Very handy for a great part of Paris and comparatively good value with plenty of bistros, restaurants and cafes nearby. Only the noise late at night but if you stay in a city centre that's what you get (at the front of the building!).

The only positive aspect of the hotel is it's excellent location. We had a suite with a separate sitting area and there was step between them which we kept tripping on all the time. Our windows looked onto ugly and filty water pipes. The furniture was too large for the rooms which made circulation difficult. The lighting was awful, We couldn't see anything! The full-length mirror was inside a closet door which opened at an angle making it impossible to use. Everytime we showered, no matter how careful we were, the bathroom got soaked.

Location is very good I got the smallest room I have ever seen ,even with regard to prisen standarts. And it was an attic room. You could hardly move between the bed and the walls. And the bed was not that big either.... The receptinist was arogant and did not try to help. Only when I said I am going to give my opinion inthe internet she was willing to change the room to abigger one( after saying she soesnt have any more rooms). To charge 270!!!!! Euro for such a room with no breakfast its a rubbery. ( by the way in the site they say breakfast cost extra 18 eu ,the hotel chrges you exra 2 euro) I dont recomand this hotel to any body that is considering normal rooms with normal prices

The location of the hotel is amazing, close to the Metro and to lots of shopping stores and bars and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful in it's design and had just been renovated. The rooms are very very very small. There is no closet space at all and not even a place to open your suitcase and leave it open instead of the closet. We stayed two people for 5 nights at this microscopic room and it was very uncomfortable. The staff at the hotel were not helpful when I complained on the size of the room and just passed me over between the staff to try and speak with someone else.

Great location within walking distance to metro subway. Nice shops and restaurants around and all within walking distance. Staff service was excellent especially Gabriela. Room was small but clean and very nice, a nice boutique hotel. Will definitely stay there again when and if we go back to Paris.

Close to many of the city's main attractions, The room was small but clean with a very comfortable bed and the a/c worked great. We felt safe on the streets. The shower was a strange modern deseign with no door therefore there was water all over the place when you took a shower.

We are very frequent visitors to Paris. Paris for us is the Left bank and Buci is at the epicenter of the buzz. The staff were warm and very helpful and this was a very positive added value to our stay in Paris. Sadly we drew the short straw when it came to room allocation. Ours must have been the smallest (and to be fair - the quietest) room in the hotel. We are painfully aware that Paris hotel rooms are miniscule but this room was a shock. One wonders how the French Hotel Grading system can allocate 4 Stars to a hotel when there are rooms barely large enough to house a queen size bed with no room for side tables. Management did however offer us a larger room 3 days into our stay but we decided to stay where we were and not waste half a day packing up and moving.

The bed and linens were very luxurious. The bathroom was very nice. The style of the hotel (furnishings, wallpaper, etc) was excellent. One of the concierges on duty was not very knowledgable about local restaurants, tours, etc. We had to encourage her to go online and often we found more appropriate resources than she did. Was she new? Not very well trained. Very sweet and tried to help...just not at the professional level we expected for this quality hotel. The room was very small, but we understand that is typical for location.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location in Paris. We were not disappointed in any way and cannot express enough how enjoyable our stay here was. Excellent bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel, you could easily spend a weekend here without moving more than 200m from the hotel!

Great location, staff pleasant, decor of room charming Room really too small; don't like the "wetroom" style of the shower - its ok for one person but not if there are two.

Location was very good and Concierge was very helpful. Room was very well designed but small. The shower stall doesn't have a door which causes problems with excess water being on the main bathroom floor. Parisian hotel rooms are generally small and have minimal space for hanging clothes but that's something one has to be prepared for.

Pretty small hotel in the city but wonderful staff and decor. However, much was expected of a four star hotel. Will do good to have more english speaking staff around especially for the concierge services. We got a verge small room, perhaps the smallest of all the rooms. We were quite shocked about it but the disappointment got dwindled down over our stay in part to it's proximity to shopping and atttractions.

It was the perfect location in the heart of Saint-Germain - surrounded by cafes, shopping, and easy walking distance to many of the major sites in Paris. The room was very comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend Hotel de Buci ... and I will definitely be back!

The hotel is in a great location if you enjoy the Latin quarter. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a simple buffet breakfast which suited us fine. The room was very soundproofed. You can actually get more than one suitcase at a time into the elevator unlike the last Parisien hotel we stayed at! Free wifi was good. Our room was extremely small and we did not have enough room for both of us to unpack at the same time (we had a lot of luggage having come from a cruise). It was stuffy and we left the window wide open at night. (View was a well between us and next building) The mattress was rather hard.

I liked the location, which is very convenient. The room was clean. The staff were helpful. I had booked a "suite", but it was an attic room with insufficient lighting to read in bed! It was very expensive for what it was. It was more like a room in a three star hotel, rather than a four star.

This little boutique hotel is a real gem. The staff was so welcoming and made every effort to accommodate our needs. The room was tiny but beautifully appointed: upholstered walls, lovely light fixtures, lighted closets, a large bathroom, AC that works well and is well maintained. (I have asthma and sometimes I actually have to turn off the HVAC in hotels because I have trouble breathing). I think it's a great value for a hotel in a large city.

The location is superb. Although the streets surrounding hotel are full of action the rooms in the hotel are really very soundproofed The rooms are definitely faded. For the price one would expect a fresher look and upgraded rooms. Wifi although provided does not work well

Great location, walking distance to many attractions and Met stations. A lot of nice cafes and restaurants really close by. Hotel room was quiet and very comfortable with lovely decor and friendly helpful staff . Only one I have is the shower water everywhere needs another door to keep water in.

This was a great location in the Latin quarter, just a block from Saint Germain. There are dozens of cafes and boutique stores all around the hotel. Although the Metro is nearby, we walked everywhere from the hotel. Their rates were a little pricey but for atmosphere, proximity to food and shopping and a great introduction to Paris (our 1st visit) it worked out perfectly. Rue de Buci was an ideal street to be on. We'd go back again - no doubts.
