Friendly reception, good weekend rates, easy location to find, convenient parking, clean business class rooms. Good stop off point en route to the south. Everything in the hotel worked. Good breakfast during the weekend.
We probably would have preferred a classic hotel in the centre of Bordeaux but I accidentally made a non-refundable booking to secure a room. However, we would use this hotel again as we just drove to the centre of Bordeaux and found a parking. The location is in a commercial area on the banks of the Garonne, near car show rooms.
paid online but the reception didnt get it and made me pay once again withou ft even asking. Then when they got it they reemboursed me but since im not american my bank took fees from that error... And the "funny" thing is that the second note was like 20$ cheaper than what i paid online!!
Staff was great and very helpful
For leisure visit not that we'll suited
Straight forward quiet hotel at a good location.
Secure parking not secure, a la carte food bad (hotel photographs of food nothing like reality), rooms incredibly small, high price compared to better hotels. Location not close enough to town centre.
The rooms are nice and clean with all the basics right
Slightly off the beaten track
excellent buffet a surprise, arriving just in time for a late lunch. The presentation of the dining room was very good. Immaculately clean room and bathroom. At first glance the Wilson might seem a bit unlikely, but it is actually a gem. The dining room guests made it obvious that the Wilson is well patronised by the travelling business community, always a good indication. We would both unhesitatingly recommend the Wilson in Bordeaux.
Friendly staff Clean room Comfy bed Parking on site
Choice of food or snacks Needed to go into town as there was nothing to do nor restaurants within walking distance.Dont try and drive into town as you will struggle to park and traffic is a nightmare.
the disable room was good with the wet room
we stayed in this hotel on 2 occasions as this was a good location for my forward and return journey to madrid. on my first stay the room was not ready for us or clean, despite it being 9.30pm!! On the second occasion they gave our disabled room away which was unbelievable..this was despite reminding them of this on my first stay. so not very happy. VERY UNORGANISED!!!
clean, helpfull staffs, good value for money, own park area, easy access to autoroad. (early in morning we had drived to toulouse)
- a slight cigar odour on wall of room (as if its from the old times) - not a complain but info ; 8-10 min. to station + 10 min to place de la bourse.
Easy to get to, very clean, lovely breakfast, very helpful staff, absolutely quiet despite being next to 2 busy roads
Not a great location in the middle of down at heel industrial estate.
Free secure parking
The area was lets say not for a family, walking back from an evening out in the city centre from the tram station, (which is further away than expected), i didn't expect to walk through the "ladies of the night" area or expect to see them just outside the hotel. Not a good thing to have to explain to two eleven year old girls!.
Very friendly staff who spoke good English. Good, no-nonsense rooms, nice bathroom. Good breakfast.
Bourdeaux is a really nice city, but the area around the hotel is quite seedy and rundown, with abandoned warehouses and some shady-looking characters lurking about. Not that we were afraid, but it wasn't nice.
Quality of rooms and facilities.
Even non-smoking rooms smelt heavily of smoke.
Very good value
All was good
Just a little to far from city centre.there is a tram within a 15 min walk which was ok .and the taxis are good .for about 20 euors into the city centre.
Best value for money that I have had in a long time. Excellent receptionist very helpful and professional. Great breakfast
Staff were very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was nice as was dinner when we ate in the restaurant.
A little out of town but this was offset by the fairly close and frequent running of trams to the city centre.
