The location, the appearance of the public areas. The room was small with a sloping ceiling - 'chambre anglaise' |

The bathroom was newly refurbished and was spotlessly cleaned every day. The breakfast had an excellent choice of foods and was good value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient and the location is very convenient to the old town and port |

This was an excellent hotel in an ideal location, within walking distance of all ameneties. The nearest car park was a little too far away for carrying luggage to/from. |

Immaculately clean, good uk standard bathrooms, comfortable beds, very pleasant staff. Very close to all facilities though if you are looking for peace and quiet you should be aware that the St Nicholas district itself is a very lively one at night. All in all a very nice place to stay |

We leanrt they are no longer part of the Comfort Group but are family run with two others local hotels, good experience. Slightly pricey. |

Lovely looking hotel, nice area, very central, nice staff and reception area. Bathrooms were spotless. Rooms were very basic, a bit grubby and very noisy early in the morning. You can hear the neighbours use their bathroom! |

There was a relaxed, quiet and friendly atmosphere. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was in a safe, quiet location within easy walking distance of the old port, beach and shopping areas. Free, easily accessible internet service provided. The paved area outside was a pleasant place for guests to have a coffee or a glass of wine. They served very small pots of tea at breakfast and I had to ask for a jug of milk rather than being offered it. Otherwise I liked everything! |

For a short visit to La Rochelle, the location is ideal, the facilities are excellent and the price is reasonable. The choice at breakfast was also better than expected. |

the staff were very friendly and helpful. we arrived from ireland and we were surprised at the staffs ability to speak english.we enjoyed the breakfast on offer and the location of the hotel was very convenient. it was set in a quiet location although the busy port was close at hand. we would definately stay at this hotel again. it would have been nice if the hotel served evening meals. |

I liked the convenience coupled with the fact that the hotel was just round the corner from all the old port facilities and entertainment but was in an extremely quiet street |

Hotel is in the very center. 5 minutes to the quay. Comfortable rooms and very friendly and helpfull stuff. We'd wish the price to be little lower, but considering it's location and quality - it costs this money |

The hotel is very conveniently located, just a few minutes walk from the harbour and the town centre. Booking the hotel parking is a good option. The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and overall we had a lovely time. |

In a peaceful street in the heart of historic La Rochelle, the hotel François 1er enjoys a convenient location near the old port, beach and parks. |
A 5-storey oasis only steps away from La Rochelle’s old port; the hotel offers magnificent views over the ocean and outlying islands. |
In a verdant 12-hectare park, 5 minutes from the historic centre of La Rochelle and the old port, the Domaine Du Château is a peaceful and accessible residence dedicated to leisure. |
Situated on the seaside, this haven of peace connected to the thalassotherapy centre stretches over 5 hectares of protected land between vineyards and the ocean. |
