Beautiful comfortable elegant hotel. Right in the centre of Rouen, although you wouldn't notice from inside. Great bar, especially enjoyed the artwork. Didn't use the spa facilities on this occassion so couldn't comment. Wonderful weekend in Rouen.

It looks and feels like a palace, and is steps from the best sites of old Rouen. We loved it.

Impressive from the outside and even better within with friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful bar / sitting area with a range of art to look at. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely en-suite. The spa facilities were spotless & there's a lovely pool area. The old city is literally on the doorstep waiting to be explored

What's not to like ? It's expensive but well worth it for a special occasion. Located on the edge of a pedestrian precinct some instructions about where to park on arrival would have been useful.

Nice hotel in a very idyllic historical building. Nice spacious rooms.

Location and building were excellent and I am sure in the summer the courtyard would have been buzzing. The pool was very good and the room we ended up in was spacious.

We stayed just after new year and clearly they were on go slow. The Hammam and sauna were not open when the pool was which irritated and the nicer restaurant was only open 2 evenings a week. We had to move room as the 'modern' room didn't have wifi at all and the rest of the hotel wouldn't allow us to sync emails for some reason. Breakfast was expensive and as. 5 star hotel I would say it didn't match up to 5 star standards of service and ambience (which was a little cold)

A great site with its medieval style.

It's not a 5 stars. The swimming pool was cold and the hammam small. You need to enter the fitness room half dressed to go to the sauna. The modern room air conditioning is a catastrophe and we had to change of room as it was completely humid

Lovely room. Good clean bathroom with separate shower inset room style (shame the bath water ran tepid even though basin and shower water was hot) Very helpful staff in reception and concierge Welcoming breakfast with plenty of options although pricey

Very nice building and deco. Same for the swimming pool area, very nicely done, with taste.

Very disapointed as the VMC (ventilation) in our bedroom was like sleeping next to an engine. We asked to change bedroom and they did not seem surprise when we told them why. The 2nd bedroom, more traditional, less our taste, but very nice was at street level, you could hear all the cars on the pebbled street and the windows had bars. Also the pillows were much too hard which I did say but was not offered with softer one. Loved the hotel but did not sleep well at all on both night, in 2 different bedroom. Nice plexiglass seat by the pool but very incomfortable. Disapointed for the price.

A tremendous hotel in almost every sense of the word, ideally situated very well kept and luxurious too! Cannot comment on the spa as, per usual, we made no use of the facilities on offer, however, the food was to die for. From the moment we arrived we had valet service for both ourselves and our car from English speaking staff aplenty. Check in was a breeze, simple and fast due to an abundance of staff. Even if we popped out to the terrace for a cigarette there was someone with an umbrella to keep us dry during the short 20 metre walk in the open to get there.

I would suggest that the valets, or should i say "doormen/bouncers" at night should maybe chill out a little. If you are not in evening dress and just dressed casually you may struggle to get past them without showing your key card! I strolled in out of the rain on Friday night and was grabbed from behind and had to explain i was a guest. Quite a shock and a little uncalled for guys, I may have been in jeans and a T Shirt, however, i still paid the same money as everyone else and this attire on a Friday night does not disqualify you from staying in the luxury which you can afford. Funnily enough, when i was dressed to kill on Saturday night i had absolutely no problem getting access to all areas!

All staff were very friendly and fantastic central location.

The modern rooms were not what I would call 5 star and there was no wifi in the room.

It was central to historic sites and shops. Lovely historic building. Beautiful pool

We located the hotel quickly when driving into Rouen Only we could not locate the entrance as it faces onto a pedestrianised area. The staff were aware as they joked about it however in the dark and rain and the one way system it does become annoying. Our room was extremely hot. No air con as they had switched off centrally and the windows were locked which were eventually opened after a couple of requests

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the centre of town.

The hotel is very overpriced and does not have the right of a 5* hotel. I;ve stayed in many 5* hotels around the world and this one really does not deserve it. We have to wait at least 15 minutes to be served drinks during the day, the evening staff were even worse. So much, that we actually walked out.

...need urgent improvements to Internet system because ii is slow and the range does not reach room number 002 very well.

Dinning room is without atmosphere. Despite reserving a parking space[which we were asked to do] on arrival the hotel had no record of this.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of a not too great town. First night of holiday and thought I would splash out. Hotel has lovely pool and nice courtyard. Wished I had waited to book as a lot cheaper nearer my visit.

Had to park a bit away from the hotel in underground car park which was fine but walk through city past drunks, beggars, etc not very welcoming but that is more Rouen not the hotel's fault. Found hotel eventually after asking someone who was ok. Not a city I would rush back to but if you need to go there probably best hotel to stay in

It looks like a 5* It costs like a 5* But the service is a poor 4* Hard to find (in a walking precinct) Nobody to carry your bags Restaurant has poor reviews everywhere and is expensive. Staff need to be trained that the guest is most important then this would be 5*
