Perfect location in the very city center
Tiny room Old and worn furniture Badly painted walls
This hotel is in a great location in a fantastically beautiful city. The owners/staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very small but clean. The only negative is that the rooms are up very steep flights of stairs. We would stay there again.
We liked its location- close to the centre, river, tram station etc. It had a good shower and comfortable bed.
Only one thing really that we didn't like and that was the size of the room- it was rather cramped.
The hotel is situated right in the city centre, a close walk to many of the sights of the city but also very nearby a supermarket and pharmacy which is always comfortable to have. It is a small hotel with no pretensions, you shouldn't expect additional facilities but it is a good little hotel, clean and the staff were at all times polite and extremely helpful. The bathroom was well sized and very clean.
The room was slightly small, not much room around the bed and desk but not much else was needed.
Clean and bright Quiet room Excellent variety at breakfast Staff attentive, friendly and helpful
The hotel was well placed and flexible about time of arrival - we phoned to let them know we would be late.
friendly & efficient staff central position comfortable rooms
The hotel fit within my budget and was located in the city center. The rooms were tiny and the bathrooms small but I didn't spend a lot of time there. The staff were all delightful and very welcoming. I would definitely return.
The ensuite facilities were a little cramped. There is no elevator but other people mention this in their reviews so I knew to expect that.
Good position, handy to everything, pleasant helpful staff.
Location in the centre
Wifi did not work on the 3rd floor (rooms starting with 2), no elevator, no hair dryer, hear-through walls
The helpfulness of staff
Reception desk is awesome and helpful. Location is really convenient.
Wifi login is troublesome and blanket made me have nose allergy.
Location right in the center of Bordeaux!
It was small but perfect in all other ways for a short trip to Bordeaux. Clean, comfortable, good location and friendly staff.
Location was great.
No elevator. Small rooms, couldn't lay a suitcase down. The wifi makes you log in every single time your phone or iPad locked. Very annoying.
Really friendly staff and very welcoming atmosphere. Great location for exploring the city. We had a large room with a view over the street, which was perfect for me and my sister.
The toilet door didn't shut very well but we didn't mention it to the staff because it wasn't a problem for us.
Rooms were a little be tiny but to rest your head this is fine for a night . Not sure I would stay longer than 2 night as it would be be a little Cramped .
Good location, comfortable facilities, exactly as advertised.
It is not a 5 star hotel but it is exactly as they promote it. The location is perfect. The room was small but adequate. The room and hotel was clean and well-kept. The breakfast was simple but good.
There were no english stations on the TV.
The location was perfect in the city center. The hotel was clean, cosy and well-kept. The room was small, but peaceful. The atmosphere was friendly and staff helpful. I would certainly stay another time in the hotel while visiting Bordeaux, that is also a wonderful city.
That is was central
It was very noisy, room very small en-suite very very small
Staff was very nice and helpful. Shower was very practical.
Wifi connection was poor. Hope there was a mini fridge.
Staff were very helpful in getting my going with wifi. The location is superb for people who need to be in central Bordeaux. My room was big enough for one person for a very short stay; a longer stay might have been more problematic. Thanks to warnings on booking.com, I knew not to bring a large suitcase, so the stairs were not a major issue for me. Proximity of the Marché des grands hommes and the large grocery store inside is worth sharing.
Breakfast was not as complete as it could have been (lacking in variety of protein options). People should know that rue Franklin has limited access; taxis may not be able to drop off and pick up at hotel door. That the staff leaves the place at 8pm is not too cool, I think and could be problematic.
