Difficult to find at night
It was in a good location to start the Mount Sainte Victoire drive; a pleasant surprise to find the room was self-contained; very affordable; the staff was helpful when we had difficulty finding the place; and as we had a hire car it was good to have a very secure car park.
There is no lift if you happen to have heavy luggage, but as it is only one floor up and such an old building it was not a problem for us.
The old building was lovely and great value for money The room with split level made it very cosy and good for a family Parking out the front was terrific Location not far off the highway suited us
Everything was great - my only suggestion would be a new shower curtain. It was clean enough but...
Fully equipped kitchen in the room. Great staff. Very good value.
The room could use some refreshing.
People very dedicated to make your life easier
Breakfast, very poor compare to the quality of the Hotel. Nvertheless, possibility to manage your own breakfast to the room
The location was good and the grounds were charming. The rooms were just the right size.
The beds were VERY uncomfortable and my husband and I both woke up with back pain. We were glad that we had only reserved one night!
Big spacious parking lot; wonderful gardening; staff on reception spoke very good English;
Not clean enough, furniture and bedding old and worn off - quite uncomfortable; room dark and gloomy
WE loved the gardens and outside area but felt the inside could do with a comfy bed and updated linen.
We felt the bed was very hard and cramped upstairs and the linen looked old. We were not able to have a window open at night so it was stuffy also.
Quietness; well equipped kitchen; good room and bed.
There was not much that I didn't like; I missed an 'easy' chair in the room, would be nice to have.
close to town nice and quite and kitchen equipment
Receptionist on weekend was rude and not helpful with ideas of restaurants or tourist sites to visit as she was more anxious for quitting time than helping guests. Property is land locked at end of driveway, old kitchen in room with limited to no kitchen pots/pans, a true disappointment and I am not high maintenance traveler. Beware.
the space and calm of the place
old building hotel with good view; quiet and nice place. good receptionlist
car park have a kitchen in the room
we found a hair on the pillow. I did not think the room was clean. reception is not open after 18:00 and if you are late, it is a big problem Location is very far away from the city center and if you did not have a car, it is difficult to reach the center

Security and parking
Taking bags upstairs!! we are not young.
Interesting building, lots of clever storage in a small space, avoids having to stay in Aix en Provence where it's very difficult to park as well as being expensive. Not easy to find even with the sat nav. Lots of hot water
Reception closes at 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays which we hadn't realised and we had a lot of trouble getting in through the locked gates and finding out how to get to our room. Beds were a bit too firm and there was quite a bit of noise from traffic all night
Beautifully restored historic building, confortable rooms and a large garden space with ample parking. Simple but adequate kitchen area in the studio rooms.
Breakfast room slightly cramped, and what was on offer could be a little more varied. Reception closes too early at the weekends.
Location, surroundings, comfort of rooms
Limitations of breakfast, you had to let reception know the day before. The rooms were not fully cleaned during our stay, clean towels, changed bins and replaced soaps.
The location was good and it's very pretty from the outside
The kitchen was dirty when checking into the room. The place has a very funky moldy smell. I had booked it as a suprise for my boyfriends 31st the freezer was filled with ice no room to out food or drink staff unfriendly beds old and very uncomfortable
The receptionist was very helpful upon our arrival.
The facilities were very basic. The worst thing being the time wasted finding the hotel entrance due to a lack of adequate wording on the signage otherwise it would have received a more favourable review. We also feel that it would have been more helpful we had had the option ofor a ground floor flat as the was no lift
The ability to sit outside is nice, as is the overall appearance of the building and the big gate for security.
Surrounding the hotel is an industrial area, and a wooded creek where I wouldn't want to walk alone at night, also the A8 freeway is clearly audible. No airconditioning so you have to sleep with open windows, bring some plugs. French reception, poor bedding, poor shower and slow wifi. Kitchen is suitable for preparing a can of beans. Not worth the money
Ideal stop over
wonderful garden, lovely building. You can spent a few hours at the hotel, taking pictures and relaxing. Ask for a room at the groundfloor. wonderful choice if you are visiting Aix by car. (free parking as well)
breakfast not included, can't buy coffee at the hotel.
The beautiful, old building was just gorgeous. The apartment was large and comfortable just the upstairs a little hot at night. The bus right at the door to the city centre was fantastic. And the staff were extremely helpful.
