We have stayed at there several times and is our hotel of choice when passing through Roscoff. We like the old fashioned decor and ambience but above all, the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. The hotel is situated on a quiet street but conveniently positioned to be within easy walking distance of the town centre,
Old world style but confortable Accomodation
Bedroom Decor needs a facelift!
Cleanliness, helpful staff, great bed
The lack of curtains although not overlooked
The welcome. Outside parking.
Shower not good. Lots of stairs.
location and old world feel
noise, poor shower which did not drain, and sink was also partially blocked hugely expensive buffet breakfast which was not actually a buffet as advertised and was low quality. thin walled rooms, disturbed my TV and conversations around us into the night
Staff were friendly and helpful. Simple unfussy accommodation but very traditional - we were sorry not to be able to stay for breakfast as we needed to catch ferry back to Plymouth.
Plumbing was a bit noisy and water took a long time to run hot. Shower door didn't close properly.
comfy bed, good location, friendly welcome, nice breakfast.
dated decor, rickety stairs to second floor!
Good welcome room on ground floor excellent for two 85 year olds. Parking close to the hotel
Delightful old 17 century building with peaceful & spacious garden. Large rooms with antique furniture. Nice fresh food. Location in the centre of Roscoff near to the church.
view of the lovely period dining room and grounds
a little tired, but handy place for travellers arriving Roscoff. needs TLC anyone want to invest for new century?
Position was lovely. Historical building. Breakfast was good if not spectacular. Price reasonable and proprietor friendly. Excellent wi fi in public areas but not in bedroom.
Room very shabby and damp patches evident. Corridor smelled very damp and musty. Hasn't been decorated for many years. No tea or coffee. Furniture consisted of two chairs and bedside table ( all mismatched and very tired. Plumbing appallingly noisy with pipes banging every time taps turned, shower used or toilets flushed. Very poor sound insulation so that every footfall and conversation next door or above could be heard. No view at all from room Very disappointing!
Central location in Roscoff
Shower door didn't close
Pleasant staff and nice recpetion and dining room
No parking and bedroom was only just about adequate. Damp on the walls and condensation on the windows along with being very poorly decorated, in need of a complete refurb.
The hotel has a pleasant old feel to it but at the same time offers all that's needed.
The rooms are a bit dated and the bathrooms are small.
Very pleasant, friendly and accommodating proprietress in a traditional hotel. Good-sized room for three of us, with en-suite in turret of the stone building, and shower/bathroom next door. Ideal location very near centre of Roscoff, but not busy.
Friendly staff Excellant location Plenty of parking Quiet Comfortable bed
Stepping up into shower Decor could do with refreshing
Everything else, pretty awfull and expensive better off with a formula une or Travelodge or a tent!
Ambience of the place and the friendliness of the staff
Bathroom ensuite would have been good.
This hotel is in desperate need of modernisation.
Faded elegance, old furniture and paintings, delightful. Spotlessly clean white bed linen, and wonderful jams with breakfast.
The pleasant and helpful welcome from the lady owner. The hotel is not particularly modern but has a charm of its own and the street outside was very quiet. My room was large, airy and sunny. The location for the pleasant town and coastline of Roscoff couldn't be bettered.
I stayed on a Sunday and evening meals were not being served generally. Not really a problem because there are numerous restaurants in close proximity.
Proprieters helpful. Large public car park nearby (free). Meals available. Short walk to town centre. Interesting old building and furniture.
Sadly, the building is in need of quite a lot of repair and maintenance. My bed was not at all comfortable (room 23). No curtains but outside shutters, a little difficault to access due to window jambing. Disturbed night by snoring from adjacent room.
We had two rooms, as travelling with elderly parents. The rooms were dirty, particularly the ensuites, so much so we did not feel inclined to shower in them. Paint was peeling off the walls, and there was also mould on some. My parents and sisters bedding whilst clean was damp.
The duty manager
The shower cubicle-dirty and broken. The shower head would not stay up the pole. The handle (needed to pull you in because it was high off the normal floor) wad broken. It needs a lot of money spent on it.
Quiet traditional hotel in an interesting area of Roscoff. Short walk to the beautiful sea front with shops and restaurants. Light airy room provided relief from the heat of the day and overlooked gardens. Perfect for our overnight stay prior to catching ferry
Nothing to dislike.
