Classics Hotel Bastille  

Rennovated rooms,near to metro station, clean rooms, nice quartier

Every single member of staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They had good knowledge of the area and spoke excellent English. The hotel was very clean and there was plenty of space in the room for clothes etc. the bed was really comfortable and we didn't hear any noise at all from the hotel or road outside. It is in a safe, lively, inexpensive area - the restaurant next door was doing steak and chips for 8 euros and there was a fantastic boulangerie just up the road, as well as plenty of bars and cafes. The hotel is right next to the Rue de Charonne metro so it was easy to get about and walking distance to Bastille area where there are great alternative shops and bars. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the room recently refurbished was good -and quiet opening out onto an internal patio. No drinking water was provided and the plastic beakers soon broke!! The breakfast was adequate if not the qualiry you might find in say a comparable Italian hotel. (It's coffee was good but there was a tendancy to run out of bread!) We were able to leave our luggage on the last day for 6 hours in their office free of charge. The hotel was a true 200m from a metro station and there were plenty of places nearby to buy food or drink. There were also plenty of restaurants in the area. The area in which the hotel was situated ( Arrondissement 11) was quiet and felt safe even at night.

The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. For an adequate price you'll get a quite rich breakfast and a comfortable room with furniture which is much newer than in most Paris hotels from the same price category. The location is very convenient with at least 3 metro stations within walking distance (one of them right in front of the hotel).

There was no fridge in the room.

Our room was on the side of the inner court, so it was really silent at night. The staff is very kind at breakfast in the morning was ok.

We taught the hotel had a better location; for sure, it is 3 minutes walking from the Charonne metro station, but the problem is that this last one is not very well connected to major spots! Moreover, there is just one bus going directly to the centre, and no direct bus for the Gare de Lyon (train station). The room was quite small, with almost no place for two trolleys.

Friendly, clean and good value. Staff very obliging, especially as we arrived at 6am due to easyjet flight problems.Staff were very welcoming, providing us with an early breakfast.

Location, friendly staff

The double bed was really small and a crappy bed in general, I slept terrible the first night. The second night we asked for an extra bed, and this 'el cheapo' fold-up bed slept a lot better. The rooms were also very small.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We needed two rooms to accommodate ourselves and our two teenaged daughters. Both rooms were very clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Our room had a little balcony overlooking the street which was a lovely place to sit in the evening before turning in. We walked to Bastille Square and Notre Dame easily. The neighborhood location provided plenty of opportunities for finding something inexpensive to eat. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good value.

Good location in a an area mixing work and leisure and where many Parisians live. Close to some places of major interest including Opera. Close to metro.

It can be noisy at night because the hotel is in a busy area, and we had to have the windows open. Next time we will choose a room on the garden side.

Hotel was very clean and convenoent to the Metro. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. Buffet breakfast was ample.

The room was very small - hardly room to store our 2 travel suitcases. No air conditioning (on the top floor) meant that room was quite warm - in May.
