Value Comfortable bed
Elevator is for one person and one suitcase, or for two people and no baggage. Washrooms are a bit confusing. For the rooms that did not have private bathrooms, you had to share one toilet per each floor.
Smell of paint.
no toilet in the room, not stated clearly
Its closeness to the gare SNCF It is close to the centre of city. The staff were helpful and courteous The room was a good size and clean Good value for room.
There was noise outside in the centre - some sort of street party with loud music. But this was beyond anyone's control inc.hotel. Probably a normal Friday night event. The breakfast was very small for the €7 I paid.
The location is very good, especially for access to the train station. A lift is handy. Reception competent and polite enougth. decent Wi-FI.
Someone silenced the screams for a lick of paint this once clearly stunning building had. Now hints of mold and all around uncleanliness peep out from behind the shabby wallpaper. Punching way above its weight at €70 a night for two cots. Really needs investing a bit of time and a weeks worth of rental intake to give the place a bit of an update.
Perfect location in montpellier. Surrounded by amazing restaurants, bars and beautiful squares but this says more about the city than the hotel.
The most unclean place I have ever stayed. Budget hotel shouldn't mean dirty rooms and unfriendly staff. Rude reception staff, yellow stained walls, stuffing hanging out of the mattress and bed, not to mention the inches of dirt everywhere. Worst breakfast ever, at €7 for a coffee, croissant and stale bread roll.
The possition of the hotel was great for the town center
The dirty dark corridors The not bothered staff the worn carpets the fact of sharing w.c
We booked this through booking.com at very short notice and were pleased to find anything so central. We had a large room with very high ceiling and a small balcony. Comfortable enough.
Drunks on the street shouting at each other in the middle of the night. The hotel is in the entertainment area so perhaps this wasn't surprising.
Great location, very friendly French speaking staff, good WiFi
Very warm with windows closed, very noisy with windows open. Broken furniture. A little smelly.
Good location Good price
No A/C - very hot in the summer No luxuries - feels similar to a hostel
Très bien situé Chambre sur cour Bon marché
location and was clean. staff frienly.
no toilet in room, but there was a shower.
Location was perfect, very easy from train station, trams at your door
We stayed here in July and found it very uncomfortable, far too hot in rooms to sleep as no air con or a fan even, bathroom window opens to a square outer space which you either smell the smokers or the noise, room window did little in letting air in. Bed very hard and gave us both sore backs, the bath is made for dwarfs and the shower can not be hooked up to use as a 'shower'!!
I'd like to recommend this hotel cause it's pretty close to everything importante in Montpellier!
It's not so clean and organized
The Location - close to the railway station and Place de Comedie
Decor rather dated
Mould in the bathroom
Staff Room was clean Value for money Location
No fan or air con 40 plus stairs to room Tired and shabby room
Very nice hotel in an old building with large rooms and corridors, renovated to standards of the 70ies/80ies (plus reliable wireless internet later), yet very clean and recently painted. Seems to be family driven and the grandma sings with the radio when making breakfast in the morning. I cannot remember having been served my breakfast faster in my entire life. Tramway and central place are just down the stairs, everything else in footwalk distance, and if you committed the error to come by car to Montpellier, you get a special "congress" tariff ticket from the hotel for the underground area "Parking Comédie" (24/7) for several days with as many exits/entries as you need.
It is not very clear how to choose the right parking lot and due to the ongoing constructions (summer 2014), GPS is useless and misleading. Room is tidy and clean, but window towards backyard.
My friend and I only stayed one night but were very pleased with the size of the room and the bathroom. The location was great being close to the railway station and the central plaza and many restaurants. Good value for money.
WC outside the bedroom
Perfect location and great relation cost quality.
Not the cleanest place ever, but it's fair seen the price. Breakfast too expensive.
The room was smelly and poor. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small and the shower malfunctioning.
Great location. Good value for money.
Had to go up the stairs to the 4th floor for our room. Not nice if having a big suitcase.
Basic hotel, spotlessly clean great for a base, staff helpful. Perfect location for the town and railway to explore the area. It's great value.
The location is perfect for those who travel by train as it is not far from the main railway station and two steps to the Old town! Everything was good! Merci!
