Poor plumbing in bathroom our room had a shower that needed a deeper tray as it overflowed
The staff were exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very welcome.
The interior design is awesome. The swimming pool is very nice and the structure is fascinating. The position is very convenient, just a few steps away from the Hotel de la Ville.
Convenient quiet location, wonderful building with courtyard etc. Good breakfast.
Bathroom facilities need maintenance: leaking tap in toilet, taking a shower causes flooding. Cups in bathroom almost disintegrate on touching them.
the historical building good restaurant convenient free parking
small swimming pool bad Wi-Fi connection
Great location and easy access to the touristic spots.
Wifi was not working in the room. The shower head got to hold in your hands all the time - can't believe it.
Great location and very comfortable room. The hotel was very easy to find by car and the parking was excellent.
Wifi didn't work and pool was very small.
Location, food was excellent, main building was beautiful. Staff were very helpful.
We were in the extended side of the hotel which was modern and had no character. If we booked again we would ask for a room in the old part of the hotel. No poolside bar which was only an issue given the pool was on the 3rd floor. Hotel bar had no atmosphere but given location this was not of great importance!
Location - we came by train, only 5 minute walk from station. Very friendly helpful staff. Complimentary water and juice in reception. Attractive (if rather small) pool at rooftop level.
Quite a contrast between the original (cloister) building and the modern extension where our room was. Dinner quite expensive.
Breakfast nice as were the staff.
Disappointed to have not had a room in the main house. We had a room in the modern extension next door, which was ugly and reminded more of a holiday inn. Given the room rate we paid was just under €300 I had expected one of the rooms showed online at the time of booking. Our room was dark and felt damp. I would not stay here again.
Really nice hotel, excellent location.
WIFI didn't work at all !! Staff not professional enough !
The room was more beautiful than I expected. Parking was convenient and the food at the hotel was great.
I had to take my luggage up and down two flights of stairs.
Location and ambience,uniqueness and carparking
We loved our room looking onto the courtyard. Staff were helpful and very welcoming and went out of their way to assist. We ate in the restaurant and loved it - we invited two guests to dinner and they really loved the food and service. The location was fantastic.
one of the rooms we booked has the aircon broken and cannot be repaired in time since it was late night.
Charming staff. Well situated just off the main street but a haven of cool and quiet.the courtyard is delightful. Close to the railway station and bus stops
The convenience to the historic parts of Avignon and the lovely setting of the hotel.
Not having enough time to enjoy Avignon and the hotel facilities in more depth.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant at dinner was excellent. Our room was in the old section and very nice with two floors and large windows looking into the courtyard.
Downstairs bath had low water pressure in the shower, but was fixed. Wifi was overcrowded and slow due to a business meeting. This made it difficult to use the internet to plan outings for the next day.
A real dissapointment! When booking the hotel the day of arrival, no notice that the swimming pool is closed! We are infotmed only at arrival. And it was our main criteria when choosing the hotel! Of course the staff offered to use the swimming pool of another hotel. But it is not a solution, especially when another hotel is located next to the train station and has nothing to do with Old Avignon charm! With such a non professional attitude, our stay wasn't pleasant. It should be clearly notified if some of the hotel's facilities are not in service.
Charming, helpful staff. Sparklingly clean. Peaceful location in a busy city, yet central. Air Con a lifesaver as we had a heat wave in June! Absolutely outstanding food. No fault to be found.
The location is excellent and the historical building provides a very nice atmosphere.
Breakfast was not impressive for Northern European standards (no dark bread, no natural yoghurt, mainly sweet alternatives, etc)
Stale dessert at Dinner
The beautiful tranquil setting and excellent location- close to the railway station and medieval centre of Avignon.
Staff were not particularly helpful or welcoming. Hotel prices for drinks, etc. were very high and our room with terrace was on the ground floor overlooking a scrubby patch of grass.
Beautiful chateau style building in lovely quiet location ideal for visits into Avignon on foot.
2 tier rooms we were given were not very practical....Eg having to go onto a lower level for bathroom and toilet.
Location, cleanliness, quality of food, ambiance, peaceful
Slowest internet during our stay in europe
