Citotel le Chantry

All services were as expected

We wanted somewhere relatively cheap and cheerful with parking, and le Chantry seemd to fit the bill. We were not disappointed. For the standard price we were allocated a family room with double and single alongside so it was very large and spacious (but we glimpsed a normal double room and it seemed pretty generous as well). The room and ensuite facilities were very clean and the bed comfortable. Car parking was secure behind a large gate which was only opened by contacting reception. The aircon was a bonus as temperatures were reaching 34 Deg C as we arrived. The breakfast was OK, typically French, in that there's never a huge choice but enough to fill up before heading off to view Bordeaux centre, which was 20- 25min walk away.

Free secure parking and some under cover. V nice staff. Large room and bathroom. 10-15 mins walk to old town.

Good location. Easy to explore the town from, by foot or trams.

The position is good, 5 min walking to the city centre. The rate is good (we booked a 3 people room for 2 people since it was the onyl available and still it was a good price), the room was basic but clean, the bathroom was clean comfortable. Staff could not help us to find the bus stop for the airport (on the way back it is different than the on on the way to), however it was very close and we could find it.

Free parking with the hotel. Ten minutes walk from the old town, but the tram is around the corner from the hotel, so you can use this instead.

Quite run down, could do with a refurbishment.

It was a basic hotel used for a wekend trip. Met all our requirements. On airport bus route into town. 12minute walk to centre of town. No issues with personal safety.24 euro taxi to airport or 7 euro each on bus. Breakfast was continetal but plenty of it. 8/10 for value

Would have loved a pool due to the weather. We knew before we went there wasn't one so isn't a complaint

Good location for walking to shopping and sightseeing. Close to restuarants including Cafe Francais with outside garden. We had 2 rms, 1 single, 1 double. One of the best hotels for the price.

Spacious room for 3 people, comfy beds and nice quiet location. Shuttle bus from Airport able to drop you just down from the hotel. Easy walking distance to centre of the city/tourist information centre.
