the bathroom- the service the reception/lounge the welcome cocktail the staff -friendly and professional the cuisine the breakfast the lift the decor the availability of parking

the bedroom had no comfortable chair- the room was small

Room was large and airy. Restaurant and food very good. All staff pleasant and helpful.

Hotel was very clean, had a real lovely welcome, even a welcome drink, staff were first class in particular the lady in reception she was amazing, made us fell like valued guests, thank you for that

The weather, but I am sure the staff would have tried to change that if the could!!!!

Friendly staff and clean hotel.

Lack of ironing facility. Solo business traveller staying for one night - unable to iron a shirt for an important business meeting the next day! I would recommend an ironing room with a DIY iron if irons in the rooms are not permitted.

From the time we arrived the staff could not have done more to welcome and take care of us.

Brasserie was an excellent addition since our last visit.

Dining staff except the maitre d and young maitre d in Brasserie, were remarkably surly and unwelcoming. One waitress even spilt champagne when pouring more and did not apologise or offer to replace it. Wine and Champagne were ludicrously priced.The rooms and facilities not up to Relais Chateaux standards.

We have stayed at the Angleterre many times en route to other countries, and so we must enjoy our stay there very much.

The restaurant was first class. Each dish was expertly prepared and full of flavour. A true gourmet experience.

The wine list in the fine dining resto was a bit pricey.

We had a fabulous weekend staying at the Hotel d'Angleterre. The location is ideal and all the staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends.

Friendly, helpful staff who spoke good English Choice of 2 restaurants, one gourmet and the other a bistro, serving good food but expensive Good buffet breakfast Centrally located so well-placed for sight-seeing and shopping

For the price, the bedroom was rather basic and disappointing. It was very hot and stuffy at night with the shutters closed. As it was on the front of the hotel, the alternative was constant traffic noise The hotel car park was very small and extremely difficult to maneoevre

The food was excellent and good value in the brasserie. The staff were helpful and friendly. At the reduced room rate of €90 the accomodation was good value.

The bedroom decor was a bit gloomy. No carpets and a cold floor didn't help.

A warm welcome,good comfortable bed ,very quiet. A charming helpful waiter and delicious food , although rather too rich,Would have liked some grapes or caramelised apples with the fois gras to counteract the richness

From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They made us feel welcome from the start. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom with its jacuzzi bath and marble tiles was lovely. The evening meal we had in the restaurant was excellent and again the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Would have been nice to have coffe/tea making facilities but that was minor compared to all of the good things about this hotel.

We have stayed there on several previous occasions as it is a convenient stopover point en route to the Alps. Great restaurant

Food normally excellent. This time we found each course was good on its own but the combination of courses was too rich.

It was a nice surprise to find that the hotel has both a gourmet restaurant and a brasserie. All the more so since I arrived at the hotel at 9PM in a cold and depressing autumn night, when Chalons appeared to be almost fully closed for the night and very uninviting. The hotel staff was exceptionally nice, kind and efficient.

The décor in the room is a bit dated.

I was lucky with parking, but can imagine great difficulty at peak times!

We have stayed before and will again for longer next time.the hotel is great in all respects, location,cost,food,comfort,and staff . A great place.

Very comfartable hotel with friendly English speaking staff, has secure parking and excellent restaurant. Good half way stopover for travelling to Switzerland.

I found it a little difficult to locate but was probably having Sat Nav problems.

The room was well appointed and spacious. The service of the staff was accommodating although we had some difficulty on first arrival.

On arrival we were advised that there was no room in either the restaurant or thebrasserie although empty tables were evident. We were also advised that room service was not an option nor could they offer a sandwich. We expressed our displeasure and by the time we arrived at our room we were told that room service was available and we were provided with a good meal.
