Adagio Access Bordeaux Rodesse1bis Rue Jean Renaud Dandicolle, 33000 Bordeaux (Show map) Good, Score from 560 reviews“The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The fact that you can prepare food in the room in the little kitchen (I just made tea but the facility was there). It was fairly central and so it was easy enough to walk to most places of interest or get a tram or bus.”
Susan,
Dublin

The staff was very efficient and helpful. The breakfast was good value - 8 euroes for a buffet spread of breads, cheeses, jams, juices, cereal, yoghurt, tea & coffee. Comfortable beds. Good security. Washing machine & dryer facility. Supermarket about 5 minute walk away. The location was a long way from anywhere if you don't like walking. It was a 15 minute walk in either direction to get into the main sections of town. The area appeared to be run-down & looked a bit dangerous for anyone by themselves at night. The room was sound-proof when the windows were shut but there was no fan. The street outside could be noisy at night. The airconditioner was more noisy than the street though! No option to refrigerate or provide your own food. When the kitchen was closed, there was no facility to boil water for a drink. Not much storage space in the room for a 3 night stay. The shower head had to be held by hand, which is not easy when you are washing long hair. Better for a 1-2 night stopover stay.

Excellent staff especially at reception (Caroline) bit of a trek into the town centre (10 mins) but then I'm not someone who walks anywhere, others may find that acceptable

Convenient, parking Bathroom - poor design. sink too close to toilet - it could have easily been moved 15cm further over. Shower head holder was at nose level (I am 170cm tall) and fired water at the wall. Had to be hand held - a few mnutes thought could have made this bathroom useable.

The hotel was in quieter area on the edge of the centre of the city. It is only 10 minutes from the Cathedral and 15 minutes from the Football Ground, where we were watching a Rugby match. The breakfast was very good with a choice of french bread and croissants delivered daily. We did not use the kitchenette provided, but wished we had taken tea bags and milk to put in the fridge in the room. Breakfast starts at 8.30am on weekends. The location is also only 15 minutes walk from the bus stop for the number 1 bus which takes you to the airport for 1 euro 40c.

Helpful staff, their English much better than my French. Our 2 person studio appartment was fit for purpose. Location just outside Bordeaux old town. Bordeaux itself - beautiful, and sunny! Our 2 person studio appartment was smaller and scruffier than I expected. Shower impossible to use standing up, connection on the wall broken in room 125 tv had only one English language chanel, given freeview and satellite these days it ought to be possible to offer more choice (what about Spanish or German visitors?). Larger and flat tv screen these days?

Good value for money, The hotel is well situated less than 10 minutes walk from the Hotel de Ville and the cathedral. We will stay at this hotel again. I booked at the last minute and the hotel car park was full so next time I will call to check this first.

Good value. Clean. Simple. Possible double charging! I have yet to check - but I think I paid e51 to your site and was charged e60 on the morning of departure. Next - After hours protocol. Big shout to booking.com - make it totally obvious and clear (even if it means screaming capitals) that there's no-one at reception after 9pm. No problems with that - how else can you do inexpensive rooms near the centre of a major city? But after 9pm, it's codes and bits and bobs. I got in and spoke to a very helpful lady. She was charming and helpful - and must have been tired of taking calls at 9.30 at night... Not sure if she speaks English. I suspect it would have been tough for a non-French speaker. Overall, happy - subject to reclaiming any double payment.....

The size of the room was definately helpful, big windows provided plenty of natural light but also had light blocking curtains. No air-con or fan provided... But only slight discomfort.

Clean rooms, nice staff. The Internet connection worked really well, and having the small kitchen in the room is very convenient. Overall, good quality/price relationship. I could not make work the code for opening the door.

The Staff was welcoming, the town location and room were fine, however after my first night stay on Saturday 27th at about 9.30am, I informed the duty receptionist that in my bathroom, the toilet bowl was dirty due to tartar, I mention to her that they should use Harpic, she replied that they use bleach, I did ask to have it cleaned the same day as I expect a room to be spotless. When I returned in the afternoon, nothing had been cleaned and the bed had not been made. Upon checking out and returning my room key on Sunday 28th, I mentioned this again to the duty receptionist, another young lady and I also mentioned to her that the next guest surely will appreciate a clean bathroom, she told me that since I had a special offer, they did not clean my room, I was not informed of this the previous day and I feel that it is poor management to rent a room with a dirty toilet. When I book this hotel again, I will alight this on my booking as I have minimum required standards.

Location wise, it is about a 5 minute walk from Palais De Justice tram stop and one stop will take you to Hotel De Ville where you can connect and head up town to Grand Theatre, Rue St Catherine is close by, the longest shopping street in Europe and just off this street is Rue San Remi, best collection of restaurants in Bordeaux with indoor and outdoor seating, Highly recommend L'Ombriere! Beer and cocktails are expensive in Bordeaux about €6-8 euro per cocktail and didn't find anywhere that could make a decent one! Pints of Beer approx €7-8 euro. Best option is the vino, anywhere from €2.50+ per glass. Back to Citea Bordeaux, it is also close to Meriadeck shopping centre and our room had a little kitchen area so easy to cook for yourself. We enjoyed walking back from the centre at night, nice walk and felt safe in the area, even though quiet streets! Nice pool too but not heated so very cold! Clean towels delivered every day if you like and a room clean Drawbacks: No air-con, so you absolutely melt in the room in the summer and bathroom was small and compact and toilet could do with a proper clean! Overall would recommend for a short stay, you get what you pay for really, if you can handle no air-con during the summer and fine location if you like walking
