Hotellet var delvis under oppussing. Sterk limlukt i oppgangene. Heisen til rommene var ikke i stand.

The extremely good locality that you can walk to Gare de l'Est and Metro station of Gare du Nord is just 2 stops away! It is very convenient for travelers who wish to travel via Trains. This is a modern designer's hotel, where every single piece of amenity is tastefully selected, even the trash bin is a piece of art! I love the size and design of the bathroom;all the toiletries are provided, from shower cap to cotton bud, which only upon request from the other Best Western hotels we stayed in Champs Élysées. The best are the JBL iPod dock and Krups Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Receptionist is very friendly and fluent in English. Coffee is FOC in the lounge. We feel warm when Umbrella was provided during the rain.

Although it is located conveniently, but it is within a busy and messy street of Chateau d' Eau. You can smell urine everywhere before you can locate the hotel. The street where the hotel situated,Rue Gustave Goublier is not easy to look for, and it will be a problem to a non French spoken tourist like me.

Location to metro was good. Staff was very friendly.

Rooms were small. No closet or ironing board. Hot water was intermittent in shower. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but I don't mind that, but girlfriend does.

The hotel is located very near the metro station. Decoration is lovely. Room size is small but it's in typical Paris size. Breakfast includes rich selections but you have to pay extra for it.

Breakfast is pretty expensive (12 euro/person).

Once we paid for an upgrade the room was lovely, the Staff member who helped us out was happy to accommodate our requests.

Standard rooms are much too small. suitable for a short-stay business trip, but not for a couple on holiday.

Friendly stuff, good location if you travel by Eurostar, walking distance to quite a few tourists attraction. Would stay there again if I were to come to Paris.

We had a deluxe room but the size of it was anything but deluxe - can't imagine how small standard rooms are.

Very clean and comfortable room, well equiped (coffee machine, SmartTV - so you can see your video/photo, quite big safe box), free water, coffee and tea in the room. Very good location - near two metro stations + bus. Friendly staff. WiFi was always available. There are a lot of restaurants and supermarkets around for different level. PS: There were a lot of strange people in the district (mostly around of numerous hair salons), but they never disturbed us.

It would be great to have a little bigger room and a small refrigerator.

Stylish decorated rooms with a coffee machine. Organic breakfast.

Too much people in so small breakfast room in the morning. If you don't get up early you can't get all choice of breakfast.

We got a bigger room (handicap room) for the same price, both the details and the size the room were really good. The spanish speaker in the reception was very nice.

The location is not perfect.

The floor in the bathroom got wet when showering. And we got only 3 capsules for the Nespresso machine each day, that is one and a half cup per person...

-The location is perfect. It's a bit of a upcoming multi culti neighbourhood (not in a negative way) and half the price of hotels in the Marais which is in walking distance. - nice hidden affordable restaurants in the area (visit the one across the street - Rue St Martin) - more affordable than other arrondissements (we knew of others that were staying in a design hotel in Le Marais for more than twice what we paid, but that turned out to be extremely small, tiny beds and a low roof... here you get what you see) - proper sized comfortable bed - metro line 4 (stop Strassbourg / Saint-Denis) takes you to a lot of places very quickly - rooms are not large, but nice and clean. Big enough for what you need for a couple of days of city trip (we stayed 4 days) - Nespresso machine in your room. You get 3 cups a day, but we brought our own as well - friendly and helpful staff - if you need an afro haircut, there are about 5 hairdressers specialising in afro's in the area ;) - we didn't take breakfast at the hotel as there are enough affordable possibilities nearby (e.g. 2 cappuccino & croissants for € 10,-) and personally I prefer to have breakfast out and experience the city - so we did not try it. - as mentioned above, due to the location of this hotel we walked a lot. I've been to Paris for about 5 times now, but this is the first time I really got the impression that I got to know the city. It surprised me that it was really walkable (Le marais, Canal St Martin, Gare de l'Est, Gare du Nord, etcetera)

- Some bums were sleeping under the archway at the end of the street, but as you see bums all over Paris this is not really something negative about this hotel - room tends to get a bit warm and you cannot really control the thermostat, but opening the windows helps a lot (we were there in february)

Our stay here was excellent. The staff were friendly and the room was both clean and modern. There was plenty of hanging space for our clothes and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is very close to two metro stations and is straight off a main road so is easy to find. Very close to the hotel is a whole range of bars, restaurants and late night venues with live music and good crowds which we really enjoyed. Before we left we saw reviews saying that people were drug dealing around the area, what we actually discovered was that on the main street that links the hotel to gare de l'est there is many hair salons with men hanging outside them. They have no interest in tourists or dealing, they are just trying to get women into the salons to get their hair done. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay here again.

I couldn't find the on button to the espresso machine through my own stupidity. My partner found it at the back of the machine.

Nice and clean rooms, friendly staff, good location and great value for money.

Liked the nespresso machine and large bathtub.

The ceiling was very low in our room. You had to be careful not to bang your arms while showering. We were told a baby crib was coming as requested but in the evening we were told it was already in use. It was a long night with a one year old with no safe place to sleep. Thankfully the nest 2 nights we had use of the crib.

Staff, wifi

Perfectly located in 3 minutes walking distance from metro line 4. Staff was kind, the bed was comfortable (I used a double bed alone). The room was very clean and new, there was no noise whatsoever. They provide Nespresso machine in the room with coffee and tea free of charge.

The room was very small, as usual in Paris. Not recommended for large people. The room, I mean, not Paris. :-)

The hotel was very well presented and comfortable to stay in, staff were very friendly and professional. The location was perfect, about 15 minutes from Gare du Nord and in walking distance of most attractions, shopping district and large selection of restaurants.

Rooms are rather small, and there wasn't a wardrobe. The area of which the hotel is located doesn't feel safe at night.

The staff is extremely kind (they also suggested us a nice restaurant nearby). The room was refurnished with a fantastic nespresso machine, a lcd flat screen tv and an apple docking station. The position is strategic you can walk in less than 30 minutes to Notre Dame, Louvre, Marais or the Opera/ Lafayette The hotel was clean, nice and recently refurnished with a good value for money. Next time in Paris I will go back for sure.
