The Hotel Continental is a family-run hotel, set in a 19th-century building with chandeliers and a flower-filled garden terrace. It is just 110 yards from Lake Geneva, in the heart of Evian. All of the guest rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated in a Belle Époque style. They have free Internet access and come with flat-screen TVs with satellite channels and private bathrooms. A buffet breakfast is served daily in the Continental’s pleasant dining area, or on the terrace in summer. The Hotel Continental is ideally situated for touring the Rhône-Alpes region and Switzerland. It is a 5-minute walk from the train station, the ferry port and a spa center, and a 30-minute boat-ride from Lausanne. I really apreciated the kindness of the owners they helped me by giving me notes to go to Switzerland where i had to be for some interviews. They also helped me with the parking and they proposed some nice restaurants, extremelly kind people!! Also i enjoyed staying in my room, it was really charming,clean and warm! Another thing is that the hotel is located in the city center, so i could make a small tour and find everything easily. I didn't took the breakfast because i found it a bit expensive (it wasn't included in the price), though i might be wrong cause i prefered not to taste it!

I was going with family for a ski vacation. My Son broke his leg while skiing the first day we arrived and Mrs Catherine and her family made our stay a comfortable one despite the accident we had. They did their best to help and support us in our needs as we had to spend most of our time in the room.

The location was very handy to the city of Evian-les-Bains and the old world charm feel of Hotel Continental. It was carefully decorated in detail and very comfortable. It was very accessible as well, if you returned back to the Hotel late in the evening, the staff left you the access codes for the secure locked door. There were people openly smoking in the room below us out the window, which meant the smoke came into our room, which was not very pleasant for a non-smoking room.

Our stay at the Hotel Continental was perfect...it's not often that a hotel actually lives up to its reputation but this hotel did just that. The location is amid the cafes and shops but is still very quiet. It's just a very short walk to the lake and its lovely promanade. The service at Hotel Continental could not have been better...friendly, helpful and 'available'. If possible, ask for a top floor room facing the lake. What an evening we spent sipping wine while watching the sun set across the lake - and all while sitting in our own room! No complaints here!

The location is excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is adequate. Some of the old furniture is in need of repair. It would be nice to have a lounge/bar in which to relax in the afternoon or evening.

Very nice and charming hotel from 1886, you almost feel 50 years back in time. Very well located in the city center on the main shopping street. Very friendly staff and owners, nice fresh breakfast and free internet connection. On Wednesday night there is a bar down the street with a live band singing till 11pm that was quite noisy and difficult to sleep altough the music was nice.

Size of rooms (had a triple room as theer were three of us) were excelent. Continental breakfast was excelent with plenty of fresh produce and the coffee was always hot and refreshed. Excellent English speaking staff being friendly and courteous. An old building, the rooms were a bit dated, but the rooms were very clean. The location was excellent. The staff were excvellent.

Accueil chaleureux. Petit hotel situé sur la rue piétonne, centre ville avec un parking très proche. Pièces décorés avec beaucoup de charme. Espace petit déjeuner très chaleureux, buffet copieux. Les portes de salle de bain ferment difficilement. Mauvaise insonorisation des chambres.
