beautiful old building and very comfortable apartments with impressive gardens.Staff were all very helpful and made me feel very welcome.
For business travellers attending shows at the Palais, it is a little too far to walk. 10 minutes to Martinez and 20 minutes to Palais.
Beautiful building and great location with everything you need on the doorstep - supermarket, boulangerie and bus stop with great bus service. Staff friendly and helpful.
Apartment smelt of damp and had signs of damp. If that was rectified it would be a great place. You do need to call to arrange check in and check out which was ok for me but would not suit other travellers. It would be better if they had a key drop box for check out so you don't have to make arrangements to meet the staff.
Very nice place with beautiful garden. Just 10 minutes to plage and main street of restaurants and shoping. Clean, nice stuff. Good price.
Interesting place, the building has historical value, close to the center of Cannes. Appartements are big, spacy, stylish. Bedrooms are with big beds, wardrobes, chandeliers. Kitchen is modern, useful, bathrooms are modern. We were on the first floor, and had a big terrace with a view to the private park, nice for breakfast , lunch, dinner. There is private parking, so you can park your car. I strongly recommend the place!
The two bedroom were almost open to each other hardly discreet. The kitchen had a lack of coffee cups which would fit under the coffee making machine and there was a general lack of cutlery and no teatowels for drying up.
Large appartment, free car park Carrefour City Market at 100 m
large luxury space, beautiful interiors, sunny big terrace overlooking gardens, very close to croisette beach, apartment owners very nice and helpful, safe area, great for a family or group of friends
Location was good (5 to 10 minutes to the beach) and parking was included, thinks that were on our wishlist. The building it's from 15th century, at least that's we were told t arrival. I really liked that. From outside it really looked like a big chateau with nice garden.
First think that hit me when i open the door was the smell of ash pot, even if we requested a non smoking room. The apartment was quite big, kitchen and bathroom well equipped but it was dirty. It seems that cleaning was not done properly and the kitchen was a disaster. Cooking stove looked like it wasn't clean over a year. Conclusion is that it didn't gave me the feeling of unpacking my stuff there, it felt uncomfortable. For me it's important to have a clean and fresh room, so i wont recommend it.
No wifi through our entire stay of 3 days
If, like me, you put beautiful, characterful, period buildings ahead of the latest mod cons when you travel then this place is the spot for you. It's been a hotel, hospital, hotel again and finally private apartments. The lift ought to be preserved in a museum - it's a work of art in itself.
Lack of reception is a bit of a fiddle - need to make sure you have the ability to phone the agent when you arrive to have them come and meet you.
- location, near to the beach and to the Palm Beach, - apartaments has different standard, but we have used two and it was totaly enough for holiday, - ladies from the apartaments' office are very nice and helpful :) - there are: dishwasher, frige, kichen with needed tools, tv, wifi, elevator, parking - this is very important in Cannes, - there are few good shops in the area, - very good price for Cannes and very good standard for that price, - we absolutely recommend this place to everyone!!!
The location was ok and sufficient
We came from Germany by car, so the trip was very long. Due to traffic james, we informed the owner of our late arrival. We had to pay extra € 60 for late arrival fee.
Location, staff, amazing archiecture
Facilities are very basic. It hurt a bit to see the garden that needed lots of work and water
They saw that I had booked the smallest studio (where toilet/shower were outside the studio which I didn't know) and upgraded me to a one-bedroom flat, great! It was clean and reasonably furnished with rather miscellaneous stuff! They waived the 40e charge for late arrival (9 p.m.) as somebody came about 9.45 only after several phone calls!
Noise from street and from trains - railroad perhaps 100 meters from the building. Couldn't get wifi to work on my phone, neither could my British friend on his as he came into the flat to try it.
Apartment roomy, not far from beach/ Croisette, with shops nearby, nice decor, nice spacious garden, free parking, free wifi, friendly staff.
Interior furnishings outdated e.g. gas stove, low water pressure in shower, hot water occasionally ran out, room facing main street, noisy at night, old shutters hard to close, good wifi reception only in living room, AC would help as rooms tended to get muggy despite north-facing windows.
The studios are total different from the fotos, you think you are booking something and when you get there they give you a horrible room.
Good location - near shops, restaurants, sea.
Old furniture, apartments need in repair.
The apartment was not bad even though it was mentioned in the profile it was air conditioned it was NOT. The staff was very rude and untrained. The location was far from the center.
The receptionist who his name was Ivac was very rude and not professional he was shouting at us because we were late and left us for half an hour waiting for him to bring the keys of the apartment even though we sent an e mail to him telling him our arrival time he left us on the street with an infant and baggage. He was very rude and he seemed very raciest person i wanted to call my embassy and the police because after when i asked him that he should of had the keys ready with him and never let us on dark parking for half an hour he shouted at me and refused to give me the keys. then i asked to call his manager and i told them i will call the police to investigate then he gave us the keys after his manager talked to him. Extrem and racist staff shouldnt been employed as receptionists.
The location is good and more than enough space
The door locks
The apartment was not ready when we arrived, other than showing us how to use the television, nothing else was explained. I spent 20 mins aimlessly walking around trying to find the bins the final morning. The highlighted 'American fridge freezer' did not work (we threw away ice cream) the fridge part didn't work either. It wasn't plumbed in so no water and clearly no ice. Where it was plugged in had exposed wires. The kitchen facilities were basic to say the least, no toaster, no coffee pot and an oven that we couldn't get to work ( there were no instructions). Finally none of the air conditioners remote controls worked I had to buy batteries just to make one work. Location great, value for money - nil. Not to mention the confusion over the bill. Won't go there again
location was an easy walk to the beach. nice and quiet.
the hotel seemed to be in the middle of rennovations. our room was not in the main building but up the road a little walk. picture did not exactly match the reality.
We stayed at the Apartments Alexandre III for a second time and for sure this will be the place where we'll stay every time we go to Côte d'Azur. We were quite satisfied with everything - excellent location, free parking in the yard, spacious and perfectly furnished and equipped apartments for a reasonable price. Last but not least, we were warmly and really professionally accommodated.
Beautiful old apartment building with an impressive entrance area, big staircase, old-fashioned lift, wrought-iron balconies. Free parking on-site, supermarket 5 mins away on foot, beach at La Croisette 15 minute walk away, we had a beautiful sea view and a washing machine. Wifi in the room.
No dishwasher tablets or washing powder for washing machine which is annoying if you are staying for just a few days and have to buy a big pack for just one or two uses. The photos of the apartment on booking.com were not the ones of the apartment we stayed in which had older furniture and an old carpet, not the modern luxury decor in the photo.
Terrible attitude of the staff, we had to wait for 40 minutes to be checked in, no aircon, advertised WiFi did not work at all. Would never ever go back there nor recommend it to anyone!
I had a studio apartment - it was safe, comfortable, close to the beach and a carrefour. Plenty of space! The staff were helpful and friendly.
The toilet was not in the room - you had to go down the hall to get to it. The location was about 20-25 min walk away from the center.
