Great location Large window & balcony Great value Good breakfast
No dining room There were cigarette butts on the balcony & it looked as if it needed a good cleaning. A sauna would have been nice but this is not expected.
Wifi connection was excellent
Room was quite dingy, could do with an update. Didn't like that we were not advised of a cost of parking until after booking had been made. No fridge in room.
We arrived on the weekend, there just one member of staff who took care of absolutely everything. And she was very efficient at it, and kind too, even when she had to do the check in, open the garage doors... Don't feel threatened by the very humble entrance. It's a good hotel, basic, clean and comfortable, in a great street, close to the station, to the cathedral, and not too far from the old city. I didn't see any restaurants around, and it was a slow sunday, so I'm not sure about that, but since the trains station is really close by, I'm sure you can find somewhere to eat nearby, if you don't want to walk all the way back from the lovely, busy and bar/restaurant-crowded old city.
While the room was spotlessly clean, the balcony had not been cleaned in a while, if ever. Even the windows were kinda stuck and seemed too feeble to open. There was a double glass window, which must be great for winter, but in the late days of summer (can't imagine IN ACTUAL MID SUMMER) and since there's no air conditioning, opening them gets kinda important. It would have been nice to step out in the balcony and get some fresh air, but the dirt and various cigarette butts were discouraging. While this hotel has its own parking, it's not right at the entrance and you had to tell the person in the reception if you are going in or out, which can be a bit of a bother if you are picky. I am not, so I was perfectly happy with the arrangement. Also, the room doesn't have a safe.
Bathroom was new and clean, onsite parking provided
Couldnt open the sliding doors to the balcony also did not have a mini bar
The staff spoke very good English and we so helpful. It was nice to eat outside as well. Rooms weren't memorable, but we do remember that they were clean with a good shower. Good bike storage
Great location on a main street in Tours, not far from Old Town and Hotel de Ville. Numerous bistros and brasseries within walking distance.
Nothing. Second time we have stayed there.
Walk to station with luggage in tow. Nice tree-lined street. Short walk to main shopping street. 20 minute walk to old quarter. All good!
No laundry facilities.
Very friendly staff, secure parking and very clean rooms. A short walk to the main restaurants. Easy access from the motorway.
Panic set in when we arrived, the view from the street is not great with a garage underneath the hotel - but don't be put off it is great inside. The shower was broken in one of the rooms but was still able to use.
Friendly reception. Secure parking. Clean and comfortable. Pleasant aspect. A short pleasant walk down the centre of the boulevard to the shops, bars and restaurants. Just a minute or two from the motorway and very easy to find.
my husband and i had two pedal cycles taken from the back of our car which had been locked. The locks had been cut.the staff were very sympathetic to our misfortune and are presently helping us through hotel insurance. This is very reassuring and takes from the pain
the theft of the pedal cycles
Friendly staff, good location, excellent value for money.
I'd prefer not to have to leave my key personally. Would be nice to have a vending machine available for soft drinks, snacks etc.
Convenient location. Cleanliness.
Convenient for old town, cathedral and river Loire On site parking for 5 euros Many restaurants in vicinity
All the staff were extra friendly, and the hotel was well looked after all round. I don't know how pleasant it would be in hot weather, since there was no aircon and the windows overlook a busy road. But with the windows shut it was really quiet and we had a great stay.
The shower seemed faulty, bit of a dribble and the holder was loose so it fell down to face the wall. Probably a one-off that will be fixed soon.
Space - by booking a triple room - specifically ask for a 'smoking' one with a balcony and you can overlook the street/parking - some may think noisy, but I love the ambiance! Furnishings have been upgraded - we know because we have been to this hotel on every visit to Tours over the past 10 years, based on great reviews.
Having to leave the key when leaving the hotel. Extra pillows in the room would be nice, as would tea/coffee facilities, but for the price you really can't complain!
very good hotel for its location, secure car parking comfort and breakfast. Certainly good value for money. access from jn.21of the A10 is very convenient, and there are some good restaurants close by . do not be put off by its outward appearance (over a garage) - - - -the reception area will soon put your mind at ease. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a city overnight stop or on a shopping spree.
I could see some people might not like being over a garage, - - - -but it really isn't a problem and anyway it's far outweighed by all the benefits.
Helpful staff. Good breakfast at reasonable cost. Room was reasonable size and other facilities were quite adequate.
No carpet on the floor gave an "uninviting" feeling.
The greeting was fantastic. Freshly baked croissants for breakfast. Impeccable bathroom. Very central location next To the train station.
The room was very warm in a summer night left the windows open but the curtains prevent the air from circulating leaving the street noise in. One of the bed lights was broken.
clean modern room and bathroom
not nice appearance from the street.
Location, staff were excellent. Secure garage facility.
Breakfast a bit limited
Good location close to highway. Nice breakfast. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The welcome and the position not far from the Cathedral. Very helpful advice on where to go to look for a suitable restaurant for dinner. We found an excellent one.
Nothing about the hotel but we arrived during the rush hour and that was a bit stressful getting there. The staff were very good at directing us where to park.
It was easy to book and reasonably easy to find. The room was clean and there was a lift (my husband is quite disabled). Nice to sit outside for breakfast. Comfortable bed.
The shower head kept falling off and as there was no curtain flooded the other bit of the bathroom. I was expecting a means of having a coffee, either in the room or to buy which was disappointing after a long journey.
Position, car parking, breakfast.
Noise at night, but probably inevitable in a city centre.
Centrally located, close to St. Gatien Church, train station, and the old city.
