Bed, shower and location (2 min from metro Place de Clichy)
How near to a main metro station it was, place de clichy, the 24 hour system was very good.
The only problem was safety, the fact you have to give your key back raises suspicion, and I felt that anyone could just walk in, ask for a room number as if they had been staying there and then get into your room.
This hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms in central Paris at an affordable price. One of the best options in its price range. I would definitely go back there.
Bathroom doors are thin and flimsy so don't expect much privacy when you go in there.
Good location, next to the metro station, close to Montmartre, easy access to cdg airport and all major city attractions. There are lots of bakeries, restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets etc. in the neighborhood, even a bookstore. Free wi-fi. Small, but newly renovated rooms and bathrooms, adequately equipped. Spotlessly clean rooms. Fresh towels daily. Friendly personnel. Unfortunately, we had a really bad incident with the night receptionist. Free nespresso capsules (compatible, great french tastes) to prepare your own coffee in the dining room.
Small, filthy-looking and dangerously trembling lift. No service elevator, so while used by the personnel, you just have to wait. Free access of kitchen and dining room equipment are convenient, but they give an impression of bootcamp. The night receptionist was very rude and unprofessional when the door handle of our bathroom cabin was detached. He scolded us as if we were some 10-olds who broke a window with their ball, saying "Please, you have to be careful with the handles!". When he brought the subject up again, I asked him "Do you think we were responsible for the damage, that we pulled the handle out or we punched it?". He replied "I don't know, Madam, I 've seen things ...". I said "Well, I think that telling us that you don't know if it was our fault is really impolite". Then he said "C' est la VIE!". To make things worse, after we left, the hotel mistakenly reported to booking.com that we had cancelled our reservation and did not stay there. It is only fair to suspect that this was not an innocent mistake, but an attempt to block us from reporting his behavior, but then again, who knows?
Near to Metro Polite staff Good value Nice rooms
Location, friendly staff, cleanliness
there was a bit cold in the room
- Hotel is basic but very clean, modern bathroom, great window shutters and comfy bed. Loads of character. - Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. - The area is perfect to explore Paris, close to Place du Clichy metro station and walk to Montmatre.
- I liked everything.
The room was very clean and staff was helpful also we like the location it is very close to Montmartre and near the metro station.
Staff were superb - we were made welcome from start to finish. Beds super. Kitchen great. Rooms small but it all works really well. Best value budget hotel in a long time.
Can't think of anything.
Good dining room which you could bring your own food to. Excellent quality free tea and coffee. Close to supermarket and patisserie. Also was close to restaurants and metro. Extremely clean but basic rooms.
Not enough rubbish facilities, needed one in the dining room. Not as good value as other hotels we have stayed at in other cities but this may just reflect Paris prices.
The hotel provides free capsule coffee and tee. (You have to brew it by youselves, of course.) It also have a small kitchen with a refrigerator for preparing simple meals like sandwich.
Pillows are too soft and will leave you a sore neck.
very nice hotel with a good localization, lots of restaurants and markets nearby. staff is nice and speak English. the room was very clean, housekeeping was done everyday including changing of towels (which for a two star hotel is very rare). generally very nice and I would recommend.
there was a common balcony with entrance to everybody just by the window which made privacy in the room very poor so we had to have the curtains closed at all time, plus guests were coming out there for a cigarette even at midnight which was very annoying to me. hotel staff should lock the entrance by 10pm IMHO. so if I was to get back to the hotel i would insist on not having room number 3.
Good value, very helpful staff who spoke English. Room was pretty bare bones, but did include our own bathroom/shower. I didn't intend to spend much time in the room during this trip, so that was all fine. Location was great--not in a super touristy area but very close to the metro.
Location was brilliant, easy to reach anywhere in paris, a few minutes walk to Place de Clichy metro. bedrooms basic but clean.
No breakfast facilities and some member of staffs pretty unhelpful about where to get breakfast, particulalry on monday when the boulangerie across the road was closed.
My stay was very enjoyable. Staff and hotel accommodations were excellent. The location was close to restaurants, sights and parks.
Clean and good location
Can't conect wifi in mid night
It wasn't a shoebox. The room was quite spacious.
It was a bit noisy, but it is in a big city so that is to be expected.
Staff was very helpful and provided lots of information. Looking forward to our next stay.
excellent wifi compared to other places in Paris (working, stable, without annoying web login) friendly staff clean rooms, somehow bigger than average Paris hotel room funny way to serve breakfast (free tea & coffee and nothing else, but there is a charming and not expensive bakery across the street into which you are encouraged to go and bring stuff back to eat with your tea)
Rooms were clean, staff polite and helpful. Free Wifi and use of Safebox.
Heating control in the room didn't seem to work however the hotel was warm enough anyway.
We love the location...its near the train station, near a laundry shop, restaurants and bakeries. We will definitely recommend to friends.
Very nice small hotel nearby the metro station Place De Clichy. Pleasant and friendly personnel, good location [it's located closely to Montmartre district and cemetery, not so far from Sacré-Cœur Basilica and Moulin Rouge], moderate costs
Our beds were slightly too stiff
Situated in Montmartre (Our favourite area in paris) close to Place de Clichy metro. Clean, newly renovated rooms (bit on the small side, but comfortable). Nothing to complain about, an honestly run small hotel. Would definitely recommend to friends
Friendliness of staff, nothing was too much trouble. room was warm, extremely clean and roomy for a Hotel in that price range. wonderful shower, could not fault it. tea and coffee facilities were extremely convenient as bakery was just across the street, so that was breakfast dealt with. will certainly stay there on our next visit.
