The night staff was kindly and tried to find another hotel since they could not offer us the superior suite we originally booked. The hotel offered us a free stay the first night to compensate for the missing room. The hotel is placed in a very small side road without traffic noise. The breakfast is ok - but if you don't need egg and bacon - then go to a cafe near by....it's much cheaper. When we arrived the hotel, they could only offer us 2 normal rooms, eventhough we booked a superior suite for our family 2 adults + 2 children on 17 and 8 (yongest is disabled). We were in telephone contact with the hotel 3 times. First time to ensure that there was an elevator. Second time to ensure the reservation of the parkplace outside the hotel and the third time (on arriving day) to tell the hotel when we would arrive. The hotel did not tell us - at any time - that they couldn't offer us a superior suite, and they didn't tell us that the hotel was under refurbisment (=excruciating noise 08:00-16:00). After first night we were moved to a suite (ha ha). It was an old non-refurbished, dusty, dirty room with very bad sleeping facilities (even found a bed-bug). We stayed there for 2 night but will never return.

Its location is pretty good. We specified that we were four persons and the booking showed two double beds. However it turned out that there were only one double bed, one small bed and a not long enough couch. The worst of our experiences at the hotel was bugs that sucked all of us making us not able to sleep. We are not sure if there bites would not cause further health hazards.

The location was great. I was one black away from the Metro which made it very easy to get around. The room we stayed in was very very very smal...but seemed to be renovated, thefore was very clean. The pictures defitnitely make the place look a lot better than is actually is. My parents had a lot of problems. There lights in the bathroom were very dark you could barely see. There phone was broken and no one fixed it. The Elevator only fit 2 people and that was extremely tight. The towels were dirty. Overall I thought that the rate was a little high for a very small living space with no real perks. I also thought that they should have compensated my parents for all of their issues rather than ask them to change rooms. Changing rooms is a hassel for guests once they have unpacked all of their things to say for a week.

This hotel is in a nice state. The rooms are not very spacious but clean and equipped with good beds and with a television (almost exclusively french-speaking channels); there are few three-bed apartments. The personel at the reception is very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for a city trip with many highlights of Paris being at a distance of 15 to 30 minutes of walking. The metro station "Grand Boulevards" is at a distance of 3 to 5 minutes and the train station "Auber" (rer, underground in the centre of the city) is at a 10 to 15 minutes walking distance. From there it is for instance only a 40-minutes-trip by train to Disneyland (no transfer). Breakfast is too expensive for children who pay the same price as adult guests. The single lift is small (but it worked). There was now and then a bit of noise coming up from the street, but in general it was quite between midnight and 6 or 7 A.M. The neighborhood appears to be not extremely safe. This is why I do not advise this hotel or any other hotel in this neighborhood to a single (female) traveler.

The room was newly redecorated--very clean and the bathroom was also very nice and very clean. The room was small for three people, but I have heard that this is normal in Paris. The personnel were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was quite good.

Our room, though small, was very clean; the linens and down comforter immaculate. All staff courteous and professional. Breakfast was a very good option with lots of fresh choices. Location was perfect, on a "private road" but easy 2 block walk to Metro. We were easily able to see all that we wanted and even access tgv trains to destinations outside of Paris! Best vacation ever! We tend to go to sleep around 10:30 and the nightlife didn't but with earplugs it was all good!

It was situated in a back street and therefore it was really quiet. There were no sounds of traffic at all and we could open the window for fresh air. There were free parking spaces right in front of the hotel. Excellent! For us the hotel was perfect, so no downsides there.

It was a good location, although a little dicey walking through the shadowy entrance to this narrow but quiet street. Clean rooms and linens. The front desk was nice although insisted in talking to me in English, although I do speak French. Also, gave us the keys to a room that was already occupied - we entered only to find someone else's luggage. We walked back down and he gave us another key. Also, regular rip off petit dejeuner - 14 Euros a piece for a buffet but only really ate bread and coffee. Will remember next time!

Excellent location 100m from Grand Boulevard metro. 10 min walk to Opera. Lots and lots of restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff. Huge family room with babycot! Silent from traffic. Hotel is in small "inner city area" without traffic. Worlds smallest lift.. Hehe.. Family needs 2 trips with lift...

Excellent breakfast. Friendly service. Clean room. The room was rather small with little space to put one's coat, clothes and handbag. In the bathroom virtually no place for a toilet bag. Adding another chair and a few pegs in the room would already help.

“We used this hotel for our honeymoon. Location is perfect and people were so friendly. There are supermarkets around there so that we can easily buy local foods and enjoy in the room. On Sunday, there is local market around nearby subway station. There also we can enjoy local foods. This hotel is well equipped and you don't have to bring anything. We went out everyday and we felt as if we were going "home" at the end of the day. We definitely use this hotel again if we have opportunity to come to Paris. We strongly recommend this hotel.” Tomomi, Tokyo |
