Staffs are friendly and good with any language. Cosy rooms, super clean. Nice home style restaurant A little bit far from city centre, but consider it's a small town, not a problem for tourists.

Pet lovers: pets are admitted (supplement 4,5 euros/night/pet). Very easy access by car, large secure parking. Non-smoking part of the hotel is brand new, rooms are very comfortable with cosy bathrooms. Everything is spotless. Very quiet at night. Staff is not really friendly.

We stayed to have a stopover on our journey from Italy to the uk. The hotel was clean, a 10 min walk from the centre (which was fine after a day in the car) it has free parking which is a big bonus in colmar, the carpark is also locked at night. The walls were really thin so when we left at 6 am I imagine that we disturbed our neighbours.. We were charged for a small dog which always irritates me. When we stay at the Holiday Inn express on our way down to Italy he stays free!

The Maraichers isn't in the middle of town so it's a kilometre or so to the city centre, which is fine. It's also situated on the main road coming into the town so isn't exactly picturesque. The walk to town starts from behind the hotel so its safe. However, we found the food perfect for a family. Friendly service at reception and in restaurant. We booked a communicating rooms so it wasn't that cheap compared to other city breaks we've had however the room were clean, comfortable and perfect again for kids. Good bathrooms. Overall, we would recommend for our type of stay. Ideal for crashing rather than idling around.

The hotel staff was very helpful and made for a pleasant stay. The price for the room was the biggest draw and it worked out nicely. The walk to town was very easy. We will definitley return.

Value for two adjoining rooms was good. Overall the rooms were somewhat basic, although clean and comfortable. Secure outdoor parking was a plus. The hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from Little Venice and the rest of Colmar, but the walk is well wit and sidewalk for the entire route. It was not a big deal for our 7 and 9 year old children. The value for two rooms was the trade off for the walk, but was not a big deal. Most of the parking garages in town would have been too short for our van with the roof top box mounted, so this was also a plus. Did not do breakfast, but there are stores and patisseries near by to the hotel.

Ample Parking for an auto while still being relatively close to the heart of Colmar (a short drive to get to "Centreville" parking. Very important to tourists with cars. Restaurant menu was very limited for lunch and dinner. We chose to eat out during all three days of our stay.

We stayed in the hotel on our way back from Toscany to the Netherlands. It is conveniently located just off the motorway, and close enough to the city centre of Colmar to spend there half à day before we moved on. The rooms are excellent, and the restaurant offers a good dinner for a reasonable price. A perfect stopover place.

The hotel is an ex Comfort Inn but is now family run. It has typical chain hotel rooms with en suite. The rooms are a little small but adequate for overnight stays. Make sure the shower door is closed properly, the shower is nice and strong but will flood the bathroom and main room carpet if the door is ajar as we discovered! The staff are excellent, very friendly and multilingual. The food is superb. The restaurant is busy every night with guests and drive in customers. The continental buffet breakfast supplies everything you need to start the day. The rooms have their own self control heating so you can have it on when others might not especially if you need to dry the carpet! All in all it's within 15 minutes walk of the beautiful Colmar town centre and easily found off the main routes. Despite the shower issue I would return there. The shower issue, the door needs a seal at the bottom to close the gap and keep the door closed tight.

The hotel was undergoing some renovations and we had a room that had recently been renovated to a very good standard for the price. It was very clean and the facilities, shower, tv, wifi were very good. Restaurant was okay and breakfast was good value. Private car parking good. Overall pleasantly surprised (the outside doesn't do the rooms justice) and would definitely stay again for a one-night stop on the way north/south.

“The hotel was the chosen because it was close to the centre of Colmar and was 80 euros for a double - only 10 euros more than the other two star hotels which were all near rthe railway station. Excellent staff, great location, very comfortable room with airconditioning. Should be 3 star.” Matt, Frankfurt |
