Location was really bad, such a bad area we were afraid for our lives walking to the hotel from the metro, like the gangs area. The room was terrible and dirty, small, window can not lock, phone has no dial tone, towels and sheets were old and dirty looking. It was so late we didn't have a choice but stayed for one night and moved to another hotel in a much better area.

Staff at reception were friendly and helpful Housekeeping was very poor. The housekeeper intruded privacy and insisted on cleaning the room at that particular moment or never. Our room was not made up or cleaned during our 2 days stay (despite our request when we went out). The toilet seat is poorly positioned (on the wall - parallel). We had to sit sideways on the seat

I liked the availability of a nonsmoking room. The bed was very comfortable and the desk staff very personable. It was a nice basic no frills room for the price. Some updating/maintenance is needed as peeling paint and poor caulking were observed in the bathroom and bedroom. While there was breakfast served in the lobby, it was a bit overpriced compared to what was available in the local cafes.

It was cheap for a city hotel and the young man on breakfast duty was very pleasant The immediate area is rundown and a little threatening. The room was small and there was mold in the bathrom The quality of the breakfast was poor I.E. tinned ruit salad no decent fresh bread often shortages

Excellent location, nearby the metro station and lots of restaurant friendly staff. The room is small but it is enough to live. The room which I leave is beside a staris so that it is very noisy in the morning.

The location was great, very near the metro station - Strasbourg which is just around the corner that you can take all around Paris. Very convenient! Another thing we liked was that there were a lot of different cultures in one neighborhood and the restaurants looked great, you could choose from a wide variety of cuisines - Turkish, Indian, Pakistani, Italian, Greek, French, among others. The room was relatively clean. The staff was mostly friendly and were ready to help out if you had a question involving location. There was free internet connection, we thought it was relatively fast. The location is a bit scary at night especially if you're alone. The room was a bit small too and could be noisy depending on who your neighbors were coz the walls were not very thick and you can sometimes hear people going up the stairs from the window. It was also a bit dark coz one of the lights was broken and the phone was there but there was no plug on it... Just for display I guess even if it said you could make free international credit card calls. The shower was waaaaaay to small and you wouldn't wanna take a shower barefoot.

The hotel staff lets me change room when I told them the traffic was too noisy. 1. Checkout at 11am. 2. rooms that face the street are too noisy. I had my ear plugs on and I could not sleep. 3. I left my room at 3PM and the room was not cleaned. My "please clean my room" tag on the door was just put in my room. Not even my towels were changed.

The machine for the credit card was broken when we checked out. However, the lady at the reception never tried to fix it and told me to go withdraw cash at nearest bank. I said no because the back has only display in French. Another customer who speaks French paid by cash but he was also really upset. We tried to go exchange my money but it was closed. After a while somebody came to the reception and the machine was fixed after all. We could pay by credit card but it took long time.

The two gentleman at the reception were very helpful and friendly. The reception is open 24/7 which is convenient for me. The room is comfortable and the elevator is interesting, with a lovely view. The lady receptionist and the manager were rude and unhelpful. The receptionist called me a cab that was 20minutes away without explaining to me that I would have to pay for that. She was very rude in her handling of this matter as well. Breakfast is not included but there is great food near the hotel.

It is quite close to main railway station east. The room was cozy. It locates in a pretty horrible district full of migrants which makes you unsafe when walking from subway station to hotel. The bathroom construction was about to be destroyed.

Real close to Metro station....we used once. Purpose was to stay close to Gare De :'Est so we could drop off our luggage and go.....and depart the same way. Much nicer than friends; hotel that was just across the street from the train station for the same price.....so worth the walk. [However, breakfast is an extra charge....so it does cost a little more.....but worth it.] Small room.
