The worst possible location; impossible to walk even during the day; Horrifying rooms from 50s Weird receptionnist asking for the card details even though you pay in advance :/ Just stay out of this zone anyway, I guess. Republique overall is of much better quality / price & only 3 station by tube!

The hotel was clean and well decorated and the staff were very helpful. It was in a bad area of Paris and was quite unnerving at night. However, the metro station was close by and we walked there in the morning and took a cab home at night. We also walked from the metro one night and had no problems but only brave souls should book this hotel. There were alot of sketchy people. The rooms dont look as luxurious as the photos but they are cute.

The area around Gare du Nord and La Chapelle is challenging if your normal haunts are either side of the Seine, always in sight of the Louvre. Yet despite this, Hotel de Bellevue provides a most comfortable and elegant retreat from the crowded streets outside. The lobby is a pleasant space in which to read and relax. My room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and close fitting windows that kept the noise of outside out. The shower was powerful and hot. There was plenty of wardrobe space, a safe and a tv. I had a desk at which to work with free Wifi. The staff were attentive and lent me an umbrella when it rained. I visit Paris often and usually pay much much more for less comfortable hotels in smarter districts of town. This hotel deserves to be highly recommended.

The room was very warm, it was clean and quiet. The staff were helpful too. It was located very close to the metro station and a quick walk from Gard du Nord station. Breakfast was good value for money and there were supermarkets nearby should you need anythin. The area at night is a bit rough so best to stick to the main roads as much as possible. I walked from Gard du Nord station around 11pm at night and didn't feel very safe and didn't realise til later that I could have walked underground to La Chapelle from Gard du Nord.

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room, although old, was clean. It wasn't very roomy and the shower/toilet was about the size of two small cubicles but we were happy with it for the price. I would reccommend this hotel if your city break is on a tight budget ;)

The reception area was nice The area was scary and we were frightened to go out at night. The room was very basic, the bedspread was a curtain, there was a big hole in the carpet, it was damp and the shower room was basic. The full cost of the 4 night stay was taken in advance as they said that too many people were leaving after only 1 night. This meant we couldn't move to a better hotel. Breakfast was basic, cereal of rice crispies and cold rolls, there was also a runny scrambled egg! This hotel was expensive for what it was and cost a lot of money for travelling to get to/from airport.

The interior is characterful and unlike any other hotel we looked at, which is why we chose it. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and, while not large, very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of offerings. The location is convenient (five minutes' walk from the Gare du Nord and two minutes from La Chappelle metro station), but seemed a bit run down and unsafe at first. After the first night there we were more comfortable - no sign of trouble at all.

The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. It is neatly located close to the metro. If you have rather low expectations (I.E. two-star hotel), then you would probably like this hotel, it is among the bests in its league. Don't expect to take a nice evening walk around the hotel as it is situated in one of the worst parts of Paris (inside the Boulevard Périphérique). The rooms are also rather small and not very clean but well, it is a cheap (relative to Paris) two-star hotel, so that is what you would expect.

The front desk clerk was nice. Everything..The room was dirty, the curtains filthy, the carpet disgusting and I booked a double bed and found out it was two single pushed together. The website said sound proffed but I could everything from the rooms next door. I heard a cellphone buzzing an alarm. It was a terrible stay and even when I asked to have a different room because of the noise outside the window I couldn't change. I will never recommend this hotel and plan to write a negative description on the website. I left as early as possible as it was so disturbing

The staff was amazing. They greeted us with a smile and were very helpful when we needed help with directions. This hotel is very close to the Gare du Nord train station. It is only about a five minute walk to the hotel. This was very helpful for us because we used the metro to go all over Paris. We also took the train from the airport into Paris at the Gare du Nord station. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was rather quiet. In the mornings we ate our breakfast at the hotel before going out for the day.
