The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay. Prefer it had A/C. But it was unusually hot for the region and the staff was able to produce fans, which made it passingly comfortable despite the weather. |

Nice feel to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Would have preferred a full shower rather than a bath with shower. No Internet connecdtion in our room. |

The hotel was simple and clean and the staff were friendly The car park entrance/exit is so tight we damaged our car getting in and out. If you have anything bigger than a small car dont use the car park. |

The location is excellent--close to restaurants, city center, major attractions, laundromat and grocery store. The lobby is modern and renovated and the rooms are attractively decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was no night staff on duty during the two nights of our stay. After 10:00 pm we had to enter the back door of the hotel using a security code. On our last night there were very noisy people in the room across the hall and there was no security to call for assistance. We were kept up by noise most of the night. Also the wifi did not extend into our room. The hotel information suggested that internet was available from our room and it was only available in some rooms and the lobby. |

good location in walking distance to shops and sights. room nicely decorated in period style desk clerk was not helpful concerning getting a taxi to train station. our party had to walk/run to station and barely made the train. clerk could have told us the station was only a ten minute walk before we waited an hour for the taxi so we could have made the walk in a leasurely manner. |

The Receptionist Frederic spoke English and that was a tremendous help when a doctor's appointment ran late in Germany and we were not going to make it to Rouen, France before the Front Desk closed. We called from the road, he left excellent instructions for my husband on how to get enter the hotel and get our key at 1am when we finally arrived. You could not ask for better customer service!!! If you are placed on the 1st floor, be prepared for steep wooden but carpeted stairs. If you are older or have trouble with your knees, definitely ask for another floor! We were just grateful to have arrived that we did not mind. |

If you want to be in the heart of Rouen this is a great hotel. In the medeavil town and near the cathedral it is a great location. However it is decrepit. Do not be fooled by the boutique style front. Inside it is a seventies nightmare. Horrible carpets and soft bouncy old beds. Also it seems to be in the heart of the red light district. This may not be true but it has that feel. Beds need replacing. A pubic hair in the horrible blue bathroom. |

The instructions regarding the use of the bollard system to access the road leading to the hotel for a car were incomplete and caused unnecessary stress. In addition to using the speaker system to advise that the user is heading for the Hotel Dandy, the user needs to press down on the bollards for them to lower to road level so that the car can pass. |

Friendliness of the staff, central location, comfortable room. Quite a noisy building - other guests could be heard easily. |

Nice hotel close to the center. Possible to reserve a parking spot in advance in a safe indoor parking garage. The person at the reception did not speak very good English. We stayed at the top floor (under the roof) and the bathroom was clean but quite old fashioned, athough theroom was nice and romantic. |

The hotel staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much for them, even sending out for extra pain au chocolat at breakfast. All spoke English very well and were very patient. If you stay at the front of the hotel, it is very noisy, unfortunately the students were protesting whilst we were there, until all hours! The hotel could provide either air conditioning as you need the windows open as it was very close. Or, provide ear plugs!!! |

Location was ok. Staff was friendly. Filthy, filthy carpet. Small room. Smelly bathroom (70's fixtures). Noise from the street. This hotel is not deserving of its 3 star rating. Best to avoid. |

A warm welcome from friendly staff - unobtrusvely attentive. The secure parking in central Rouen was a real bonus. Room full of French character and spacious. Close to a variety of restaurants on a pedestrianised cobbled street leading to the Vieu Marche. Lively but somewhat noisy central location for a mature couple - just city living! Completely outweighed by the plus/ benefits of the location and excellent staff. |
