So kind staff, 1 minute walk to the beach and very short distance to the old town. Absolutely convenient for staying several days. Children loved the terrace and enjoyed the view! :)
A bit small shower space but the hospitality of this hotel is much much better than expected.
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location of the hotel.
If you are staying for the one night only, then you are going to be a subject to an extra 10€ payment for using kitchenette utensils which is not reflected in the price by the time of booking.
Good location next to the sea, clean room, terrace with nice sea-view, relatively price.
We found a kitchen in the room but absolutely no tableware. Asked a girl on reception to give us a kettle or a pot to boil water. Girl, smiling gave us a kettle. Then we found that the room does not have even glasses. Girl refused to bring us glasses "because we don't provide them for 1 night guests". To my question of whether she offer us to drink boiled water right from kettle, the girl became very angry, brought us two cups and asked rudely "NOW SAY WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED". When I tried to explain that normal hotels provide guests at least with 2 glasses for toothbrushes, which can be used to drink a tea, the girl started to cry that we want too much for just 60 euro and that they already upgraded us to a bigger room. We frankly didn't care about size of the room (we didn't need the second bed provided) but it was a shock not to be able to even ask for cups without a scandal. Wifi in this hotel didn't work at all: you could connect, but no sites were loading. The hotel doesn't have a dedicated entrance, it is located on 3rd floor of a building with some other organizations.
Wonderful welcome from owner. Lovely hotel in great location. Easy access to buses, trains and the airport. Room had access to lovely patio area overlooking the sea, unfortunately the weather was not good enough for us to sit out.
Wifi access didn't work at all.
A warm welcome on arrival. The kitchen facility so one can self cater.
Fantastic location, just next to the Nice opera and just up the road to the flower market. The third floor terrace is magic with views of the beach and sea, a million dollar view. The ladies who run the hotel are just lovely.
Great location, warm (it's mid November), clean
- Central location - Anonimity of the hotel - Quiet - Very friendly staff A perfect hotel if you want to stay in Nice and you use your room as a place to sleep and to rest. There seemed to be a very nice terrace but the weather didn't allowed us to use it.
- The bed was too short for my 1.85m.
Excellent location - very convenient for both beach & town. The women who run Hotel Cresp are very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely shared terrace overlooking the promenade to watch the world go by. Perhaps more of an apartment-type hotel, spread over the third floor, with staff on-site during the day to sort things out. Having three keys for the outside door, floor and room felt secure for me and easy to come and go.
The steps up from the entrance are a bit run down (in a French sort of way...!). Once you've found the lift and got used to how it works I was fine. On one night the room was noisy with people in the street until the early hours; I was ok but it could be an issue if not too tired.
Fantastic place with a sea view room. It's located the centre position of the old town. Very convenient to go to the beach, supermarket, castle and 3 stops to railway station by tram.
The elevator is a little bit small.
Location,room was nice & clean
Entrance hall ,lift
I love the terrace. It's wonderful and directly facing the sea. Location is great. Value for money.
Very beautifull see view and close to old town. Nicely decorated room.
Very old building, and very old elevator. 3 steps make it diffult to enter with large suitecase. The paint in the hall is peeling off. So only go there for low budget. In the largest see-view room the bathroom was nicely renovated, but the drainage of the shouwer was blocked. They immediatly added a product, but it did not really help and remained the same for my stay of 4 days (water on hole floor if shouwer takes longer then 5 min) If you stay one day, kitchen is empty, not even a cup, you can not even boil water for coffé.
Most delightful quirky hotel. Our stay here was so good we stayed an extra night. It's not stainless-steel modern or flash, it's has soul! The terrace overlooking the sea has the best view of the Med. you could want. Spent most evenings with a wine watching the sunset. heaven. Our hosts Regina, Marion and Sami were wonderful and made us feel at home. We will definitely be back for another visit.
Across the street from the beach;next door to the Opera house; steps away from many wonderful resturants - walking distance from everyplace we wanted to visit; bus stop nearby also.
The rooms that face a courtyard are quiet and spacious. Room #11 which is above a noisy restaurant where many seem to drink and sing until the wee hours of the morning, is not a good room.
Sometimes in the late afternoon the elevator to the hotel had a smell of cat urine. The plants on the balcony facing the ocean seemed to be dying. Room 11 was super noisy. Had to step up and balance to get to kitchen in room 11.
The deck and view was wonderful. The staff was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
Location! View in balcony
This hotel is a hidden gem. The location in the old town provides easy access to everything. Our triple room had been recently renovated so was modern and clean, with a small balcony overlooking the courtyard and a balcony line for drying clothes. The shared terrace was large and fabulous, providing million dollar views. Wonderful value for money. The owner, Sonya as wonderful, so friendly and helpful.
Nothing not to like here
Great room. Really close to all the action. Old style building gives you a surprise but room is great.
great location, near the beach and staff is very nice.
the bar downstairs are quite noisy, you can barely fall in to sleep.....
Owners Marion and Reine were so helpful. Location was amazing with views of the sea and street markets were close by. Towels were changed daily. Great place to stay.
A few more kitchen utensils would be good.
Location is perfect - close to the beach, close to restaurants, cafes and bars. Parking is easy to find and convenient. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The shower is fantastic. Bathrooms look quite new. Small lift to get your luggage up to the third floor. Terrace is great to sit and look out over the beach.
Beds are quite small and the room can be a little noisy - but it's well worth it for the location. Would definitely stay here again.
excellent location, terrace overlooking the boulevard and seaview
no curtains so early wake-up from the light
