Hotel Le Savoie  

the location is great - very close the train station and within walking distance to the city center. The room was clean, staff were all friendly. The price was excellent.

The room and the shower are a bit too small. The bed was too soft (poor quality).

Bathroom was newly renovated and nice.

Hotel staff, I think the male owner was rather gruff and unfriendly. He would not greet us. He d should know a few greetings in english. Maybe he was too busy and preoccupied.

our room is soooo clean everyday. you can find the hotel easily when you go out the train station.

the wifi is not very good, and also you need to ask the reception the password every day.

Breakfast was good value as we negotiated to have our 2 youngest children free.

The free wifi that was promised was non existent in the bedroom and available in the dining room but was very slow. Information about parking was poor. The room and corridors were very shabby and dated. The windows looked like they had never been cleaned and the venetian blinds covered in dust.

The room we had at the Hotel Le Savoie, was basic and old fashioned, but comfortable enough for one night. The hotel is in a good position to visit the old town of Blois.

We went to that area for a bike trip. The hotel is located very close to the train station and it was perfect for our trip to the Chambord castle and back on the bike. It served for our purpose of closeness to the station, city and convenience to reach the castle. It's good for passing through and it offers the basic. There is no a/c and it was hot on our arrival but the owner gave us a fan on demand and that saved the stay. We also had dinner at L'Orangerie.... It was excellent and we would recommend it as a very good gourmet dinner in France.

After a long flight from California and train trip from Paris, we had to go to our room on the third floor without elevator carrying our stuff. The good part was we went on a bike trip so we were travelling very light.. Something to consider

it was very welcoming and friendly and just ideal for an overnight stay but also I would stay there again and I was impressed with the level of cleanliness and service at breakfast all for a reasonable price. There is also clearly an intention to be appealing to children.

Proximity to the railway station if you are in a room facing that way and want to air your room does mean that some trains passing through may appear to heading in your direction and if you are noise sensitive this might affect your sleep.

The staff were friendly and helpfull. The location is good and the breakfast the usual. The price is reasonable value for money.

We occupied two double rooms both situated on the third floor and the hotel has no lift. Our party of four were all older than 74 years and it was quite an effort to haul our luggage up the narrow stairs. Your advertisement of the facilities of the hotel should at least have specified the fact that it is not suitable for older people as there is no lift to the double rooms on the third floor.

Staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. The hotel was cycle friendly and has a secure room to store cycles. The breakfast was buffet style - plenty of choice and plenty to eat. The bed was comfortable. The railway station is close by, and the town centre is a 10 minute walk down the hill towards the river.

No tea/coffee in room.
