The only good thing is the location, very close to downtown, 20 minutes walk or 5-10 minutes by tram.
We rented two apartments for 4 people each one and our stay was pretty bad. If you do not arrive at the reception hours, even if you have advised, you'll have to wait for someone in front of the door (the telephone number does not work) to get in. In the two rented apartments the heating did not work. We complained to the manager of the hotel and gave us only one tiny electric heater for the two apartments. We spent all our stay (3 days) without heating. In one of the two kitchens, the vitroceramic hobs did not work, the manager of the hotel did not help us. Luckily we had two kitchens. The hotel charged a deposit with the credit card, that you have used to book the apartments. In the information of the booking website, this information does not appear, and the hotel staff did not inform you during the check in. Four days later, after your leaving, if everything is correct they will return the money. The free Wi-Fi is too slow, and you have to register every few hours. The staff is arrogant, rude and unhelpful.
The appartment was nice, with kitchenette. Clean bed sheets and bathroom.
Stuff unavailable way before notified absence hour(21:00). No proper wifi. Wifi available only for 1 user, we were 4. Stuff unpleasant and not helpfull, did not have even a map of the city to offer. We had to through the garbage on the parking lot ourselves, otherwise extra charge!!!
Good location and parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent budget option.
Clean and comfortable bed
Everything else. Badly designed, poor in standard on all counts. Noisy residents. Dirty smelly stairwells. Price is twice as high as should be and standard half that of other apartments in same city.

Friendly staff from recepcionist to the cleaners (even cleaners could speak English) Silent area, good size of room and bed. Really good apartment.
Not wat I expected but staff are very helpful
Once inside the room was adequate for the price and meant we could walk our suitcases to the boarding dock for the cruiseship so the location was excellent which was why I chose this hotel
Reception desk was unmanned at the time and a phone number was written on the locked front door. However as we did not have a French mobile, we could not ring the number listed and had to wait until another guest came out the front door and offered to ring the listed number, then translate the message to gain access to our room key via the locked safe! It worked eventually, but I would recommend you plan to arrive before the closing off of reception at 6pm

Staff. I reached there at noon and the staff dint even let me sit at the reception area until I checked in at 3 PM.
Good location. You could walk to the centre of the city and the tram was nearby.
Difficult to locate. The hotel signage is almost non existent.
Ease of parking in a city centre.
General scruffiness of building and lacklustre facilities. Also two lights were not working; one in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom. When I went ot reception for a new light bulbs they didn't have any. Then the lift stopped working.
The location is good, only two tram stops from from the city centre.
On arrival at the apartment (1:30pm) we asked the receptionist (Mme Joutel) if we could park our car. The answer was no, not until 3pm. The car park was empty. We have stayed in this apartment before at an earlier time than 1:30pm when the staff said O.K. I found this member of staff rude and very unhelpful. On the booking form I asked for an extra pillow, no such luck. On my last visit to this apartment I left my own pillow there, and it has now disappeared. I will not be returning.
It's in a good location
Place felt too much like a student dormitory for 70 euros/night. Also, the hotel needs to figure out the corridor door system it has in place, if your room is unlucky enough to be close to one of these doors, you will definitely hear everyone that passes through at night. Poorly thought out.
Kitchen facilities and parking.
Location a bit far from center, but there is tram or city-bikes.
We had booked a taxi from hotel reception as we were supposed to board a train early morning.we confirmed with the hotel reception twice about taxi.the lady at the reception assured us that the taxi will be on time.unfortunately the taxi didnt turned up on time , came just 5 minutes before the train's departure time, that too when a french couple helped us, as the taxi people were not able to communicate in english and there was no one at the reception . We missed our train , had to spend extra euros for a new ticket as we had a connecting train from paris.This was our worst experience. One advice for hotel reception -plz crosscheck anything twice before u make any commitment to your hotel guests and if you cannot arrange for something , straightforwardly say no.

I liked the location.
I had to change rooms because the first one smelled of cigarette smoke. The telephone wasn't working in the second room I was moved to. When I informed the hotel staff of this, they didn't seem to be bothered about it and didn't offer to move me again. In addition, two lights were not working in the room I stayed in which means it was dark at night. Also the decor was very dated and the room didn't feel clean. The free wi-fi only worked for short periods. As a result, I didn't enjoy my stay but couldn't do much about it because the hotel took the payment from my bank card prior to my stay despite my being told that I would pay when I checking out. I think this is why the hotel staff were not bothered whether I had a good stay or not as they had already been paid.Overall, a very disappointing stay for me and I would not stay at the City Residence in Bordeaux again.
it was a good size, could fit four comfortably and had a good kitchen. we were only two blocks from the water but it was hard to find the first time!
the plumbing leaked all over the place! it wasnt anyones fault but the tub leaked all over the hall and kitchen. the carpet on the floor looked like it wasnt the first time it happened but the rest of the building was good. the wifi didnt work in our room but did in the lobby
