Score from 332 reviews Very good
Comfortable, clean, staff friendly, easy parking. Tram stop about 700 meters for access into city. Was convenient for our 2 night stay.
The hotel is an oasis in the middle of nowwhere, but it takes only 20 minutes to reach it by walking from the railway station.
The hotel is actually in the middle of nowhere, very far from the tram line. The room was quite small with the respect to the huge size of the bed. The shelf for the luggage was too short for the regular size of a suitcase which further reduced the space available in the room.
Excellent value for money, especially as bedrooms had air con. which we needed as the weather was very warm. This was a definite plus. Bus stop was only a couple of minutes walk from hotel and ran twice every hour. This linked up with the trams. Staff were very helpful and the hotel restaurant and rooms were spotlessly clean. Good showers and clean towels every day.
The only downside was that the bedrooms were a bit small, but as they were smart it made up for it. There was an area in the cafe where you could sit and watch TV if you wanted extra space.
English receptionist was extremely helpful upon our arrival. Dinner and breakfast of good quality and choices available.
Restaurant staff not very welcoming.More detail on address to help with finding location would be good.
Helpfull staff recommend places to eat at, 10mindrive into food area best bet unless you want MCDONALD'S Peice of mind secure carpark locked at10pm to 8am from memory.
Location not much around at all for tourists
For us in the weekend, the Wilson provided a business class hotel with air-conditioning and easy parking, all at lowest rates.
Location in a commerical area makes the hotel unattractive for tourist unless you take your car into one of the City centre car parks. That said, by most City standards the hotel is not all that far from the City centre. Good access to motorway.
Friendly reception, good weekend rates, easy location to find, convenient parking, clean business class rooms. Good stop off point en route to the south. Everything in the hotel worked. Good breakfast during the weekend.
We probably would have preferred a classic hotel in the centre of Bordeaux but I accidentally made a non-refundable booking to secure a room. However, we would use this hotel again as we just drove to the centre of Bordeaux and found a parking. The location is in a commercial area on the banks of the Garonne, near car show rooms.
paid online but the reception didnt get it and made me pay once again withou ft even asking. Then when they got it they reemboursed me but since im not american my bank took fees from that error... And the "funny" thing is that the second note was like 20$ cheaper than what i paid online!!
Staff was great and very helpful
For leisure visit not that we'll suited
Straight forward quiet hotel at a good location.
Secure parking not secure, a la carte food bad (hotel photographs of food nothing like reality), rooms incredibly small, high price compared to better hotels. Location not close enough to town centre.
The rooms are nice and clean with all the basics right
Slightly off the beaten track
excellent buffet a surprise, arriving just in time for a late lunch. The presentation of the dining room was very good. Immaculately clean room and bathroom. At first glance the Wilson might seem a bit unlikely, but it is actually a gem. The dining room guests made it obvious that the Wilson is well patronised by the travelling business community, always a good indication. We would both unhesitatingly recommend the Wilson in Bordeaux.
Friendly staff Clean room Comfy bed Parking on site
Choice of food or snacks Needed to go into town as there was nothing to do nor restaurants within walking distance.Dont try and drive into town as you will struggle to park and traffic is a nightmare.
the disable room was good with the wet room
we stayed in this hotel on 2 occasions as this was a good location for my forward and return journey to madrid. on my first stay the room was not ready for us or clean, despite it being 9.30pm!! On the second occasion they gave our disabled room away which was unbelievable..this was despite reminding them of this on my first stay. so not very happy. VERY UNORGANISED!!!
