Lercio Vecchio tutto Lavandino intoppato 'No schifo unico Keep away your health will thank you. Really bad experience for the structure really old and dirty
Very helpful and nice staff, excellent location - 2 blocks from the Festival Palace, french balcony, clean, a very good value for not-so-big money
room was very narrow
Service, service, service! I travel a great deal (over 3 months out of the year). For me, it's not about the place, but about the people. And I could not have asked for a more friendly, comfortable couple running this charming, old hotel in downtown Cannes. They made my stay above and beyond pleasant by going out of their way to help me every time I asked. And the breakfast was outstanding for such a price!
Here is a list of things my wife would say were not to her liking. I tell you these, not because they were important to me, but I know they are important to many others: No air conditioning (not critical in October), no elevator (good for the health), bathroom tiny and hard to maneuver climbing over bidet to get to toilet, shutters old and crumbling (simply charming), general decor (but hey, I'm a guy), not romantic (probably a good thing since I was traveling without my wife).
Excellent staff so helpful. Good value. Close to everything. Restaurants next door. Walk to beaches, markets, everything.
Had few flights stairs but is old building.
As we reached reception we were welcomed by one of the owners, who with her husband seems to do everything at the hotel. At least one of the two was always on hand to recommend restaurants, advise on transport and the best beaches, lend beach towels and parasols and talk about Cannes. They made us feel completely at home and we stayed a day longer than planned.
Though the room and bathroom were very clean, there were a few things that could be better maintained.
- Location - The friendly and always available staff/ owners - with nice tips and ready to give you hand with schedulles, prices, ... - The rooms are not big, but are cozy - Good relation price quality for Cannes standards.
The hotel owner is WONDERFUL. Very friendly, has an encyclopedic knowledge about Cannes and nearby attractions, and he makes thoughtful recommendations perfectly tailored to your family's interests.
It's an old building, so if you want modern & luxury fixtures this isn't the place for you. But the building has a lot of history and is very charming, even if the plumbing is a little worn.
Great location & really friendly staff.
perfect location (close to train station, walking distance to everywhere), extremely friendly and helpful staff, good wi-fi, clean room, overall good value for money, also I appreciated a small balcony with a street view.
there is only one shower to be shared between all rooms and one shared toilet per floor, also my single room was extremely compact - wasn't a big issue for me, just letting others know
Location,good wi-fi connection.
Well,I think they shouldn't use "hotel" in the name because it is not hotel standard.
My partner and her daughter and I stayed at Hotel Cybelle for one night... Although we would have been happy to stay for more. We just needed a place near the train station. Although there were lots of stairs, being an old building and all...once we got settled it was a very pleasant place to stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and extremely friendly... It was like staying with family. The room was small but very clean and the hotel is well maintained. An excellent option if you're on a tight budget but want to be in the middle of it all!! The train station is also ridiculously close... Lots of trains to other beautiful places on the rivera. I highly recommend it if you are an easy going traveler.
The owners are lovely people! Very clean and has everything you need!
The efficiency of the husband-wife team who do everything.
I liked everything. It is a very nice little hotel.
Hotel Cybelle is really lovely! It was perfect for me as I was travelling by myself. The lady (mina perhaps?) was very sweet and gave great advice as to what to do in my short stay. I was only there for an afternoon and night. The location is great as it's just down a side street across from the train station. The breakfast was good, mine wasn't included but was worth the €7 (typical French breakfast;nectarine, crossiant, baguette, coffee and juice). My room had a very comfortable double bed as well as a basin and mirror and a sweet balcony over looking the street. I didn't find it loud at all! Shower and loo were communal but that was no problem as they were very close by and I didn't see any other guests. I'd happily stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel.
The place was a little shabby as it's more of a 1 or 2 star hotel. There was no lift so if you were up on the second or third floor this might be a hassle. There was no air con only a ceiling mounted fan but that was fine for me as I kept the window open but shutters closed. Overall It really is a great place
Lovely owners, thy were both incredibly helpful-Thankyou! Location was also brilliant, right by station and very close to centre and beach. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice host, always ready to help and give advices. The pricing is fair, we didn't expect to have a TV for 25€/night/person The location is excellent, 1min from Cannes train station and 3min from the Croisette and the beach.
Really nice staff, kind and happy to help the guests!
I wish we could stay longer
It is a clean centrally located place. excellent value and the hosts are friendly and helpful.
he doorbell. always ringing for nothing.
The owners really make this place special. I was booking at late notice for a trip to the Cannes film festival when hotel prices are extremely high and had little hope of finding anywhere in the centre of town when I found this absolute gem. I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and would be hard pressed to find staff as friendly, welcoming and helpful as the owners of the Cybelle. It's important to read the hotel description and understand what this hotel is and is not. Many of the negative reviews are from people who did not understand what a zero star hotel is, some of the rooms do not have en suite bathrooms etc. However I found this a tiny compromise, the shared bathroom I had was only feet from my door, both it and the shower room were always clean and I didnt have to wait to use them once. The location is perfect for the centre of town, mere feet away from the station and just off Rue D'Antibes. Room was comfortable and clean and the owners go out of their way to make you feel safe and welcome. Nothing seemed to be any effort. I will be returning to stay here for sure.
Nothing. The accommodation was exactly as advertised and my stay far exceeded my expectations.
The lovely staff will really look after you, the hotel feels very homely and safe. No frills but just what is needed for a quick visit to Cannes (the Palais is 5mins walk away - making this an ideal choice for the Film Festival) Wifi was working well... simply pleasant really!
I was particularly well-impressed by the kindness of the staff at Hotel Cybelle. The hotel is right in front of the train station and has unpretentious but comfortable rooms.
