The location was brilliant, right in the middle of Bordeaux. The included breakfast was excellent. Te staff were friendly and helpful, assisting in printing a voucher for me. Nothing really. The bedroom was a bit on the small side but it was perfectly adequate and we did not visit Bordeaux to sit in our bedroom!

The hotel was very well positioned close to tourist sites, shopping, bars and cares. Good selection at breakfast. The bathroom was a bit of a squeeze.

Location was good. Staff spoke English well and were very helpful. On our first night there I awoke after 2 hours sleep to find lots of insects crawling all over the headboard of the bed in room 310. The girl at reception was very good and offered to move us to another room - however, the first room she moved us to was a double room 110 and we required 2 single beds. We then had a choice of staying there or going to a twin room without a light in the bathroom. We chose the twin room 106 and inspected it closely for bugs. It seemed ok but the carpet was filthy. The beds were very comfortable but in none of the rooms were there mugs or coffee. The next day they moved us to room 206 which was ok. None of the rooms were fully satisfactory. Very small. The hairdryer was overhead the toilet and could not reach so you could see in the mirror. We did not receive the welcome drink or see a packed lunch and breakfast was poor. The air conditioning did not work either. Everything seemed very shabby although the beds were comfortable with clean sheets. When we were checking out they offered us a discount of only 15% for our inconvenience. When I objected to this they increased the discount to 50%. I accepted this but was not happy. The location was excellent but I would not stay there again.

As usefully central as you could wish for. Very nice staff. Right next to Bordeaux's "Golden Triangle" of luxury shops and at the crossroads of the town. Room was small but clean and functional. We booked a double and got twin beds. Others have commented on this so apparently not unusual. They have packed far too many rooms in when the hotel was last renovated. Poor soundproofing, awful breakfast room. Poor breakfast. The 'coffee' was really undrinkable. Note that in Bordeaux there are a lot of cafes offering an excellent breakfast at a good price. The welcome drink is a cup from a bottle of orangina etc. which you have to find yourself. No sign of the promised packed lunches. The shower was so small that it was almost unusable due to the protruding mixer tap. The tea and coffee facilities in the room involved flimsy plastic cups and sachets of decaf coffee only.

The bed was comfortable and the room was reasonably clean. The staff were friendly and reasonably helpful. It's location is one of it's best points but also what let it down. It was very difficult to get any sleep due to all the noise, especially since the window did not close properly. The bathroom was tiny, especially the shower recess and where the toilet was placed. If I was any bigger I would not have been able to use the shower or toilet. One of the lights in the bathroom didn't work as well as hair dryer. No bar fridge. I did ask how much notice they required if we were to leave early and wsa told anytime, but a day would be preferable. Upon giving them notice that we would be leaving I was asked why and explained. I was then asked if I would like another room.

Nothing. First we were put in the fourth floor which is actually an attic and we were bumping our heads against the cieling. Although there were no windows only air vents. Then luckily we went down to the third floor. Again the room was too small and a double bed was placed against a wall so everytime I had to use the bathroom I had to slide down from the foot of the bed to the floor very uncomfortable for mature people. Lobby small anyway only the location was ok

We are just back from a 3-night stay in Coeur de City Hotel Clemenceaau. The hotel is in a fantastic location Line 1 from the airport leaves you in Gambetta Place and the hotel is only a few steps away.; Although the entrance is not well signposted ( a very small door which we passed by without noticing). The staff are great and all have excellent English and are very helpful. They allowed me use the computer and their own printer for Boarding Pass without any charge. Free internet in lobby. Lunch is provided but must ask for it at reception. It is not provided automatically. Breakfast is adequate. Juices, cereals, rolls and buns, yogurts, tea and coffee, no cheeses or meats. You can leave your valuables at reception as no safe in room. Beds made up every day. Room 106 was absolutely tiny. Two single beds and little for no space at the end of the bed to move around. Lucky I am a small peprson as otherwise I would have had to jump over a bed to get to the other one. Shower room was also small but adequate. Plenty fresh towels etc and there was a hairdryer. There was no complimentary tray as advertised. Other rooms may have had one. The carpet was absolutely filthy, disgustingly so. Don't know how hotel can get away with this. The lift is tiny. Three is a crowd without luggage but in fairness it worked well with no delays. The pictures on the websites are extremely deceptive. This should be receified as I got a shock when I saw room 106. Room looked out on Rue d'Indepencence and got very noisy in the mornings. Not sure if I'd go back and in fairness I couldn't recommend except for the location and the fabulous staff. They were exceptional really. Also found the hotel expensive but you pay for the location.

Location The first room we were allocated smelt very strongly of mould and the window would not open, the bathroom was also not very clean, the shower curtain was filthy. We were transfered to a 'newly decorated' room that was better. The lift was also very small and only one person can go in it at a time with their suitcase.

Compact and efficient, with a good breakfast. But the city is noisy at night, so bring your earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Again, the city is noisy (Damn skateboarders!)

As I travelled to Bordeaux on my motor bikethe staff kindly let me park my bike right outside the hotel on the pavement. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, also the linin was very clean. The room was on the main road side but got a good night sleep due to the double glazing. I was recommended a restaurant before I travelled and the young girl on reception couldnt of helped me any more to assit me in finding it on the map. All the staff spoke english. A very minor thing but the shower curtain looks tired and needs changing, but this is a very minor thing
