!!!
Fast Wifi, friendly staff, free coffee and tea all day in the lobby. Well equipped kitchen and good airconditioning. Close to the beach an airport bus stop
Apartments at street side suffer from the very heavy traffic, even on the higher floors. One, very slow, elevator. Carpets in the apartments are rather dirty.
We have been with this apartment hotel several times. Great with new prober beds for everyone, nice prober dyvets instead of terrible plastic blankets they use to have. Always a great place to stay, central in Nice and 2 min. from the Promonade. There are washing machines where you can wash for 5 EUROs and this is needed because you do not get any new towels during your stay even if you stay for 2 weeks. You can rent Velo Blue Bikes easy and for almost nothing but please do not attemt to do them via the automats which are impossible if you are not French. You need to get an "Oyster Card" from the office that runs the bikes (offices right opposite the Central SNCF train station or at the Place the Messena). It is the Company that runs the bus service that also runs these bikes. They will make sure you have 150 EUROs on your Card (for Insurance) and ask for your mobile no. No Money is taken from your account. You can ask to have more than one bikes connected to each Oyster Card as a family. Then you scan the card at the Automatic machines easy everywhere around the city and 1 EURO an hour will be charged by the end of your journey automatically.
Could do with a regular change of towels when you stay for weeks in this otherwise wonderful appartment hotel.
We spent 3 wonderful nights at Citadines Promenade and would do it again given another chance. From the friendly, helpful staff, to the comfort of our apartment, to the central location of the hotel, we couldn't have asked for better. Each one of these factors contributed to our fabulous stay in Nice. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to travelers both old and young. Thank you Citadines, hope to be back soon.
room tired and not as clean as would have hoped
Perfect location, friendly staff
Poor sound isolation between some hotel rooms - we have heard what our neighbors were talking about in the night.
staff were so friendly and helpful.we have been all over the world and now that we have found nice we have being telling our friends about it. if we go back we will stay at citadines.
as we are now senior citisens two armchairs would be nice. Best wishes Dan and Joan Madigan.
The location was good - near enough the centre and beach but away from noise. The public areas were good. The staff friendly and helpful.
The filfth. We had to wait until our room was made ready but when we got there all the surfaces were dirty and there were cigarette ends and peach stones on te balcony. The walls were black with dirt near the air con system and their were big black cobwebs which must have been there for months. There was a smell of cigarettes. You could clearly hear the conversations from the adjacent room.
balcony over garden comfortable beds new décor in foyer
noisy doors banging in the middle of the night
Attitute of staff, service, facilities very poor.
The kitchenette and they put petals on our bed and gave us chocolates and a fruit box when I said it was our honeymoon.
good location, great roof terrace, ground floor courtyard/reception and balcony. Good lounge with sofa bed.
Toilet, carpet and some paintwork needed updating.
Staff was really helpful. Close to promenade des anglais. Great location. Nice breakfast.
The lobby was updated and clean. Plus they offer free coffee and tea all day.
The cleansiness and smell of the room was bad. The rooms were very dated (except the bathroom). The sofa had cigaret burns on it and the carpet was filthy.
Good value for money and location. Staff friendly and helpfull.
Please wash the lace curtains!!!
