Staff were happy to speak in English to assist you and were always friendly. The rooms were very clean and fairly modern. There were plenty of cafes, supermarkets, bars nearby. It is very close to a Metro station and was easy to see the main sights from there.
Bastille isn't the cleanest area of Paris, we spent most of our time in the areas around the Opera, Louvre, Saint Germain etc. However the hotel was not too far away from these areas via Metro, so this was convenient.
The proximity of the hotel to close attractions via the Metro 9
The surroundings host many good cafees and small restaurants. The Metro station Charonne is only 200 meters away. The staff was very friendly. Will stay here again. We had a 3 bed room, with 2 seperate bathrooms (nice!), but bed number 3 is not a proper bed. However you can use it.
We did´nt buy breakfast to 12€ as you can have breakfast at the local café from 6-12€ - which we find i much more interesting, when you are on holiday. We had temperatures up to 34 degrees Celsius, so we missed aircondition a lot.
The Family Suite was made of two rooms that can be linked into a suite of two rooms.
The receptionist very pleasant, informative and spoke perfect English
The room a bit disappointing, after the description said superior, with balcony overlooking patio garden.
clean room. good location. staff was ok. we had a bit of a trouble so they gave us a bigger room with an extra bed, i think that was excellent service!
there was no help, if you want something from reception you have to go down get it yourself.
Location, and the hotel and experience there was quite good. It's not luxurious but certainly good for the price. The location is excellent, a couple minutes walk to métro Charonne and lots of cafés and other amenities (grocery store, cash machine, pharmacy, etc.) right inthe neighborhood. I was quite pleased!
I didn't particularly 'dislike' anything, however, the rooms are quite small so one has to be prepared for that. The room was quite warm sometimes at night. And the room was close to the elevator so it was at times slightly noisy, but certainly manageable.
The location is good and the rooms are renovated.
I liked the relaxed atmosphere there and especially the staff which was really lovely. The breakfast was good, we had several types of bread and pastries, yogurt, many types of cheese, jam, ham, cereals, among two types of fruit juice, coffee and tee.
I can not find anything, maybe if I must say something the lobby was dark and uninteresting but it did not have much effect on me, but the staff needs to spend a lot of time there.
Great staff and location.
Really great staff and location.
It is located in a vibrant part of the city, and near to where I needed to be, very close to metro station. Small and compact, clean, fairly spacious bathroom, and good wardrobe space, comfortable bed, and a fan which was more then enough as the weather was cool in the nights. One of the reception staff ( a gentleman) was very friendly and helpful, but some others (the women) were somewhat snooty.
In my booking confirmation, it was indicated that I would get a room overlooking the court yard, as I had asked for a quiet room, however, I was given a room overlooking the street, which is a narrow and busy one and the noise can be heard inside the fourth floor room. Glad that the glass windows overlooking the street were somewhat sound proof and so I managed to get good nights sleep without too much noise disturbance, with the windows closed. I can imagine that in the summers, it will be rather unbearable to be in the room with the windows close and no air conditioning, particularly as the sun comes in as well.
The staff were very helpful
