The former cloister is a beautiful building and is well situated for a short visit to the city of Avignon - all major city attractions are within easy walking distance. |

Travelling by TGV, SO easy to reach the Hôtel Cloitre. Booked for & loved the ambience! Sensitively transormed into high standard hotel maintained architectural integrity. Staff professional, courteous, offered English room information. Large room in historic part. With Booking.com we got a great deal. By European tradition there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Fridge was in a "cupboard" so it was warmer than cooler. |

Pleasant atmosphere in the courtyard, restaurant and lounge ares. Lovely style of architecture in the main areas. Friendly staff. In a very good location within easy reach of all the tourist sites, train station and bus station. Poor lighting in our third floor room (317) at the top of the building; poor wardrobe space; no coffee / tea facilities in the room for guests arriving very late due to transport delays. Hotel supplied fan-heater as the room was cold at this time of year (end of October). Not a particularly comfortable room but an interesting experience with access to the bathroom via stairs to mezzanine floor (people with walking difficulties should request alternative room). Would still recommend this hotel. |

My family liked the modern style and cleanliness of the rooms. The entrance and courtyard are also impressive. We asked for rooms in the old section and were disappointed to discover we were given rooms in the modern section, where the noise of refuse collection at around 5.00am is loud enough to wake the dead. For a family of six the breakfast was too expensive. This is a hotel for rich business men, not young children |

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was really good. We also enjoyed staying in the older part of the hotel as it was a really nice change to a normal hotel. |

Very good location, lots of private parking space, free wi-fi in the room, a beautifully renovated old building, nice rooftop terrace we stayed in the new designer part attached to the old building, we don't mind the designer's exertions, but the outcome is rather unfunctional, the WC was inexplicably small despite plenty of room in the hall, and the smell was bad, the bathroom had no walls, just a transparent partition panel separating it from the bedroom, a passable solution only if you use it as a single room, the reception staff was nice and smiling, but don't expect they would make a restaurant reservation for you or anything like that, on the last two days the hotel guests were squeezed into one breakfast room because of some company event, apparently the hotel guests were less important than the event which we found quite rude regarding the price |

Location. Ambience. Comfortable. Good breakfast. Room was in the roof area and hot but they provided air conditioning that worked. |

Very helpful staff, an excellent restaurant, quirky layout, and central location. Narrow, steep stairs into our room. |

The hotel is very pretty and in a great location. There are 2 types of rooms - rooms in the old building are cosy with original features and rooms in the new part are large and spacious but lack character and 'feel' that you are in a very old and beautiful hotel; they may not be to everyones taste. The sun terrace and the un-heated pool (whilst a bit cold!) are a fantastic find in the middle of a busy town. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and the service impeccable. Staff had excellent English and the free internet in reception was very helpful. Avignon has an excellent selection of restaurants off the beaten track and well worth exploring. There is a small bakery opposite the hotel which is fantastic - check it out :) The staff were helpful but didn't look particularly enthused about working there. Strangely and out of keeping with the hotel, the staff wore no uniform which made it hard to identify them. The larger rooms had a very strange layout with an open plan bathroom/bedroom. The room we were in was very hot indeed, particularly at night time and the air con was not working. We had breakfast on one day but it was very expensive with not a lot of choice. |

Convenient to the attractions in Avignon, rooms a good size, and modern The bathroom and toilet were to say the least tiny, the bedroom was large and confortable but for some reason the owners had made the smallest room very small!! barely big enough to use the toilet and shut the door, a large person would have serious problems, |

beautiful hotel, great location for exploring Avignon and a stones throw from the bus, central rail station and shops with a great roof top area, perfect for sun bathing after sight seeing. our toilet in the new wing smelt horrible and the pool was too cold! |

The hotel is great - old monastery , very nicely converted. There is also a cool new wing with a pool on the top. The room was very spacious. The staff were polite and spoke good english. Location is perfect for exploring the city Maybe some of the furniture could be replaced - the design of the room wasn't as nice as the design of the hotel's other parts |

location, right inside the walls of Avignon....with parking. The historic nature of the location is just awe inspiring. The rooms are quirky, we liked them but they wont suit everyone. Pool on roof is great in such an urban set up. real oasis. staff were a bit snooty. we couldnt even get a one hour extension on our checkout time. the cleaners were hovering outside the door for the last 45 minutes we had the room. |

The hotel building is amazing, set around an incredible cloister. It is also the location of the main offices of the Avignon Theater Festival and could not be more centrally located. The small rooftop pool is also delightful. The room was a good size and quite bright and the setting is really quite unique. Our room was in the less charming modern part of the hotel and had a window that looked into an alley and over a noisy generator, hence it was impossible to sleep with the windows open. The breakfast was very good, but overpriced at 16 euros a person. |

The locations was great, the restaurant was very good and the general facilities and building was good The alleged "free internet" was a joke as there was only one PC so you could never get on it |
