Great Hotel with a lot of character - small rooms abd a bit dated but a great place for a night or two as a base for exploring the normandy beaches etc. Missing a bar. |

The location was excellent, within walking distance of the city centre but still quiet. The hotel staff was pleasant and spoke excellent English. The Saturday morning open air market across from the hotel was delightful. |

We were especially grateful to the staff; all were very helpful and gracious, all spoke English. Rooms were charming, well appointed. Lobby is attractive. I suspect that the garden is magnificent in season (we were there in November). The tapestries were a short walk from the hotel. While not having a shower was fine for my daughter and I, some may find the lack of a shower a negative. |

Quiet central location close to the shops/restuarants with clean spacious rooms. Courteous staff and substantial buffet breakfast. In November it was nice to have radiators in the rooms (to dry wet clothes !!) that were actually on in am/pm. Best feature though was private/enclosed garage to park car (€3/day) which was great when loading/unloading car when weather was raining. |

The central convenience of the central location, and the pleasant staff along with the quaintness and the 'peculiarities' made this historic inn very delightful. Ask for 'Rene' if you are looking for a guide to Normandy! Not all rooms have 'American' showers. |

Convenient for the centre of Bayeux, & was only approx 90 mins. from the ferry port at Cherbourg. We stayed in the annex & although the outside of the hotel was impressive, maybe the rooms appeared a bit " tired". |

Good friendly staff, room was pleasant and quite large (unusual for a French Hotel) bed comfortable and room beautifully clean. This is not a Hotel it is more like a guest house there is no proper bar, or restaurant you would expect this in a 3 star Hotel which makes it very expensive. which is a shame because the place is a nice, sold for what it would be a good place to stay |

Excellently located on a main street in the heart of the city, the hotel property is entered through an archway which leads to a lovely chateau-style building with courtyards and gardens. Obviously converted from an opulent single family home, the reception area and adjoining sitting room exuded old world charm. Our room was very clean, we had a huge bathroom, and we appreciated the secure on-site parking. The staff was friendly and helpful. All the shortcomings were minor and did not greatly detract from our enjoyment. That said, the bed was a bit hard and, although adequate, the bedding was hardly luxurious. The room could use better lighting, a little on the dark side. I expected to find WiFi internet access and was disappointed to find that access was via wire and required being tethered to the single wall outlet. We had requested a room with a shower but our room had a tub and a handheld shower. Maybe by European standards, that is a shower. |

The hotel was beautiful and immaculate. It was built in the 1600's yet well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. bathrooms were large and very clean. The common areas looked like a castle. |

The location is excellent and the staff is very helpful. The building itself is charming and the setting is romantic. The parking area is easily accessed but hidden from the rooms. The facilities in the rooms are a bit too Spartan for the price, e.g., no washcloths or tissues were provided. |
