The location is great.

The first room # 153 was a disaster, The depression in the floor at the bathroom entrance caused me to fall and injure my knee. The floor rug was noisy and dirty. The secong room # 235 was much nicer bur dirtier. The rug had numerous stains and truly dirty-looking. My knee is still swollen and hurts. The absence of handrails at the stairways is an invitaion to falls and injury for the elderly. i'm 89 years old and needed assisstance at all the stairs. .

The location is fabulous - beside the Louvre and the Tuilieres Gardens, the Orangerie and Museé d'Orsay. The swimming pool is amazing - an oasis of calm in the middle of the busy city. And the Tuileries metro station is directly across the street. What's not to like!!!

Location was great. Concierges were very helpful and set up 2 lovely dinners for 14 people for us. They were great!

I look for a hotel with a pool specifically that allows children. This one claimed to allow children, but they were not make "welcome" at all! The first day we tried to use the pool, we were told it was too full. The second day we were allowed to use the pool but then got constant complaints that they were too loud. They were litterally whispering and then got talked to about swimming too loud. An older couple entered the pool and were talking loudly, but of course were not talked to. My children noticed and felt it unfair, I agree. Also, my husband and brother and law were talking in the courtyard in the evening and were yelled at as well for being too loud. It was just the two of them and they were not being that loud. We're a pretty quite crew generally and have never been talked to anywhere we've ever stayed. I wouldn't choose the Saint James again for this reason.

Hotel staffs are very friendly, they give a lot of help and are very kind to answer any questions. Location is excellent.

very bad facilities, old room decoration and furniture. there is even a hole on the wall. Washrooms are very old, they seem like be built 20-30 years ago. NOT WORTH THIS PRICE.

Good location, quality of hotel in general. Room size good. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Only stayed one night but would certainly use this hotel again.

this hotel needs immediately yo be refurbished; the entrance hall is not atttractif, the way to the room long and leading tyhrough restaurant, the elevator very unstable, the room dark and needcing refurbishment; the shower wityhout water pressure, then cold then hot, the bath damaged, the ceiling abnormally low so that it gives a claustrofobic impression; I had booked this hotel for me and my children, which was, based on booking.com, a 5 star hotel with nice facilities, and I was ready to pay for that; the reality was a big disaapointment. the fact that there was not a questionnaire to assess, explains a lot...

The decor of room was worn dated and stained, bathroom was also (although clean) in need of a refurb.

Wireless did not work properly for 2 days

The ceiling was coming in on the room and also there was a strange chemical smell throughout the hotel. There were other hotels nearby which were a lower star but looked cleaner and tidier. I would not rate this hotel as a 4*

Location is very good for access of Subway, Shopping and Art Museum.

The facility is not New and it is Old. There is some noise from Floor in the night when we walk and someone use Bath Room. In addition, during daytime, they did do some modifcation using Drilling, Hummer and some tools. It may not relux in the daytime, too.
