This was our second stay at the hotel. It is pretty much a "no frills" hotel, but is clean, well located and has been quite simply "fit for purpose" in our case. From our first stay we knew not to bother taking the breakfast option as (like other hotels in this part of the world) you get a very basic and limited offering for the 7.50 euro per head price. We spent our days largely out and about and what time we did spend in the hotel gave no cause for complaint.

Our apartment was clean and well furnished with really sharp knives in the kitchen drawer and the all-important bottle opener. There was a microwave, two hot plates and a fridge - all you could want really. The staff were laid back and friendly and we were able to park our car in the underground garage. Bathroom had a shower and was big enough to move about comfortably in. Separate bedroom had a nice double bed and both rooms had televisions. Free internet! I slept really well as the hotel is quiet and well insulated. Location is superb - a couple of streets away from Place des Lices Saturday market. A great stay at a great price. If you want your room cleaned early in the day, you will probably be a bit disappointed. However, we like to have a long lie in so didn't mind the staff turning up late.

Location was very good being close to the centre for restaurants and sites. Also the hotel is within 5 minutes of the metro enabling us to leave the car in the underground car park which was very useful for a city centre hotel and having a designated reserved space meant that there were no worries with parking. The 2 room apartment was very comfortable and had good facilities to prepare light snacks and breakfast -- very good location for a city visit

This was a spotless, roomy, comfortable and inexpensive hotel within a short walk of the city centre and a doable walk from the train station. Breakfast was an extra charge but there were no convenient alternatives nearby and was in any case excellent value. Our room also had a stove, microwave and utensils (but a sign said we had to leave the kitchen clean or we would be charged 20 € - which means we had hurriedly and not well-cleaned utensils!) the other guests in the large breakfast room seemed to be mostly professionals or academics visting the University. The hotel didnt have much character- it was modern and the room, for all its comfort and size, was antisceptic. There was a modem in the room But wifi for my ipad in the downstairs lounge only. Our only problem was a return to the hotel one afternoon to find no hot water.

We had a nice, comfortable studio apartment, we enjoyed the facilities - that's what you need with a small child for a city trip! We liked the location too, the hotel is only about 8 minutes walking from the city center. The staff was a bit unfriendly.

No fuss, ease of booking on internet. Everything was as expected. Clean and tidy room. Just like having your own mini flat in Rennes. Straight forward cable Internet connection was good, some WIFI systems are unreliable. Great for light travelling but could do with a hair drier in the appartment. Could also benefit from a full lngth mirror.

Clean, Quiet, Convenient We had a very bad experience with the receptionist on arrival. He went out of his way to be unhelpful, rude and sarcastic. He represented everything the hotel was not. All other staff including the cleaners were excellent.

The room was a spacious studio apartment style room, including a kitchenette (fridge, 2 ring hob and a small selection of the necessary cooking utensils & crockery). Easy walking distance to centre, restaurants etc as well as the secure underground onsite parking (which must be booked in advance).

My daughter is residing at the Rennes University for the next 3 months and we came to help her settle in to Rennes and France. We found Rennes to be a picturesque and lively city with lovely cafe's, bars and shops. The hotel was very secure, clean and well located. We opted to pay for the breakfast each morning of our stay, however I would not do this agian as I thought this very poor value for money. There was a very limited range of food on offer at breakfast and I think that for what was on offer, no more than half the breakfast price we paid would have been more reasonable. I would recommend the hotel but not the breakfast.

It was close to the town centre and quiet at night. The staff were pleasant. The bin was only emptied once during my 5 day stay and that was when I left it right in front of the door as it was full.

Close to centre - good breakfast Not good for under three's in that ladder to mezzanine bedroom is too steep and too much of a temptation.

Location very handy to explore town on foot. Secure parking and ability to get family of 4 accommodated in one space were real bonuses .Excellent value. Room was noisy with traffic and late night revellers when windows open hot and stuffy with windows shut.
