“The staff were nice, the place nice and comfortable, and able to make some food. Feel like home, and out of noisy city where it is nice and quiet and homely. Really will stay there again and recommend to our friends as well. Thank you so much!”

The Adagio at Charenton (formerly Citea) is a very nice, comfortable apartment hotel on the outer ring of Paris. The apartment includes a kitchen with microwave, stove top and refrigerator, so basic meals are easy. That’s especially convenient in Paris where a dinner at a restaurant for a small family can easily run 40 Euros. Several groceries are nearby. The hotel itself is located between Liberte and Charenton metro stops on the #8 line, which conveniently takes you into the heart of Paris. It is however a long ride. The rooms were clean and the staff was relatively helpful (for Paris). The compensation for the distance from the city center came through in the pricing as other, more central, Adagio hotels were much more expensive, sometimes double. Overall, this is a nice economic choice for Paris. The hotel is adjacent to a highway and across the street from a cemetery, but our room faced a courtyard and was quiet. The one truly annoying element was that even though the WiFi was free, it was only available in the lobby and even there the signal was not strong. The rooms have a network cable if your computer can use that (not MacAir). Their cleaning price structure is somewhat curious. If you stay 4 nights, there is no cleaning and the per day price is quite cheap. If you stay 3 nights or less, they will clean your room daily and the per day price is somewhat higher. Just be ready for that oddity.

It was close to metro station Liberte. Reception staff was unpleasant. They were shouting at other people. Room was not clean. For cleaning it was needed to pay additional fee. Air conditioning was not working properly. And it was not possible to open windows due to the intense traffic on nearby street. It was too hot in the room. There was no curtain in the shower so bathroom was wet all the time.

Excellent Price for Paris. 2 nights here cost the same as one night most other places. Our children were thrilled that they could see the Eiffel Tower off in the distance out the window. The room was good. Fridge, small kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Good amount of space in the 1 bedroom for our family of 5. 5 minute walk to the Liberte metro station and about 30 min to most locations in the city. Felt like a safe residential neighborhood. Small supermarket between the hotel and the metro station. We would stay here again and will recommend it for people traveling to Paris especially on a budget. Staff was helpful and friendly. Parking for 10Euro/night was great. Secure underground garage and they let us leave the car after check out while we went into the city. Only issue was a baby cot. We had requested one. On check-in, we were told it was in the room. It was not. We had arrived at 10pm and the night clerk told me he was not able to access the baby cot if it was available since the hotel was full. He offered extra blankets so we could make up a "bed" on the floor. Luckily, another reviewer had the same issue and we had brought our own just in case. Glad we did.

Good location, clean and tidy room, value for money. Two rooms apartment is not really an apartment with 2 bedrooms. In fact, it is an one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room. There is no washing/drying machine in the apartment, unlike some of the apartments which fitted with this facilities.

Good value for money. Both rooms were reasonably clean. Breakfast buffet at 7.50 e was excellant value. 1. The worst thing about the hotel was the dreadful surley receptionist who was on the desk when we arrived. There was no attempt at making us welcome which surely what his job is !!! He was quite ignorant, rude and with no eye contact with guests. He really let the hotel down and should be sacked. 2 ,One of our rooms (406) had a bad smell of drains coming from the kitchen area. 3 it was very hot -early autumn heat wave but the air conditioning did not work in either room ,presumably it had been switched off centrally to save cost - not good.

Comfortable apartment - small kitchen area but functional and useful for a short stay. Small apartment but as expected for the budget. 5 min walk to metro station. There is a supermarket near the metro station so very convenient. Takes 30 min to reach city centre. The living area is completely occupied once the sofa/bed is opened. Hair drier in short supply (need to book in advance).

The facilities to make drinks and meals in the small kitchen area, which had microwave, hob, fridge etc and the use of the hotels free wifi /internet facility. Room was basic but clean. Ordered a taxi through the hotel reception on a number of occasions and soon realised that we were paying around 10 euro's over the normal price, the taxi would arrive with 6 euro's already on the meter, after speaking to a number of taxi drivers we had that took us back to hotel after days out this is not correct as the maximum starting price any taxi can charge is 2.20 euro's - be warned do not book a taxi through the hotels reception. On our arrival ( around 2am) the member of staff on reception was extremally un helpful, and my husband had to phonr and bang on the hotels entrance to wake him up! Once awake he was relunctant to let us use the hotels parking facility even though this was advertised on the web site. He had no idea how long we had booked in for,and kept trying to tell us we had only booked the one night when infact we had booked a 3 night stay on line. The fan in the bathroom did not work and the fridge door was broken. We witnessed a guest telling reception that they had been woken at midnight by a hotel cleaner entering their room, and when they raised there concerns to the member of staff at reception, he was very rude and unhelpful, and all they were offered in reconpence were clean towels!!

Considering Paris to be an expensive city, this hotel had family rooms at a reasonable price. Though it was facing a motorway but the double windows ensured we were not disturbed by it. The location is far from centre but considering the metro frequency, this wasn't too much of a problem.

Located just out of Paris City. It is close to transport and easy to get into town. The desk staff were great however the staff at breakfast were not helpfull and don't expect much if they run out of food. Parking was available, and free Wifi is handy when you are travelling.

It was close to a train station. The breakfast was good. The staff tried to offer us some options after their had been a problem with our booking. Our booking had been lost it seems so we didnt get the room/ bed configuration we had expected although after some pensiveness to begin with the stafff did warm up and sought to find a solution to the problem. It is a a bit of a hike on the trains to most sites/ outgoing trains etc in Paris although we knew that beforehand ... let's face it you have to pay to stay close to the centre of Paris. The double beds are quite small.

Wonderful city of Paris that I want and back again. Many attractions, Versailles, the Louvre, Notre Dame and others are simply fantastic. The hotel is a very good location, near metro, near a supermarket. Very good transport links, close enough to the city center. Clean rooms, cleaned every day. Booking for a study of four people, one double bed and two beds are individually. When we arrived we were surprised, because we found only two double beds. Turned to the staff, but staff was not willing to deal this problem. And this issue remain unresolved.

The staff were fantastically helpful. Whilst the hotel is tucked away in an area 20 mins metro ride from the central part of Paris, the area was quiet with restaurants close by and a supermarket was located just down the road. The room was spotlessly clean. As a female travelling on my own I felt very safe in the neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend it. Only small negative was that the room was very basic, but still good value for money.

The good part was that this hotel provided serviced apartments, with daily cleaning. Apartment was very neat and clean.Very affordable and economical. Location - A little far off from the City centre made difficult to commute considering that we were travelling with a young child and seniors. Although the apartment was published as 2 room apartment, in theory it was a 1 bedroom apartment and was a bit congested for 4 adults. We had also requested for a baby cot, which was not available during our entire stay.
