The area around Gare du Nord and La Chapelle is challenging if your normal haunts are either side of the Seine, always in sight of the Louvre. Yet despite this, Hotel de Bellevue provides a most comfortable and elegant retreat from the crowded streets outside. The lobby is a pleasant space in which to read and relax. My room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and close fitting windows that kept the noise of outside out. The shower was powerful and hot. There was plenty of wardrobe space, a safe and a tv. I had a desk at which to work with free Wifi. The staff were attentive and lent me an umbrella when it rained. I visit Paris often and usually pay much much more for less comfortable hotels in smarter districts of town. This hotel deserves to be highly recommended.

The hotel was clean and well decorated and the staff were very helpful. It was in a bad area of Paris and was quite unnerving at night. However, the metro station was close by and we walked there in the morning and took a cab home at night. We also walked from the metro one night and had no problems but only brave souls should book this hotel. There were alot of sketchy people. The rooms dont look as luxurious as the photos but they are cute.

The hotel is very good. It is safe as the entrance door is always securely closed and is opened by the receptionist only when you want to come in or go out. The hotel is clean, the rooms are tidy although they are already a little shaggy, especially the bathroom. But everything is functioning. I liked the staff - very friendly, always ready to give a helping hand. I read the same when I booked the hotel and now I can confirm this. The parking lot is nearby and safe, the continental breakfast is ok. My wife and I stayed with a 10-year old daughter and liked it. Actually, we returned to the hotel for the night, so we liked it for the purpose. It is very close (maximum 3 minutes walk) to the underground and train station, so this is a very big advantage if you plan to go sightseeing in the downtown or go outside to the Disneyland parks. Of note, the area is safe, although there are a lot of immigrants from Algeria and India. These guys are very peaceful and helpful. I arrived by car at 12:30 after midnight and could not find the hotel. I saw an Algerian passing by and asked for help. He readily showed the direction. The price seems too much for the ** hotel. Although, all hotels in Paris are on the expensive side. This one is not an exception. Another disadvantage is the cleanliness of the surrounding area. Maybe, that's because of the immigrants from Algeria and India.

The room was en suite with a good shower. Beds were firm and comfortable. Hotel staff were courteous and very helpful. It was relatively inexpensive. The room was made up and cleaned daily to a good standard. The breakfast was a little dear but very good and you could have as much as you wanted. This area of Paris appeared a little rough. I would be cautious about walking to the hotel at night if I were a woman on my own, I think. As a grown man I did not feel uncomfortable and it is quite central. Having said that, the hotel itself is very secure.

The room was very warm, it was clean and quiet. The staff were helpful too. It was located very close to the metro station and a quick walk from Gard du Nord station. Breakfast was good value for money and there were supermarkets nearby should you need anythin. The area at night is a bit rough so best to stick to the main roads as much as possible. I walked from Gard du Nord station around 11pm at night and didn't feel very safe and didn't realise til later that I could have walked underground to La Chapelle from Gard du Nord.

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room, although old, was clean. It wasn't very roomy and the shower/toilet was about the size of two small cubicles but we were happy with it for the price. I would reccommend this hotel if your city break is on a tight budget ;)

The reception area was nice The area was scary and we were frightened to go out at night. The room was very basic, the bedspread was a curtain, there was a big hole in the carpet, it was damp and the shower room was basic. The full cost of the 4 night stay was taken in advance as they said that too many people were leaving after only 1 night. This meant we couldn't move to a better hotel. Breakfast was basic, cereal of rice crispies and cold rolls, there was also a runny scrambled egg! This hotel was expensive for what it was and cost a lot of money for travelling to get to/from airport.

The front desk clerk was nice. Everything..The room was dirty, the curtains filthy, the carpet disgusting and I booked a double bed and found out it was two single pushed together. The website said sound proffed but I could everything from the rooms next door. I heard a cellphone buzzing an alarm. It was a terrible stay and even when I asked to have a different room because of the noise outside the window I couldn't change. I will never recommend this hotel and plan to write a negative description on the website. I left as early as possible as it was so disturbing

The hotel itself is good, staffs are nice, breakfast room is romantic. It is easy to pull luggage to Gare de Nord to catch RER B to CGD. This is the reason why I stayed here.Just enter the M2 ( La Chapelle, using your RER airport ticket) and pull 5 mins underground. It is safe when you have to leave to airport at morning rush hour. ( although the hotel provide reasonable shuttle service.) This ares is not safe for solo woman traveler as me. Break glass at road side, weird youth groups gather together along the street. Many Muslim and Indian stores. My room is small and plain, it is ok, but the toilet area has a big hole shows all the uncovered pipes which make me feel uncomfortable. Something happened and the police car stop at the street under my window for about 15 mins at evening.
