Adagio Access Besançon La City  

The advertised "free wifi internet access" is a lie - only in the lobby, the internet cables were broken, the desk had no replacements, the plug was behind the bed and nowhere near a desk, and the service was never functioning. Chaos pure at the reception desk, rude help and they were not even capable of ordering a taxi; I had to run two kilometers uphill to catch my train. The hotel is a disaster. The room was dark, dirty and drafty.

Convenience for City Centre, underground car parking, helpfulness of reception staff

Free parking, fridge and kitchenette in apartment. Quite close to town centre. Kids sleeping area seperate from adults.

Our room was on the first floor above the entry where everyone goes to smoke. It smelled of cigarettes so badly that we could not have the window open and there was no air conditioning. I think ot would be ok if you get a room at the back of the hotel.

The lady on reception who appeared to run everything (!) was excellent. Friendly, intelligent, professional and she even tolerated me speaking French to her though her English was fluent. I like the secure underground parking too and the free broadband Internet.

Not really a complaint but the entrance to the car park was a bit confusing. It appears to share the entrance with some nearby offices and its own excellent car park can easily be missed.

Having kitchen facilites in our spacious rooms (double and the twin). Receptionist was very helpful and spoke clear english which made things easier. Great having a good clean functioning laundry.

To be able to have use of a kitchen a great advantage. Very well designed.

Hotel's location just across the Doubs River from Besancon's historic center was its best feature. The city is very attractive and well worth a visit.

The Citea Besancon is clearly second rate. It is depressingly drab; the spartan room was decorated with a sole picture - of an elephant.

Our studio was spacious and well equipped. Staff is very friendly and pro-active: they called us as soon as they received our reservation, to check our arrival time. Since we were arriving late, they gave us all the info we needed to get in after hours.

Provided the city has only a couple of well hidden restaurants, the kitchen in the apartment is vital.

Il est regrettable que la règle du non fumeur ne soit pas respectée POUR les personnes qui ne supportent pas le tabac, un seul choix garder la fenêtre ouverte, mais a ce moment la... tant pis pour le bruit sur une route/avenue très passante une grande partie de la nuit, et tot le matin. très dommage
