Very friendly and helpfull staff. Nice historical building.

The heating system is controled for the complete hotel and it is not possible to reduce the temperature in the room during winter time => we had up to 24° in the room during the night. The room is very small and not well isolated (it is easy to ear the tv of the neighbor room...), the furniture are old. The prices of the room/breakfast and restaurant are too high and not justified. Finally, 4* are not justified.

There are not many hotels in Montauban and this is just very welcome . The interior is very nice and spacious . The bar is cosy and the staff is very nice . The gastronomic restaurant was top , way up there . The menu in the bar also looked very nice .

Rooms : beds are only 160 cm wide ( typical French ) and the duvet was synthetic . The Leffe beer was served in a Heineken glass , that is unacceptable at this level !!! Sorry , on gets his b...s chopped for something like that in Belgium !

It was situated very close to the main roads. the food in the Bistro was very good. it was warm weather and so the Cloisters was a lovely place to eat outdoors.

The room was an upgrade as we wanted a balcony. the offices overlooked us and the view was an alleyway and the top of another part of the hotel. it was to much a conference centre. there were conference candidates walking along the corridors to get to meeting rooms. it was not conducive to rest. The restaurant staff were not friendly and rather aloof and arrogant. i was told that i did not know the correct way to order a steak when i was presented with an over cooked one for example.

Great near downtown location (walking distance to city centre), neat old buildings recently remodeled with modern conveniences. Lots of free parking.

The hotel was well situated close to the town centre,easily found, with good car parking. The staff were all knowledegable and well mannered presenting a good image. The bedroom was a good size with a large comfortable bed and was well away from any internal hotel noise.

The room was advertised as having a balcony overlooking the river. The river could not be seen and the balcony, which was not clean and had rusty railings, overlooked a busy road. The staff in the restaurant and bistro were too quick to charge items to the room without presenting a bill/account for checking/signature and on checking out the details were not available, just the amount. The prices in the bar/bistro were extremely high for what was on offer. The hotel advertised "stay two nights and pay for one!" In its brochure and I discovered this after paying for 2 nights in advance. Booking com took up the case with the management (Mr Portet) and he advised he would credit my Credit card account with Euro 142. Confirmed by Booking.com on 23 August. This credit has yet to be received.

The surprisingly luxurious and spacious room at a very affordable price. Excellent bathroom with luxurious amenities. Dining on the terrace of the Bistrot was a most pleasant experience, top quality food at reasonable prices, and friendly service. More than sufficient on- property free parking space.

The lack of smoking rooms. Cigarette buts are all over the roof below the room windows, why do hoteliers frustrate smoking guests?

The service is excellent. The location is excellent. We walked to the main "downtown" area (pedestrian friendly). This was a transitional stop so we just stayed for 1 night. Parking is included (nice option) Breakfast is not 30 euros (15 pp) Costly for a family of 4. We were unable to use the spa (not enough time) but looked amazing. Must be 16 year to use hot tub (our kids were not impressed 11 and 9 yrs old) The pool is tiny.. just mainly too cool off, but lovely none the less. The room was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast is not included and cost 15 europs pp (children are free) Great if you are on business and can expense it .. not when you can purchase a coffer and croissant for 5 euros 5 minutes away. Pool is tiny and more for just a dip.. not a length pool. In the middle of August it was perfect.

The Hotel seemed geared to business people , we had to unload and carry our own luggage , no Porter . Our air conditioning began to leak and we were required to move rooms and again did so without assistance . On paying the bill my card was placed in the terminal before I had actually been shown the bill and I was unable to question this because the Receptionist had taken a phone call and by the time this was resolved the transaction "timed out" and my card was then declined. We were on a touring holiday and Montauban was a 2 day stopover , which we now regret.

Comfortable room - facilities adequate. Spa treatment was wonderful - separate bill from hotel. Breakfast on your terrace "overlooking the river" was a myth - terrace overlooked a canvas roofing the river was not visable. But the breakfast was good - although both mornings the order was not as ordered, but enjoyable. Wifi was available in the lobby area and there was a computer available for guests use.

Quiet, relaxed atmosphere steeped in history. Excellent food, although expensive. Staff friendly and efficient.

Unfortunately, one of the rooms we had booked Room 210 had a "drain problem" and although we could not be moved as hotel full we were given a complimentary breakfast for 4, which was a saving of 60 euros.

Great cost/benefit! Will come back for sure.

No negative comments at all really excellent hotel. Maybe tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms would be a nice touch.

Friendliness and efficiency of staff, spaciousness of rooms, modern bathroom. Very convenient, if you need a good hotel to start your barging trip in Montauban. Service in the bistro on the Sunday evening was also good. Breakfast was also good.

Only glasses of wine available on room service menu - no bottles! Gym (in spa) opened late at 0900. Most people like to exercise early and get it over with for the day. Gym being in basement was too hot!
