The superior room was excellent. The location is very good as well. The breakfast was a little overpriced for the quality. No parking.

The hotel was warm and friendly. Very comfortable. Very well designed. We had a balcony which overlooked the main street. We had a very pleasant stay, and was reluctant to leave. There were difficulty most days with parking, but with a lot of patience, we were duly rewarded.

The location was perfect- right in the heart of Little Venice. The rooms were simply but stylishly decorated and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. The building itself had buckets of character and was a pleasure to stay in. We would definitely stay there again. We stayed in the room on the top floor of the Suites, and although the space was used very cleverly, we felt the mezzanine bathroom needed a door or partition glass wall. This room would not be suitable for a couple's first romantic weekend away.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. The 2-car garage for which I paid was a disaster. Another vehicle pulled in a blocked the exit of my car. At 11PM at night, the other driver and I re-arranged cars and I placed my car in front of the hotel on the street with permission of hotel staff. Regardless, I was required to pay the garage fee.

We often stay at Le Colombier en route to our house iin Italy. It is about hallf way. We like its boutique quality and individual styyle. Rooms are excelllent at the price point. Convenient for centre of Colmar and restaurants. An ideal solution. Car parking and security for cars is an issue as we are always carrying things for our house but location makes this difficult to fix. We have never had a problem but it remains a worry.

The location was in Petite Venise area just a 5 minute walk to the old city. We tried to make a reservation for our car, but could not. Each day we ventured to other villages (which is easy to do from here) we returned to a tiresome wait for a parking space. Spaces nearest the hotel are free and fill up the second one is vacated, across the street one must pay, but the maximum time for each payment is a few hours, which makes parking on that side, for any length of time, unreasonable. If we were not intending to leave Colmar the hotel would have been better. Oh, and despite the in-room thermostat we were either HOT or we had to open a window and get cold, then close the window and get HOT, repeated throughout the night.

Was upgraded to a suite on arrival for no charge, the staff are that sort of people. It was magnificent. Brand new and so modern and stylish. The location just meters from the romantic Venice canals is superb. The staff were fabulous, can't recommend highly enough, I think it should be a 4 star rating. Some simple instructions for the great modern appliances, air conditioner, automatic heated towel rails and heater would be great.

This is not a hotel if you have problems to walk! forget about it. Although we sent a mail and asked if they had handicaped room and they answered that they had -they can´t know what a handicap in walking. is. The hotel had three steps and enterering the room you had to pass a street with lots of stones. The room had a handicap sign but that was the only thing. No handle to the toilet no handle to the shower and even not a chair. The breakfust was served so you had to pass the street with lots of stones and pass three stairs (no elevator) You can´t see the presentation of the breakfust so you must have help to get it. Lots of stairs. No effort was so ever to understand the difficulty.

The hotel was real value for money; the rooms were good and the location within the village of Colmar was good. We were on our way to Italy and the village was really nice, so we can recommend to make a stop-over there. The parking place was a bit old-fashioned (although that had its charm) and a bit expensive.

This chic hotel is in a superb location in Petite Venise. We lucked out and got a parking spot on the free side of Rue Turenne, where we could leave our car for two full days, as Colmar is entirely walkable (and gorgeous). Hotel staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Room 32 was roomy, and the bath was well equipped. This was the best hotel of our ten days in France. We did not try the breakfast, but got pastries across the street. Great hotel!

The design is excellent, cozy room, high technogy equipment, friendly staff, clean and tidy certainly. The hotel is modified from Strasbourg traditional building so it is very beautiful, but maybe due to this reason it doesn't have lift. It is a disaster for us two little gals to bring 2 big suitcases up to 2nd floor using stairs

1) hotel staff was very helpful and so nice they help me twice 1st to reach the Hotel & 2nd to cancel the second night booking free of charges, I really appreciated. 2) room design was nice and clean. 3)location was perfect and on the center of little Venice "the old town" and close to the French restaurant and the open market. 4) smooth check in & out. 1) Car navigation system could not identify the location of the hotel so i have to call the receptionist who help me to reach the Hotel. 2) the room was smelly of smoke. 3) breakfast was good but they can make it better.

The hotel is in the old part of town, and the historic centre is within a short walk. Although the building is old it has been sympathetically modernised. The shower was excellent. On arrival the receptionist instantly spotted that two of our group had walking difficulties, and she reallocated more suitable rooms with step-free access. Other staff were also helpful. Difficult to get correct room temperature without opening windows that faced onto road. Not a problem for us, but might be relevant for others.

Great Customer service and a really fabulous location, we were very lucky to enjoy views of the courtyard and didn't have any issues with noise as mentioned by other guests on this site, the hotel definitely exceeds it's three star rating and would recommend to all, there is a restaurant nearby next door to a group of pubs, adjacent to a pub called the incorruptibles, also a must if you enjoy local cuisine and top service.

We stayed in the #41 Suite Moore (I believe we were upgraded which was a nice surprise) for our 5 year wedding anniversary. Colmar is a lovely location this time of year and the Christmas Markets are just beautiful. As with everything now, the room per night rate is too expensive. We booked knowing that Colmar is high priced at this time of year but it still is quite expensive.
