Fantastic view of the Eifel Tower from the room The rudest staff I have ever encountered. I arrived to check in and queued for 45 mins just to be told to come back in an hour. Came back in an hour and received only one room key as the other room (for my children) was still being cleaned. After 5 more attempts and a total of 1.5 hours standing in a queue at reception I eventually cheched into the second room at 00.05! If you try and contact anybody from your room they will not pick up the phone so you have to go to reception for everything and stand in the queue. Forget trying to get a taxi outside the hotel - nobody will help you. If you stay in this hotel you will end up hating France and hating the French.

This hotel is bad value for money and has rude, unfriendly staff. We reported a major leak in our room that was flooding the floor and were not thanked for having done so and we received no apology. The room was dirty (hairs and soap still on shower curtain!). We asked for a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and didn't get one even though the hotel did not appear to be full and no explanation was given as to why we couldn't have a room with a view. Location is ok but not great for sight seeing. The free wifi advertised was not a strong enough signal for any of the 3 internet ready devices we had with us to pick it up and use it and they have no problems in most places. The bar on the top floor is very expensive (25 euros a drink!!) We were given 2 single duvets for a double bed. Strange bathroom doors that swing shut heavily on top of you and seem to amplify any sound made in the bathroom as they don't fit properly. I would say this is a very over priced but normally functional hotel for business use only. Do not stay here for a weekend break as you will be disappointed. Overall this is a terrible hotel. (I have complained to the hotel a week before writing this review and heard nothing back!!)

The concierge service was excellent. I travel extensively and can genuinely say the concierge/ bell captain team is probably the best in the world for service and helpfulness. These people are outstanding. They outshine the quality of the hotel. Panorama Bar on 33rd floor well worth a visit. Very good service there too. I had a Jnr Suite - Cost €720. The heating didn't work. I called reception. They did nothing for a 90mins. I then found a maintenance man and tipped him to get it fixed. Discovered later heating still didn't work. Called reception again. They said it would get fixed. They didn't and I went to bed 7 hours after arriving with the room still very cold. The shower head was broken and shot water at the ceiling and all around the bathroom making it impossible to have a decent shower. This hadn't just happened - any cleaner doing their job properly would have noticed and reported. It must have been a member of the brain dead who decided where to place the shower tap as it is so stupid. To turn on the lights you first have to click the switch by the door. Since nothing will happen you then need to use the light from the bathroom and your mobile phone to find the remote hidden somewhere in room which then works the lights. "Club" facilities on 30th floor are not up to international standards. By 11am it was shut up. No tea, coffee, biscuit or service. This hotel is tired. Look at age of carpets and chips on paint work and you can see that this hotel is being plundered for its cash flow and not being invested in. Not for the business man.

The view was outstanding as was the staff. Thank you This is definitely not meant to be a complaint because everyone was very nice. However, it would have been useful to us to just give us what areas around the hotel were safe for walking and what areas are not so good. We didn't know and felt uncomfortable during a walk. We realized later that the other direction felt safe. We wished we knew that ahead of time....but do not blame anyone.

Good location, close to the train station. I was so disappointed with this hotel. We booked here solely for the view of the Eiffel Tower at night from the 33rd floor bar only to be told it was closed for refurbishment until December. Not a word on their website!

Room is rather large, clean and confortable. Hotel staff are friendly and helpfull. Wanted to see the view from the 33rd floor but was a little dissapointed as it was closed for renovation. Would have been a lot better if tea/coffee and electric kettle is provided so we can have a cup of coffee/tea.

The room was good enough and also it wasw very clean . At check - in, they asked me to prepay all the amount of our stay -9 nights - and they gave us a room at the third floor without view .I asked of him to give to us a room at an other floor and to pay an extra charge -higher with view -- but he told me that it was impossible without to explain me the reason .The breakfast had an extra charge 19 euros per person that was very expensive for what offered. Also two espresso in our room had as charge 17 euros

Room was very small, which I can live with, but to label oneself as a 'luxury' hotel, and not provide washclothes, no drawers, have disappearing hot water while showering, and a huge water stain covering the entire width of the bathroom ceiling......., That's going a bit too far. The staff was very friendly and efficient, but I will not go back there so soon.

Worst stay in my 45 years of staying the most famous and the best hotels in the world. Reception was poorest of seen in yeras. Management was inconsiderate. Requesting to pay in advance during the stay and not accepting credit cards. Charging me 20 Euros for an 600 number dialing on a prepaid card. Totally upsetting and had very bad pressure rising moments both at check in and check out. Never will stay in this hotel.

The location is excellent! The metro stop is in the same building with direct access to the best tour spots. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. I told the staff that I was extremely disappointed with the 8th floor "renovated" room. It was small with scuffed and damaged walls, much like a standard room in need of paint. The staff moved me to a much better room. The double supreme room on the 24th floor had breath- taking view of Paris and the Eifel Tower. The hotel is very beautiful, modern and contemporary with fast elevators. Overpricing. The 39 euro per day parking is way too much (park behind at the Palais du Congress). Drinks in the bar were way overpriced. The espresso was just regular coffee. Wireless Internet was amazingly slow but the room also come with a lan cable which was much faster.

I have been there for the last 20 years and I like its situation. Very easy to reach. Most important thing: its renovatoin. It looks like brand new. I recommend this hotel for people who would like to discover Paris easily. Room service is very expensive! I cannot imagine a 14 euros "Cafe au lait" (9 euros for the cafe au lait and 5 euros for the "couvert"). On top of that you have to add the tip for the waiter, and when the waiter has to come more than one time because something was missing on the tray, then you pay another tip...

Great positio and rooms are great. The personel at the check in desk are sirley and dismissive - often ignoring guests as they shuffle papers! Sadly I had 4 seperate incidents at reception, a young well-to-do Eastern gentleman was treated so badly ... I am from South Africa and not since the apartheid era have I witnessed such an attitude to another person ... And all because he was in the Lafayette Club queue! Sadly the attitude of the staff will be my lasting memory ... Despite a great stay.
