We appreciated the location (10-15 minutes walking to Place de la Bourse). Nice building. Super nice personnel. Room was clean, great bed! Parking provided in a nearby public, guarded parking.
The rooms and facilities are really small. They are ok for a short 1-2 nights' stay, but it would be difficult to manage for a whole week, for example.
Positioned right in the city center of Bordeaux you will find a nice small hotel. The rooms are simple and comfortable. You should only go with 2 on the elevator as it is really narrow.
Centre of the town. Lift access to room.
Parking half a mile away carrying luggage. Placed in attic with sloping ceilings, not right for pensioners. Bumped head. Rooms changed for second night.
Location excellent, near cafes and tram, not far from shopping streets. Nice clean room with tea and coffee tray. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Bathroom very small.
Bathroom facilities were good- but never seen small round stones making up the floor of shower! Room was basic/ clean but comfortable and double bed was very good. Location was excellent with lots to see and do within easy walking distance and no1 bus (bendy bus) from and to airport is excellent as arrives and leaves from place gambetta which is a minute's walk from hotel. 3 euros return is amazing value for a 45 min journey to and back from airport! It was the cheapest thing in Bordeaux by far! Breakfast was also good but 7-9:30 was a bit restrictive as most seemed to be on holiday when I was there. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times!
Expect to be woken early by street cafe owners/ cleaners etc if you are a light sleeper but it is a centre hotel on a main square! If you are a light sleeper then you will not be able to keep window open all night and would hate to be there in height of summer heat :-( The air con I thought sometimes used to blow out smelly air but was sporadic and my room was just above a restaurant so that probably contributed! The lift is the smallest I have ever seen but can use stairs- 4 people max but 2 with bags at a push!
Staff were excellent and location outstanding so pleased
centrally situated, nice friendly helpful staff, great spot to visit the city
The location is OK. Staff is helpful.
NOISE ! The restaurant was exactly downstair, I could not sleep until 2 AM even if the window was well closed. Then the noise re-started at 6AM for Street cleaning. Not the place if you are looking for a quite room. I guess that the restaurant was serving fried foods: the smell in the room was really bad !
prime location at the north end of Cours de l'Intendance putting you in walking distance of tram stops and numerous sights and restaurants. Reasonable rates considering location and rooms comfortable and clean enough although small. not ideal if you are spending a lot of time in the hotel but perfect if you just need a central place to sleep.
tiny shower, no top sheet on bed only comforter, small elevator, couldn't adjust A/C only on or off, don't go to front desk for recommendations, don't get hotel breakfast.. better off getting fresh croissant and coffee at local bakery stands or cafe.
Location is convenient.
Stains on sheets when we checked in. Cleaning staff already gone so we were given clean sheets but had to change them ourselves. Bad smell in elevator and in room. Air conditioner couldnt be set cooler than 23c. Room and bathroom small. No safe for passports. Breakfast not worth the cost -- better eat out.
Very nice small hotel in absolutely central place.
This hotel was very conveniently located in Bordeaux close to restaurants-tours-shops.
I discovered why I was breaking out all over my face and hands was due to bed bugs that was confirmed by seeing them in our bed. We stayed 3 nights and I was hoping to at least get 1 night compensation but the staff did not budge. They seemed to be angry due to the fact they would have to close the room down for extermination during a very busy time in Bordeaux. We found another hotel close by and very clean and staff very courteous. The hotel did pay for my medicine.
The hotel is super well located, close to all shops, restaurants and nightlife. It would be a plus if the hotel had anti-noise windows. The shower is fiar. But in general, it was a good experience.
good central location.
room 107 was very small. bitten by bugs. flannel went missing from bathroom. very poor supply of milk and coffee.
Location was fabulous, comfortable beds
Tv didn't work
The hotel was as the name suggests at the heart of the city. It was clean and comfortable. The air conitioning was invaluable.
The shower was very small - a fact that was compounded by the very large mixer tap that stuck out in the middle. When you turned it on, it stuck out so far, there was not enough room to shower.
The smell in the lifts was terrible
The location, the price & free wifi
Smell of food when waiting for the elevator, paper-thin walls...
This hotel was in a perfect location for getting around the city. Staff helpful.
The room was quite small. The shower was TINY!!!
great location on the main pedestrian street
overlooked an outdoor restaurant so the noise could last well into the evening; occasional loud people outside
Friendly staff Fast, free wifi
Strange (read: bad) smell in the hallways.
Too small family room with sloping roof. The smallest bathroom I have ever used. Very basic breakfast - we've had much better in a budget hotel.
everything is small and in plastic like F1 hotel
No comfort, everything very small and basic , a shower makes the whole bathroom wet.
Every single thing but location.
