Great to be able to catch up on washing. Bed comfortable. Desk staff very helpful.
Didn't realise it was so far out of Avignon Centre, but did learn to use the shuttle as adviced by the desk staff. The fridge was not working well.
The hotel is clean, the bed is excellent and it is close to the TGV station.
To get to town you have to take a bus. I was led to believe by the staff that there were plenty of buses to town, which there are during the day, but I wasn't warned that there are no return buses from town after 8 pm. So check the bus and train schedule. Much more convenient to stay in town and take the bus from the TGV station there than go back and forth to town on the bus from this hotel.
everything, especially poor staff
5-10 mins walk from Avignon TGV station which has easy connection to Avignon Centre station and therefore provides easy access to historic centre of Avignon and connections to other nearby towns worth visiting. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. A fault with the shower unit was reported on my way out in the morning and had been fixed by the time I returned from my day's sightseeing.
Studio accommodation should all have sofa-bed rather than fixed bed as this would make a more useful living space for the time spent in the accommodation when not actually sleeping.
the facilities, the behavior of the receptionist, etc
location and this that staff were not present in hotel from 6 pm to 6 am.
Near TGV-station and by car very fast to the centre of Avignon. Parking facilities. Mre a note for short stays
Well-organised cheap hotel chain. email beforehand with entry codes and explanation meant we did not have the kind of midnight confusions we have experienced with similar chains in France. Location great. Short walk to TGV station. Never saw any staff but given the automated organisation, didnt need to.
Staff were very helpful. It was in an excellent position for using the TGV or for going into Avignon by car (very close indeed). A good supermarket very close by with good prices to do the shopping. The bed was very comfortable, the room very quiet for a good night's sleep and the kitchen well-equipped for preparing a basic meal. I will definitely go back the next time I am in Avignon.
The weather was not too hot when we were in Avignon in August which was great but because there was a duvet on the bed we had to sleep with the air-con on because we were too hot with the duvet. I would have preferred sheets on the bed in summer to avoid this. Appart from that everything was great.
Good location for train travellers.
the best thing is that you can buy anything you want in the nearby supermarket and cook in your room
no wifi, only cable internet in the room, it's not convenient
Room is large and clean, really nice. And we could cook inside. 10-15 mins walk from TGV, and same time to a big supermarket.
Staffs can only understand a little English.
Friendly and helpful receptionist. Very close to TGV station - it's only a five-minute ride into Avignon, although the trains are not that frequent. Helpful to have the self-catering facilities - they are more than adequate to cook a simple meal. We had a large room with plenty of space to move around. If you are driving, you can get to the hotel without grappling with the city traffic. Once we had arrived, we left our car in the secure lock-up parking area (a big plus) and used public transport.
It was very warm when we were there and it's a shame there wasn't either a balcony or a sitting-out area. There's plenty of unused space outside and it's difficult to see why a few chairs and tables couldn't be provided. Wi-fi is supposed to be available in the hotel lobby, although we struggled to get a connection. There's a big commercial area a mile of so away, but no local facilities - no restaurants, shops, bars etc. You'll need to do all your eating, drinking and shopping in Avignon before catching the train back!
With a kitchen in the room and a Carrefour nearby. Good for tourists who want to cook themselves.
Location is great near to TGV Avignon and easy to travel.
I think the hotel should inform the hotel guest about the train movement and the train service will be limited and should have notice in the hotel notice board with the Train new schedule. The hotel is very far from central and travelling is very crucial.
Nice location near the train station with nice staff and a good kitchen! Near Carrefour, very convenient.
Very nice, helpful receptionist. Smiley, polite cleaner during day. Reasonably good breakfast, self-service. Comfy beds. Children happy. Facilities for cooking. Free baggage store. Air conditioning. Windows could be opened wide.
Lumpy pillows. Bath fittings worn out and in need of replacing. Kitchen area so small and badly designed, it felt dangerous - no surfaces to put cooking pots/plates/implements.
Location beside train station would be good for those arriving late to the city. There is plenty of free parking. Air-con. Bathroom was roomy.
No character in this area. Need transport to access centre, but this is regular. It's well connected during the theatre festival (perhaps all year too). The pillows were horrendous. Clumps of stuffing in a case. While we didn't require the kitchen facilities and only booked a studio because it was the best price, I must say the one we got was not as nice looking at those in the pictures. Useable though, but basic.
Very friendly staff who helped us out after the airline lost our bags, and kindly took them upstairs to our room when they finally arrived. Very close to car rental places and the tgv station. Relatively close to the local Carrefour. Clean, neat, generally very pleasant.
If you want to stay in the centre of Avignon, this might not be quite what you're looking for. Getting back to the hotel in the evenings after public transport closes down is tricky if you don't take a cab. Still, it depends on what you want. The hotel was very good otherwise.
near avignon TVG station, good location
no wifi in the room
Good location easy for late check-in and early check-out
wifi is only available in the lobby and sometimes very slow. There is no daily maid service and remember to empty the bin yourself
kitchen appliances including microwave, electric stove, hobs and etc. clean and comfort room free wifi at lobby
We loved the access to the TGV station and the navette transfers to the city centre as well as it's proxity to the car hire providers. Also car park was available.
location and cleanliness
clean room and nice comfy bed. Lift` to floors and new facilities.
The WIfI keeps logging you off and you have to reconnect all the time. But that is typical of Europe so far.
