Centrally placed in the town. Charming staff, probably the owners!
Asked for a room with a bath and didn't get one
Small boutique hotel very friendly great restaurant on site great central location
Good location to various businesses and restaurants
No bad experiences.
Typical small French style hotel. In the middle of a small village - the village where Voltaire had his Castle (still there) with café terrasse & boulangerie right across the street.., small restaurants next door. Good & cosy restaurant with beautiful Terrace right in the hôtel. Good breakfast Bus stop 5 minutes away with frequent busses into Geneva & airport
Rooms are a bit old fashîoned - but dits with the style
The location for leaving early to airport was not good it's impossible to flag taxi from there. My taxi that they called for me did not show up and ironically neither did another womans who was standing outside. Both of us were close to missing our flights as we finally arrived at airport 30 min before our flights. If Geneva airport wasn't so easy, we would have missed our flights. It took us 30 minutes of waiting outside the hotel and many phone calls to taxi company to finally get a taxi. The hotel has no one available until 730a so you are screwed if you need help before that hour. The woman that manages it is very nice but there is a man working there who I found to be very rude. Also it's a very loud hotel in terms of the walls being thin, you can hear everything. Don't have a heavy bag with you as there is no elevator! I had to lug a huge bag down three steep flights of stairs. I was just staying there for an easy place to stay close to the airport as a place to lay my head for the night. Not a great idea as it caused more stress than ease.
Restaurant food was good.
Accommodation was very basic and no lift. Restaurant was good but nothing special except the price.
The hotel is conveniently located in the pedestrian district of Ferney-Voltaire, close to the bus line to/from the airport. Renovation has preserved the historical flavor of the residence while turning it into a very comfortable and snug haven. The restaurant offers a lovely setting and exquisite food. The hosts were very helpful with tips on transportation and advance reservations for dinner.
I did wish for a small shelf to hold toiletries in the bathroom.
The location of the Hotel in Ferney and the ease of check in after hours. The rooms were very quite and warm. Bath room was excellent. Overall great stay.
Check in at 17:30 could be improved on.
We stayed for just one night on the occasion of our son's wedding locally. The central location and comfortable accommodation suited us very well. Communication with the hotel beforehand was good. We were sent the entry code to gain access on arrival and found useful information leaflets left with our room keys. The staff were very pleasant. It's a pity we had no time to eat at the hotel!
Rooms very small. Food and drinks overly expensive. Minimal guest facilities given the cost of a room. No milk for tea or coffee, or water provided. Only two teabags which seems a bit mean and indicative of the managements attitude. No tissues in the room.
Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. Comfortable bed. Apart from the problem with the cushions/pillows, the room was clean and comfortable.
The whole room smelled a little unclean. It turned out to be the cushion covers, which really need a wash. Only one thin pillow each. There was a spare in the wardrobe but that also smelt/needed a wash (and anyway, one extra pillow isn't enough for two people).
Very friendly and helpful staff
The staff who I only met via emails gave all the "warnings" ahead: need for code entry and no elevatior. They responded quickly to every question. The room is decorated in old fashioned way but clean and comfortable. The bathroom is clean, comfortable and totally modern. The location seems like the place I would like to visit again and not just as a stepping stone to Geneva.
Entry at night with the code, when the street is dark and empty, plus having a staircase and no elevator, may be difficult for some people. The morning staff spoke practically no English.
No lift Far from public transports No breakfast included Old building and furniture
Very helpful young lady at the front desk and found the needed converters when mine did not work at the hotel! The breakfasts are wonderful. The waiting staff for dinner lovely. It's too bad there is not an elevator (I'm 76 years old!) but I knew that so just valued the exercise!! Overall I totally enjoyed my stay at your hotel.
The shower was new and very nice. The hotel has historical value and is well kept. It has a very good location.
We were on the second floor and had to carry our luggage up the stairs. There is no elevator.
Restaurant/ cuisine and staff excellent.
On arrival nobody to greet the guest which felt unusual
Old world charm in delightful satellite town close to Geneva Airport in France. Chateau Voltaire within 5 minutes walking distance
Breakfast not included!
Shower - very basic handheld - very small cubicle - dont drop the soap otherwise you will have difficulty bending down to pick it up!!
Reasonable price for a stop over before flying home. Beautiful old building, comfortable bed and helpful staff.
Breakfast is not included. I was put off by the reports of high taxi prices crossing the border so decided to walk to the airport as the bus did not run early on sunday mornings. It was a bit tricky and incredibly noisy walking under the air field. It took about 45 mins.
Window on to the square, comfortable room, good breakfast for a small hotel.
Small car park - use the road if you have a large car.
This is the second time I have stayed here, right in the centre of a beautiful village, close to the bus to Geneva or the airport, Comfortable home feeling room.
Night noises on the street. Not too many and part of the experience for me.
