Domaine Sacret is located in Ay, only 2 km from Epernay. The elegant-style guest house features a terrace and a large, communal lounge with billiard, a bar and a TV.
Score from 8 reviews Wonderful
Just 800 metres from Epernay city centre, this hotel is just a 2-minute walk from to the Avenue de Champagne where the famous champagne houses such as Moet Chandon, Mercier, Perrier, Jouet De...

Great place to stay, room very clean and good size. Good breakfast.
I had problems with WiFi but my husband had no issues
Overall, very good. Breakfast is also good.
The Wi-Fi service and the provider is the worst. The friendly staff are well aware.
Kitchen was not fully equipped as advertised. Kitchen equipment provided by request was worse than basic. Staff not very helpful. Room stunk of smoke, not great if you are travelling with kids or are non-smoker. Water provided is very limited. Awful place, too expensive for what it is, I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Avoid!!!!
Check in male staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and a good size. Bed was very comfortable and we slept well.
There was a small kitchenette but no utensils/plates/pots/pans of any description. I had to borrow a fork and spoon from the staff to eat my dinner. No WiFi at all - when I asked the morning staff about it, she just shrugged and walked away. I probably would not stay here again.
Spacious room, easy parking, good location, nice area.
Wifi difficult to connect, first have to register at some commercial web site. Annoying!
Poorly equipped room, no crockery etc Poor location and badly signed No selection of pillows or blankets
View of the vineyards, car parking, look of the exterior.
In spite of providing a kitchenette, NO items that are part of a kitchen were provided. No pots, crockery, cutlery, utensils, glassware, kettle, tea towels, cleaning equipment (sponge, detergent). The cupboards were completely bare. Not even anything you'd expect in a hotel room - like a kettle and some cups. When I asked at reception, we were told we could have a box of items (with a deposit) if we asked for them. Why didn't the receptionist mention this when we checked in?This included the bare basics, but nothing that enabled you to make any sort of meal. AND... Then told we were obligated to clean the kitchen and to do this we could go out and buy cleaning stuff at a nearby supermarket. After travelling for 5 weeks through France in a variety of self catering places this was a first. I don't think this property knows what it is. If you're a hotel, at least provide a mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities. Don't provide a cooktop, fridge and drink and NOTHING else if you want to be an apartment. Oh, and don't expect spare blankets or pillows, because they're absent too. Seriously, don't be fooled...
the price was good. It was quite. The suites are large. There is a separate bedroom area and then a kitchen area and living room combined. I assume the sofa pulls out into a bed. So it's good for large families.
No service at the hotel. The reception desk is only open for limited times during the morning and night. Hotel needs to be updated. The shower head has to be held which makes it difficult to take a shower.
Price Parking Availability
A bit outdated Looked like a dormitory Not for those who wish for something special
Plenty of space and free parking and very friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff A small but pleasant bath tub in all rools.
Converted army barracks and still a bit the same way Very poor and very basic furnishings Kitchen but zero cutlery or pots and pans or plates
This is a budget hotel which has excellent reception staff
It's a bit basic
The location was great for the price, you can easily walk into town and back. Great for the dog as lots of walks near by. Great parking too which is what we wanted. It was exactly what we were looking for, a budget hotel with all the things we needed. The guy at reception knew a lot about the hotels long history, very interesting, could have listened to him for hours. Great guy to have on reception!
Some of the decor in the bathroom was well worn but it is a budget hotel. The kitchen had no implements but we had no plans to cook. I guess we could have asked for some. We didn't look into it but before going if you plan to use the little kitchen check this out.
Good bed. Spacious, clean enough.
No shower! No kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, or glasses (why have a kitchen?). Soulless hotel in a soulless town.
Stayed for the second time because of its location to visit the area. Breakfast choices are OK and of good quality. The personnel is friendly.
The wifi was (once again) not operational. The bed in the intial room (2nd building) looked/felt more like a temporary solution.
'Self catering apartment' booked - arrived and not a single item of crockery, cutlery, pans etc - absolutely ridiculous. Furniture like a run down student apartment - very disappointed
Very helpful, friendly & patient staff. Easy parking right outside the hotel. Great views of the surrounding countryside. Comprehensive selection of drinks and food to purchase from the hotel foyer. Staff were even able to recommend a pizza delivery firm that delivered to our room, useful as one of our party was not able to walk.
My only gripe would be that although our family apartment had a kitchen with fridge and hob there was no other equipment (e.g. crockery, cutlery etc), this may be quite normal.
location and good car parking
corridor fire doors make a lot of noise when closing and wake you up at night.
Duplex style apartment with mezzanine bedroom. Quiet out-of-town location.
Lack of clarity of information on arrival - to use the kitchenette facilities it was necessary to pay a deposit and take the equipment to the apartment. this was not explained initially, so we were somewhat confused about the empty kitchen!
Works for an overnight stay, would not want to stay longer. Room comfortable, but basic. Staff Helpful and gave eating recommendations etc.
Not great views and location was in the middle of housing/industrial area.
no plates, glasses just nothing for cooking in appartement shall we travel with potes?
Bad smelly rooms. No kitchen utensils. No wifi as it was quite poor strength. Breakfast was ok but it it's typical good quality.
Helpful staff. Big parking lot, Lidl nearby. Location: very far form the town center, you will need a car.
The kitchen is not equipped if you stay less than 10 days. Of course no-one travels with pans and cutlery, so you could say you pay for a kitchen you cannot use. I insisted and managed to obtain 2 plates, 2 forks and knives, 1 pot and 2 cups for a 50€ deposit. Problems with the WiFi.
Staff was not friendly to the kids
The breakfast is very good. The place is clean. Having the extra space of a studio apartment was nice. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The other guests were quiet. There seemed to be a huge number of Belgians.
The quality of the furnishings is cheap, the double bed is very small, the location makes it hard to walk into the centre of Epernay.
It was clean and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. They were happy to tell us were to go and what to do. The rooms were spacious and pleasant.
The hotel was a little far out of town. Despite the rooms having kitchens they were not stocked with pans, plates, cuttley, cups etc which was rather useless. The rooms had lovely large windows but extremely dangerous for children as there were no safety locks.
