The Hôtel Campo Dell'oro is in the heart of Ajaccio’s gulf, less than half a mile from Ricanto Beach. It is in a large park of palm trees and features an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.
Score from 538 reviews Good
Just 100 yards from Agosta Beach, this hotel features a spa with hammam and hot tub, a terrace and grounds with a heated, outdoor pool with a poolside bar. It has air-conditioned rooms and car rental....
Score from 486 reviews Very good
This seafront hotel is at the entrance of central Ajaccio, 270 yards from Corse Azur Beach and 5 minutes from the international airport. It offers elegant rooms and panoramic views of Ajaccio Bay.
Score from 741 reviews Very good
The Hotel Stella di Mare is located on the golf of Ajaccio in Corsica. It offers direct access to the beach and has a sea water swimming pool and an outdoor bar.
Score from 483 reviews Good
Very Close to Airport Convenient exit to the sea Good dinner Nice area
Old and nasty blanket, no blanket cover only sheet poor, simple breakfast Not enought parking place Poor English knowledge of personal
Impossible to sleep. Even upon request no room was available which provided some protection against the music coming from "various" night clubs. Consider to amend hotel description in that respect
Good location close to airport
Dirty smelly rooms with uncomfortable beds and expensive for the quality
The hotel is right on the beach. Its garden is very well maintained and rooms are clean. The staff is very helpful. There are many events in the evening. Prices in the bar are ok.
Generally, the hotel needs a serious refurbishment because you feel like you have traveled back in the 80s. There is no air conditioning in the room and no hairdryer. Although the towels are clean, they smell like hospital. No wi-fi in the rooms, only at the reception and at the bar.
Location near the sea
Small and damp rooms, poor beds
-Excellent location near the beach- Friendly staff if you speak some French . Transport from the AirPort worked well. Clean room. Rooms in the reception building with garden view to recommend (more quiet). Breakfast buffet was very good.
Very thin walls between the rooms. Lot of children . Bring earplugs .
Convenient to the airport had an early morning flight. Plenty of restaurants close by so don't have to have buffet Staff on check in friendly and helpful.
Had a triple room booked only two beds made up. Only buffet available for evening meal.
Great food, everyday something different. The hotel had a big area eg. pool, bar, stage. There was something every night such as dances, games etc. Right by the beach which was great.
It's a big hotel and pretty crowded. Beach was not so good too
We had a renovated room with soundproof windows and an aircon. Room was cleaned daily, change of towells, each 3 days a change of linen. The room was fresh and quiet, inspite of 2 weekly disco nights across the road. We could sleep with no problem. Food was great! Good variety and excellent French quality. Chef did an excellent job. Included wine was extra bonus. The pool was a big plus, especially on days when wind was too strong to stay at the beach. The complex is very green and is well kept. Staff are friendly and mean well. Excellent concert of a local band one evening. I'd certainly recommend this place but but only as a 3,5* facility.
At times it felt as if we were in a kids summer camp, as there were multiple groups of children with their own agenda and program, which interfered with people who were there just to rest and do their thing. Staff were young and energetic and tried hard. However, the evening entertainment felt it could be a little better/diverse. Do something about Internet!!! It is pathetic that one has to sit in a public area to get a signal. I am often working when on holidays, and it is important for me to have Internet available. At one point I couldn't even login into WiFi as it had max number of users logged in. Not acceptable.
Poor cleaning. Insects inside. Wifi not working. Payments only possible with cash. The place sucks.
It was a busy hotel but it was away from the 'maddening crowd' of Ajaccio.
We arrived late at night by ferry from Nice and we followed the road that the hotel is on. However it said that the hotel was about 6km from Ajaccio. We went as far as 10km and could not find it. We went back into the city to try and find a 'local' that could advise us as to where the hotel was. The man told us we had been on the right road but did not know the hotel. We went back again and after 15km found a restaurant that was still open (near midnight) and he knew the hotel and it was still a further kilometre to go. Eventually we found it, which was difficult in the blackness of the night, with virtually no decent signage to let you know that the hotel was there. The following day, we did an accurate distance check back into Ajaccio and it was 16km. This should be noted on the Booking.com website.
Enjoyed all aspects of our stay
beachsite, proximity of restaurants, nature
size and comfort of the room,
the location was good its close to the beach anf the swimming pool the room was not that bad
there are a club and bar next to the hotel that make a lot of noise so if are not big fun of dancing and you want to sleep early it very difficlult to do that there are no air condition and you cant open the windows becausse of the noise there is no fridge in the hotel so you cant bring your drink or somthing to eat
Location is excelent, the place nice, restaurant very good., with a varied menu, expecially the dinner. Very close to the beasch, easy to get to Ajaccio.
Many night clubs arround, noisy in the night, although not all the time. We need to stay with the doors shut but still we heard the music.
Excellent facilities for children
Rooms were very hot without air-conditioning in summer
Location is great. The hotel has their own sunbeds and parasols. Dinner was delicious, free red or rose wine. Bus stop, shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and small port are at the walking distance.
There were no air conditioning, no fridge, no tea/coffee facilities in the room. There were not enough sunbeds and parasols at the beach. The staff was young, unkind and unskilled, almost nobody spoke English. Excursions were in French, it was difficult to understand what time we had to return back to our bus or ferry from city tour. There were no deffinite time of room cleaning, it was difficult to plan the day, especially to relax in the afternoon, we were several times woken up by the room maid for cleaning. There were no change of bed sheets during 9 nights of our staying.
-Good location -Nice buffé both for breakfast and in the evening -Nice pool and close to the beach
-No air-condition... got very humid in the room - A lot of Antz in the room... had to change and then it got better. - Lot of family´s ... if you want a calm and quiet hotel with peace by the pool... choose another one
Loved the beach/pool. Water was so warm you walk in no problem but it was still refreshing. Great service with air port transfers. Cleaners clean very thoroughly each day. They seemed to have loads of family friendly activities. Also had a tour booth and a masseuse
Sadly you cant eat at all in the rooms because the second you do ants arrive and never leave. It's quite noisy at night until midnight and my room didn't have air con so the combination made it tricky to sleep but it wouldn't stop me from going back.
Good breakfast, great location next to the beach and there were lawnchairs and umbrellas provided for the clients of the hotel on the beach, which is a big Plus! Within walking distance to good restaurants. Good ambiance as there were plenty of activities and animations every day.
2 nightclubs surround the hotel complex, which, depending on which room you get, can make it very difficult to impossible to sleep at night. The music lasts until 6am. The first night we stayed in a room in which we could hear the vibrations of the bass from the nightclub across the street. Until 6 in the morning. We were lucky enough to relocate to a different area, and it was quieter, although..... ...there is also a bar in the hotel complex which plays music until midnight every night! So it was still difficult to sleep early. The rooms are a little stuffy and the curtains smell like must. No fridge in the room.
Located at the beach. Free sunbeds at the beach and by the pool. Both hotel and gardens look very nice. OK breakfeast.
No air-con, wi-fi or fridge at the rooms. Staff speaks poor or no english. No typical lunchbar at the hotel. Rooms look very old, the balconys had no privacy, and its possible for the neighbours to view directly into your room from their balcony.
Swimming pool, beach access, breakfest terrace
ants in the room, loud music every night (till 5:30)
