The service was wonderful, this place was in the beast location we could ask. The room was very clean and tide and the breakfest real nice! It was nice to stay there.
There is no elevator.. Check in only until 7pm..
Hotel is in old city close to many of the interesting sites. Staff friendly and very helpful.
This wonderful little hotel is located just close enough to great restaurants that we didn't walk far to get a great meal, but far enough away from the touristy part of Tours that we got a great night's sleep and felt more connected to the real city. Family owned, the folks were warm friendly and helpful. we couldn't ask for more.
Great location, quiet, smart new renovation makes room very comfortable. Owner is a helpful delight. I would stay again
An English tv station would be nice, but trivial!
Hotel Colbert is in a perfect position - close to the river and close to Rue Colbert which is crammed with pubs and restaurants, though still manages to provide quiet rooms without overhearing the street. The staff were welcoming and friendly, let us lock up our bikes in the garden, and were v helpful with finding our way to local attractions etc.
Great location, friendly and helpful proprietor. Good breakfast.
- Wonderful staff! This is a family-run hotel and it shows! - Fantastic location, in a pedestrian street in a bohemian part of town - Great balconies facing the street - Very close to free parking spots - Simply an *AMAZING* little place to stay. A charm!
Not a thing!
An excellent hotel right in the centre of Bayeux with very welcoming staff. Very relaxing and the Hotel had great character but benefited with the addition of modern bathroom facilities. Within easy walking distance of the Tapestry Museum, Cathedral and bars and restaurants. No parking available at the hotel but easy parking in adjacent car park and local streets for a small charge. Continental breakfast was good
Excellent staff who were really great helping guide me to interesting things to do, holding mail that had arrived for me, looking after my bags etc Centrally located, Hotel Colbert is close enough to sight seeing attractions and the mainstream haunts of Tours but also to pokey little alleys with hidden nuggets ready to be explored. Newly renovated, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower deserves special mention; It was waterfall of magic thanks to the shower head that envelopes the whole recess sending waves of hot water over your entire being. It was that good.
This was our second stay at this excellent small hotel. The proprietor was as charming and helpful as before. There are some fine restaurants in the vicinity, and there is always a buzz in the old part of town.
Very friendly and helpful welcome with excellent recommendations for restaurant and reservations for tables. Location really good for old town. Hotel full of charm.
Room was a little bit dark making reading difficult.
This is a great little hotel in the heart of Tours. It's an easy less than 10 minute walk from the train station and tourist office. Since I came in by train, I'm not sure about the parking or convenience of driving to the hotel as it is on a small one way, pedestrian type street. The hotel itself is well maintain by what appears to be a husband and wife team...and their cute little black and white mascot. Truly the only 1 change I would make would be like one other reviewer mentioned and that is to have a shelf for shampoo/soap in the shower. By no means a deal breaker for me but I'm not a fan of leaving the soap and shampoo on the floor of the shower. I had a room at the back of the hotel so it was very quiet. Perhaps this was in part due to the weather (very wet) during my visit. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
