Located in central Paris, this traditional hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the Luxembourg Garden. It has a 24-hour front desk and provides an airport shuttle service.
Score from 494 reviews Very good
The location of the Hotel is ideal away from the bustle of the City but within easy walking distance and close to the Metro. The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was of a good size with plenty of storage space combined with a clean and fair sized Bathroom, Heating was good and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and of good value with a reasonable choice. Plenty of small restaurants close by.
The WiFi was free but the Internet was extremely slow making it virtually impossible to check emails as it kept buffering constantly.
Quiet, comfortable and convenient.
The friendly staff at the reception
Great location to metro, which gets you everywhere u need to go, restaurants/cafes around the area are lovely and ar not expensive compared to the centre of paris
Good location Quiet Room size good Wi Fi worked well Staff were polite and helpful A lot of restaurants and shops nearby
Too minor to mention
1. No hot water for 2 days 2. Dirty bed covers 3. Room walls dirty and not painted in years 4. Poor customer service
Friendly staff; my room was changed promptly when I complained of the heating system
The staff at the check-in and check-out were very unfriendly. They didn't make us feel welcome at all. Very disapponting. I don't recomend.
Clean, well equipped room, nice bar (Grand ducks) in front of hotel (totally not tourist, but owner speaks English).
High price (Paris...)
The staff was helpful and pointed me to a good restaurant close by (La Forge). The wireless was working very well.
There is restaurant/brasserie on the opposite side of the road; I had a room on the front it was a little noisy in the evening (till ~11pm) cause people were chatting outside.
The hotel is situated in a quiet street, yet walking dustance to shops and restaurants. It was warm, and the beds were comfortable. Clean towels everyday and the the bathroom, although small was very clean.
The rooms are very basic and small. This is fine for visiting Paris as you dont spend too long in the hotel anyway. Compared to other cities, Paris is very expensive, so the quality of hotel for the price paid is poor. There is no coffee making facilities or mini bar in the room.
Wifi very slow. I stayed for 2 nights and on the first night, I got disconnected almost every 5-10 minutes. The hotel was kind enough to fix the problem the following day, but even after this, the wifi was very, very slow.
The staffs, the location and the value.
Clean Service Position Price
internet connection very slow My room window faced a very close building with any view.
location, quietness , comfortability
staff was not smiling enough
Quiet location Well designed bathroom with excellent shower Comfortable bed
No tea/coffee making facilities in room Some decoration needed updating/repairing We avoided breakfast as it was very expensive for what it was
- Noise level. There is a bar/restaurant right opposite of the hotel. - Room was untidish, it leaves a feeling of uncleanness even though I can't say it is dirty. Furniture looks old. - Bed was too short even for my wife. It is too soft as well. We will not come back to this hotel and we won't recommend it. The review mark of 7.9 is definitely way too high. I would give it 5.5 maximum.
Neighborhood. Actually a few really good restaurants just out the door and close to Rue Mouffetard and latin quarter though quitter. Good breakfast for 10 E.
Room is just a stitch small for two but pleasant and its Paris.
We booked 2 rooms, one double and one single But in reality the single room was looking better and spacious than the Double. More or less it was same but there was a price difference between them. I really do not know on whether we got the same room but at 2 diff prices. Also we wanted Cab ( Taxi) at the hotel in the morning and the lady in the reception said she has already ordered and the taxi would come. but for our surprise the next day morning when we reached the reception and asked for the taxi, the person who had come new on his duty said he has no idea on this , neither she has written any thing in the log book which they maintain to communicate between them.
Breakfast was great! Helpful at front desk, neighborhood was pretty quiet and cute and it was nice being a bit farther away from the droves of tourists in the center
Rooms could use updating/painting
Room and facilities were good... Breakfast is excellent for 10 Euros.
good location, very close to the street with bar, restaurant and mini market; metro, bus
Not a bad location. Staff were very helpful when we arrived at midnight and left by 7am.
Not much available in Paris for 100-150 usd per night for a private room with bathroom. This place is fine - clean, no street noise, etc. We got a good deal (80-something euros per night), when the sign at reception said standard is 270euros/night - absolutely no way is it worth the later. It's very dated (not in a preserved, antique way) and the room is very small. But that's Paris. Not much else on offer in the price range unfortunately, so this was fine.
