Saint-James & Albany Hotel-Spa    

The location was excellent. We loved being across the street from the Tuilleries and a short stroll from the Louvre.

I thought the room was tired and awkwardly laid out. It definately needed updated.

Some parts of the hotel need renovation.

I loved the location. Our second room was spacious. We ran into issues with both amenities and the staff the first 2 days, yet we were very pleased afterwards (3 days).

The first room was not clean with a dusty smell, and very cold. We asked at arrival (3:30pm) to fix the heat issue, at least. After ridiculous attempts from the staff to "help" (turning off the AC, bringing heaters which did not work etc.), we finally got moved to a much nicer room at 9pm. When we called room service, they first tried to deny the service by asking us to fill out the form and hang it on the door, which we could do... if we had such form !!! Whatever we were asking for (not to mention we were asking for very normal/simple services for a 4star hotel), we needed to justify ourselves and somehow negotiate everything.

Very elegant hotel with a great location. Rooms were large for a European hotel.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel in Paris is perfect!

Would have preferred a proper shower cubicle as opposed to a wet room as the ventilation in the bathroom wasn't that good.

There was no English speaking TV except for CNN.

Fabulous hotel,service very good, excellent staff, clean with fresh bedding towels every day. A friendly atmosphere and helpful courteous staff.

Our room needed a new carpet as it was stained and worn. Also needed painting and a general make over.

Location was excellent for main sites in Paris, only metres from a metro station. Hotel was clean and luxurious with a spa and swimming pool. Rooms were large and comfortable. Free wifi also available in the rooms and rest of hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice restaurant if you wanted to eat in.

Breakfast not included and charged at €22 per person. Generator outside our room made a constant loud noise although couldn't really hear it during the night. No air con in the room.

The location was excellent. The staff were very good.

The room was very small. We had stayed at the cecelia, a three star hotel near the ace de Triumphe, before this hotel and its rooms wee much more generous in size. The atmosphere at the Hotel St James and Albany is more for business people and not so much for young families.

Excellent location. 2mins walk from Tulleries Metro Station and 5mins walk from the Louvre. We get a great view of Eiffel Tower too.

Location was superb. Very convenient to Metro. Entrance very grand. There were some excellent individual staff.

Furniture and decor was bit tired in room. Lifts were small and slow.

single beds in room despite booking a double(corrected) some bar drinks very expensive (beer/spirits), but some fine (cocktails/wines) having to go via reception to spa in bath robes

The location is just perfect. The staff is very proffesional and the interior is very beautiful. We had the best holiday.

The location is absolutely fantastic!!! Just a short walk away from Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie. We also found a nice open-air playground for our young son at the nearby park Tuileries. There is a sauna and a swimming pool (complimentary). My wife also had a treatment in spa (around 200eur) and she enjoyed very much. Buffet breakfast was good (around 22 euros P.p and they didn't charge for our son (4y) . In the evenings there is a pub with live music and a restaurant.

Rooms need some renovation and not all personnel speak good english, however it was not a problem at all. Could be pretty expensive if you book it without offers.

The location was perfect, more than what we have imagined before our trip.

The breakfast was extremely expensive. We have to choose outside placing, which was fine 2 Eur for breakfast (coffee+ croissant) comparing to the 22 Eur :)

the hammam, pool and location were great.

It was overpriced. The room was dirty. My mum's room had a really cracked sink that looked worse than anything i've ever seen in any backpackers, so not exactly what i was expecting for four stars. The room was so overheated that within the first half hour of being in the room (it was winter so we opened the miniscule windows to try and air it out) the chocolates we had just bought melted. The staff were ok but in the context of everything else i was shocked. the common areas are really pretty but totally misleading the rooms were UGLY!!!

The location is excellent , about 5 mins walk to Lourve museum. Service is very good, I called the reception for a kettle, they cleaned one and sent to me. The pool and steam room are beautiful, but smaller than the picture look like.

The room is a little bit worn.
